I was offered this book by the author to review and gladly accepted it as I really enjoy how creative Penny Wylder can get with these short and smutty stories. I am definitely a fan of Ms Wylder's naughty novellas and have read several of them.
However this second chance story was just ok for me. If I am honest the story seemed a little underdeveloped and unfinished. It needed more I thought. She has definitely written much better books than this one, at least for me.
Sympathetic characters and she always brings it "in the bedroom". Worth reading if you are new to the author or have already exhausted her library.
Since this is the first in "The Dirty Brothers" series I am hoping to fall more in love with the next book.

So every one knows I love me some Penny Wylder!?
This was a fun and steamy read that I would recommend to everyone! They have a little history which makes it a bit more special too! What would be a bit more fun is an epilogue! I would've loved a bit more closure. But maybe that comes in the next one.

Hm. Somehow I missed the fact that this was a novella, read in one hour.
It could have been really nice, but I hated the premise. Ten years ago, our MCs were finally making out during prom night, when they were interrupted by their siblings' drama (his brother cheated on her sister, so the girls vowed to each other to hate the Logan brothers forever). So, holding that grudge for over a decade, since a little childish and unfair to judge a man for his teen and stupid years.
It could have been really nice, but I hated the premise. Great start to a new series!
I love Penny Wylder's sexy little novellas and I can tell that these Logan boys are going to be all kinds of naughty trouble!
Rose is back in her hometown to help bail her father out of a business emergency. The loan on his bakery has come due and he can't pay up. Her dad is going to lose the bakery, his livelihood, if she can't come up with some kind of plan.
Worse news is yet to come for Rose as she soon discovers that her father's loan is held by the heartless and unforgiving Logan family. Rose has long sworn off having any contact with the Logan brothers after one of them shattered her sister's heart, but when Thomas Logan, Rose's high school crush, comes swaggering in to help save the bakery, she's forced to collude with the enemy.
What starts out as a reluctant business relationship, turns into more as their attraction rekindles and their unresolved sexual tension comes to a boil.
Can Rose trust this Logan brother or is he just like the rest of his corrupt family? Can Rose betray her sister and their promise to each other, for a chance at happiness with Thomas?

Rose has returned home to help her fathers struggling bakery. It doesn't take long though before she sees Thomas Logan again. They had shared a moment years ago before her sister made her promise to swear off all men of the Logan family. She promised and until the day she sees Thomas again, she has kept it. However, Thomas handles the loan on the bakery and now Rose is forced to work with Thomas. Old feelings arise and Rose has to wonder if she can take a chance on the man who has always held her heart.
I liked the overall idea of this but thought Rose was a bit of a jerk to Thomas. I get why she pushed him away but years later she is not in high school anymore and at times it seems like it. I liked Thomas a lot, he is sweet and a bit naughty all in one. Series has promise.

This book ends at 36%. There’s a “bonus” book after that -Her Best Friend's Dad. It’s kinda sad that the main story isn’t even 50% of the book and that it’s stuffed with a previous release.
Safety- Ten year separation. They made out one night in high school. His brother cheated on her sister and after that she didn’t see him again. Both were with others during the separation.

I am no stranger to Penny Wylder reads and this one had me so excited to 1-click!
Flirt was a cute, sassy and hot read that will no doubt lure you in and hold you tight. I loved the characters and very much look forward to what is to be added to this series. Dirty Brothers will be some epic stories.
I missed that this didn't have an epilogue, but I am going to assume it is because there will be continuations with these characters therefore the author can't exactly give us readers any kind of finality.

Just okay. The smut was good, but it was so shallow. I have no idea what these people look like or why they like each other. Perfectly fine with the one-night stand...HEA? Not so sure.

The Logan brothers have me so excited!
In flirt, the first in a 3-novella series, we get to meet Thomas, a gorgeous and well-dressed hunk. He holds the future of a bakery and his owner his powerful hands, so the daughter comes back to town to save the day and has to face her old school crush.
Of course, the fun lies in trying and failing. Soon, they’re entangling in the sheets in the hottest sessions of lust you can dream of. I enjoyed this story a log because there’s a bakery (duh), a bold woman rescuing her father, a handsome man making naughty bets to win the woman he desires, and a hot relationship that evolves towards love.
The dialogues are lively, the heroine is strong and has issues with trust, and the hero is really good and generous behind that arrogant exterior. I loved the plot and the steamy scenes. Fabulous! I’m looking forward to the next story. Will it be about poor Fiona?

