Rewriting Justice #1

Justice Served Cold

Leira’s back in town and this time she’s making up the rules.

Leira Berens has split with the Feds and has gone out on her own to save her corner of the world. Magic is on the loose and the werewolves, Elves and Witches are causing trouble. Leira’s working on a new world with her Light Elf by her side and a certain swearing troll.

There are whispers among the dark Wizarding families that she’s a new kind of bounty hunter. Time to show them how it’s done. They’ll never see her coming.

NOTE: This book contains cursing. Perhaps humorous cursing, but cursing nevertheless. If this offends you, I don't suggest reading this book.

Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore but I was born under a wandering star and have lived in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.

I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.

There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.

Thank you for checking out my stories!

Justice Served Cold - a review by Rosemary Kenny

When evil Sirius lets loose his dark magic on the world, it's up to half-elf, half human bounty hunter Leira to put things right and bring justice that the Feds can't provide.
Martha Carr and Michael Anderle have created a new fantasy series in the Oriceran Universe, and Rewriting Justice, of which Justice Served Cold is the first exciting story really ticks all the fantasy thriller boxes for urban fantasy fans everywhere.

With Light Elf Correk and foul-mouthed troll Yumfuck guarding her back, what can possibly go wrong? Buy this must-have for your bookshelf today and tell all your friends to get it too!

Leira has returned........still a badass.....

My favorite human/elf detective has returned to fight off the dark magic that is threatening Earth. In this series of books, Leira no longer works for the Feds, but is on her own with the help of her friends and Yumfuck the Troll. The story comes alive in your mind, playing a video that only you and the author can see. It just makes you root all that much harder for Leira and friends.

Awesome Story!

Okay let me just say, as far as the relationships between the people in the story, this was the best storyline so far! YTT is really growing up and really showing how much he's starting to care for several new friends and how he's got Leira's back, even when she's not there. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite people in the books! Leira's coming in to her strength too. I simply love this storyline! Can't wait to see what comes next!

Leira, Correck, & Yumfuck

Move to DC, going out on her own and dealing with the rogue magical beings is her new life. Correck continues his duties as the Fixer. The Shifters are getting organized and found their own Santuary. The evil wizard Sirius tries to break into the Silver Griffins vault and steal the most powerful magical items. Leira , Yumfuck & Correck barely defeat him.

Leira 2.0

Austin Homicide Detective, Government contractor, and now freelance, Leira has made the move to Washington D.C. YTT and Correck have their own pursuits but always have her back. Sooo much going on. Dark Magic, shifters, politicians, and a new cast of neighborhood characters. Bought it. Read it. Loved it.

Something dark is coming...and Leira will vanquish it!

The continuing saga of Leira, Correck and YTT! Love these characters and the tangles they find themselves in. Her power is growing, will Correck be able to continue to ground her? And what about the shifters, the government and Jackson??

Leira is back! And this time she's not constrained by conflicting sets of rules...

It's Leira 2.0 and she's not taking any nonsense from anyone whether it's the government, her foes, or friends. Fans of Leira, Correk, and YTT will enjoy this next arc in the time before the gates between Earth and Oriceran open.

A smirk fest

The authors of these books are either obsessed with the word Smirk or they don't know any other way to express an emotion. I could read half a dozen other authors without reading a single smirk. In these it is hard to go a couple of pages without someone smirking. Buy a thesaurus.

Missing author

The work is showing the lack of the other author. Maybe I'm wrong. But the plotting was missing in this book. There was nothing happening. She had no goals she was bored. Come on that's not interesting. Especially compared to the other books. Where there were many subplots. Did love all the other books Kay hope things perk up

Fun new adventure

Yumfuck gets a bigger role in this one. The troll spreads his wings in DC and it's a lot of fun. There trouble plenty of trouble for Korea's too as she continues to struggle against the dark magic. Loving this series.

Werewolves and the struggles to survive

Liera's near misses with death keep you glued to page after page. The side story of the werewolves takes an engaging set of twists and turns.

New series arc

Well the start of a new series arc did not disappoint. I liked how we see the growth of the characters in this episode.
Still love YTT and I'm glad Sirius got what he deserved.
I look forward to seeing where the story will take us.😀

Big Suck

Tooooo slow moving. Got about a third of the way through. Some characters were just silly. Who ever heard of a troll under three feet. More like a cartoon. The author was preoccupied with her prose not the action.

Loving Leira

I stumbled on this series and instantly ate it all up. The novels are short and fast paced, leaving only teeny tiny threads dangling for the next book. Making my way to the School of Necessary Magic.

Started out a little slow but picked right up. Yumfuck features in quite a bit and they finally took care of Sirius. I have a good feeling for the rest of this series.

Kindle Unlimited, no idea what wrote here before, the review isn't showing up on amazon OR goodreads, probably something about needed to have half stars because some things just 'off', thought at first cut some slack because second part of series {one review said new series, NO, is NOT, there was Leira then Leira 2.0 so new part of the series} but after having read 1, 2 and now 3 NO, it's not getting to know new characters or direction, it's just not as good as it should be, so this one getting 4, #3 got a 3, not sure about what redo 2 to.