Flirt has definitely wet my appetite for this new series by Penny Wylder.
I've got a feeling the Dirty Brothers Series is going to be a one click magnet for many a trigger happy reader.
Flirt was the forbidden romance of Rose and Thomas and was exactly what I needed.
This novella is full of charm,chemistry,attraction and a red hot sexual magnetic pull.
I was really happy with how Flirt turned out and really enjoyed reading about Rose and Thomas and I'm so excited to see what the other two books have in store for us all.
I loved reading this novella and I couldn't get enough of their story.

This author knows how to write fun stories with hot men and wonderful dialogue. I loved this story and how the characters acted towards each other. I loved the push and pull and the sassy-ness of the female lead. I also cannot wait for more of these brothers! This book had the right amount of flirting, steam, heat, love, passion, and angst. I really enjoyed reading it! I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review.

I am a massive Penny Wylder fan so when she announced this series I knew I had to wait till all three were out and believe me it has been hard waiting to read them.
This is a second chance love story for Rose and Tom, ten years earlier they were on the verge of being a couple that is until their older siblings drama caused a rift between them and out of loyalty to her sisters pain and heartbreak she cut Tom out of her life.
Rose is back in her hometown to help her father out of a sticky loan situation on his bakery, things go from bad to worse when she discovers that the loan is with the one person she has to stay away from Thomas Logan. She needs to come up with a plan to save the bakery and do it fast, and the one person who can help decide her fathers fate is the one man she promised to never see again. Can she really trust Thomas to help her or will he let her down like her sister always warned? Can she betray the promise she made to her sister all those years ago?
Thomas Logan has loved Rose for as long as he can remember and just when he thought that they could finally be together she cuts him off with no explaination. Ten years on and she is back and this time he is determined to show her that they belong together. Can he show her that he isn't what she thinks and that her heart couldn't be in safer hands.

This was a lot shorter than what I thought it was. Flirt tells of the story between Thomas and Rose, two who were starting something 10 years ago, but Thomas's brother broke Rose's sister's heart at their school prom and they both vowed never to trust a Logan. Skip 10 years later and after trying to help her father with his business, a bet leads to Rose falling into bed with Thomas.
This book was a quick read, the story had a lot of promise if it had been longer. You get a feel for the characters in the present time but I would have liked to have seen a little bit more of their past. If this was developed more it could be a lot longer, seeing more of their past before the novella ended.
This novella does have it's hot and steamy parts, very detailed on those parts. Overall I wasn't racing to know how it all ended, but it was a pretty okay read. Would have liked to know more about the characters so I could feel a connection to them. I may give the second novella a chance as this one was a good read. 3.5 stars for me. Would have been five if it had been longer and more of a backstory to read about the characters.

Logan is a handsome guy with lots of money, money he has lent Rose dad. The feelings Rose & Logan had are coming back.

- Rose, she’s living on her own in NY but always needs to

Flirt," by Penny Wylder is the start of a new series and this is book 1. Rose and Thomas’s relationship is a forbidden love type. Rose is back in town to help her father with his business. When she finds out he borrowed money from the Logan Family, she is right angry with her dad.. They are the premiere family in the area and there is a history between Rose and Thomas. Rose hasn’t forgotten what should have been but never happened. When Tomas Logan walks into her dad’s bakery, she is immediately taken back to the past and their kiss. Thomas’s brother cheated on Rose’s older sister so there is definite history. Will Thomas and Rose be able to move beyond the past into the present or will the angst and anger not allow them to move forward? I liked the start to this new series- the forbidden, the angst, the heat, the angst and that 2nd chance at love. The main characters are believable and relatable. I look forward to reading book 2 and the next brother’s story.

Flirt is book one in the dirty brothers series. This story is short, fast paced and hot. I read this book within one sitting and was satisfied throughout. The writing style for this story is easy to follow. The characters are likeable and the storyline was a nice one. I liked that Rose came home to help her father with his failing bakery. She wanted Thomas but after what his brother did to her sister, she had made a promise to stay away from the Logan’s.
I did see some chemistry between Thomas and Rose but I would have liked a little more. I liked that they had hooked up in the past and the attraction was still there ten years later. I liked that Thomas went above and beyond to help Rose and her father.
I wasn’t a fan of Fiona. I understood that she had been hurt by a Logan but she took it out on the wrong brother. Instead of being happy that her sister was happy, she was mean and said things she shouldn’t have. I did like that she came around in the end but I am still not her biggest fan.

I am so looking forward to this new series about the Logan brothers. Thomas Logan was an absolutely dream boat that got a bad reputation basically because of his brother had one unforgettable night with Rose until she gets a phone call that changes everything . Rose has came back to town to help her Dad save his bakery, he owes money to a loan shark. The Loan Shark's son just happens to be her high school crush . Thomas Logan. Rose can't give him or any thing to do with the Logan family since they broke her sisters heart. Rose and Thomas are like match to a flame, no matter how much she tries she can't stay away.
I love reading about the characters when they are together its super hot and all consuming. I feel bad for Thomas he got a cruddy rep just by association, I loved his Alpha self-assurated attitude, and I like that he was strat up front with Rose about wanting her.
I am excited to see where this series goes.

This is a quick second chance romance.
Rose is coo I g home to help her dad with his failing bakery when she sees Thomas again. Thomas and Rose almost became a couple the night of her sister’s prom when she gets a call Fiona (her sister); she learns Sam, Thomas’ brother, broke her heart. They made a pact to hate the Logan family so Rose never spoke to Thomas again.
This book although short moved way very fast and I couldn’t really feel the building relationship between Thomas and Rose. If I’m being honest, I somewhat dislikes Rose because she was acting a bit childish and manipulative. You could tell Thomas was trying to help out her family throughout the entire book, but it felt like Thomas was just a sex bonus for her.
Although the pact was made by 2 teenage girls it’s kind of sad that Rose broke the pact within 24 hours of being home.
So all in all enjoyable but I liked Thomas better than Rose and I look forward to reading Rose and Sam’s story.

Rose is coo I g home to help her dad with his failing bakery when she sees Thomas again. Thomas and Rose almost became a couple the night of her sister’s prom when she gets a call Fiona (her sister); she learns Sam, Thomas’ brother, broke her heart. They made a pact to hate the Logan family so Rose never spoke to Thomas again.

Never trust a Logan was the pact between sisters when a Logan broke Roses sisters heart but now 10 years later back in town do to her dads struggling business Rose can’t help but remember Thomas the Logan brother who could have been more then just a kiss. But the sisters pact ended any chance of there being more between the two but now Thomas is the only one who can help her dads business and it doesn’t hurt that Thomas is still hot and sweet but will they get there chance this time around. One hot bet will light the spark again but will the past and pact come between them? HEA? Check
Thomas was hot and dominant but super sweet as well can’t wait to read about the next Logan brother.

Save your precious time
No character development and the heroine was a selfish b***h. She didn't think about anybody but her own happiness and was not a likeable character at all. Basically she paid her dad's debt on her back and I don't care how the author tries to dress it up. I'm not a fan of these kinds of plots because they're tricky and I'm doubtful of their feelings. Their chemistry was immature at best or maybe these people are still stuck in their high school days. I got bored and started skimming. Chunks of sentences are missing and clearly a good editor would've helped this book. I did have a good laugh picturing "steaks were running down her face" though. I'm going to say that's why I gave a one star writing but really it's not worth a stardust.

I've been on a little novella kick lately, and this was one of the best I've read so far. Rose comes home to Boston because her father is having financial issues. She runs into Thomas Logan, the brother of the man who broke her sisters heart, and feels an immediate attraction. Thomas wants Rose - he has since high school. He decides he's not letting her go.
The only way this book could have been better was if it was also told from Thomas's POV too. I liked this book so I immediately downloaded the second book in the series.

Super cute and hot short story. Really would have loved some character descriptions, especially the ladies. The editing was dreadful but book has earned stars & burn rankings for deliciousness 💋💋

A great start to the Dirty Brothers Series, with "Flirt," by Penny Wylder. This book features the first of the three, Logan brothers: Thomas. In this forbidden and second chance romance, Rose and Thomas' romance grabbed my attention, and held it, throughout this quick read. Nice introduction to characters, in the next-in-series. Drama, angst, family issues, excitement, romance and as always, just the right amount of steam. I can't wait to see how this, all plays out. A satisfying read, in a new series, by Wylder. I received this book as an ARC and I volunteered this review.

I really enjoyed this fun and sexy short read. An angst and emotional filled history connects and also divides Rose and Thomas. Now as they come face-to-face years later, the attraction and chemistry flames back to life causing drama and turmoil. I liked these two a lot. Their banter was hot and the scenes between them sizzle. Can these two move beyond their shared history, old hurts, anger and loyalty to their families to get a HEA this time? Read this steamy read that has lots of heart to find out. This is my voluntary, honest review.

Great read love these short stories!!!
I love these short stories like this, they are long enough for a great story but not to long that you get lost in some of the mumbo jumbo that some longer stories have. Having a series is a great plus by itself. Penny is one of the best authors I follow and at the moment I am working through her books. I love the fact that you get a great story with some steamy scenes and a happily ever after. I think everyone should read short stories like this.
