The Summit

She was in the wrong place.

He was too late to protect her.

Would this impossible moment lead to their death?

Ready to head home from a business meeting, Rhayne's full attention focused with laser intensity on the Secret Service Agent walking toward her. The pops that broke through the thrall shoved her back into her world. Mashed between his body and the stucco wall her every breath teased her with his scent.

Keiron tipped his sunglasses up just before entering the hotel for the presidential summit. The doors belched cold air into the humid south Georgia summer heat. His gaze met hers and his world exploded around him. Gunshots and Recognition happened at the same time. He moved quickly to protect the only female in the world born for him. He was too late. His next decisions were made with passion and not cold reason.

Shane left his restaurant, packed his bag and caught a flight to Savannah, Georgia. He didn't know who'd broken Pack law, only that he'd been called to uphold his job as Sentinel, executioner of the pack.

Thrown together, Keiron and Shane have a long term friendship, closer than brothers. That bond is tested when both realize Rhayne, a turned human, is the selected mate to both of their wolves. Will Shane have to execute his bond mates when the Were Council reviews the case?

I “might” have liked this if it had been the M/F/M I had been expecting and not the m/m/f I found....

I’d read the first four or five chapters on amazon and thought hey ,even though this book looks crazy overpriced at 9.99 by and author I’ve NEVER heard of and the characters have way more inner monologue and thoughts going on that outer dialogue going on ( something I absolutely loathe) I’ll give this a shot ....
Anyway despite the O soo long and rambling and sometimes distracting tangents Rhyane and Keiron went on in their inner monologues they seemed like interesting characters and I was curious to see where things went ...
Soo I clicked on KU and downloaded it...
(Warning spoilers ahead)
Curiosity got the better of me when their inner ramblings got a bit too long winded and distracting, sooo curious to see how things ended I skipped ahead to what I though was the last chapter... Chapter 14 because it was the last chapter listed in the table of contents.....
Well it wasn’t.... It was where both men were with a seemingly sexually insatiable Rhyane,”claiming” her over and over again a few “toys” included just to try and keep up with her desperate need foe them and sex.....
Finally they all seemed to pass out for a while then suddenly Kei has a horrible dream where Rhyane dies and he’s soo lost to the dream he actually thinks she’s dying an is lost to the dream and is starting to mourn and grieve and supposedly could die from this ...
* Bull sh*& * but yeah there you go..
Well when Rhyane is able to finally get him calm and under control ,just as she does this, for some crazy reason now both guys are hard and horny and Shane the more dominate of the two suddenly feels the need to “claim” Kei, ?
Soo guess what ?
He does ...
He starts kissing Kei and Kei hesitates for about half a second, then gives in, both telling the other in their minds that they want the other .... then with their “mate “ on the couch beside them they F and the suck each other and bite their claims into each other ....
Total and complete blindside!!!
This wasn’t hinted at in the description nor did it seem to a part of things when they were all over Rhyane ... just suddenly it was there....

I love a good M/F/M ménage ,you know where ANY AND _ALL_ romantic sexual attention if solely focused in the woman...
Coz hey,m/m isn’t my thing,and this a personal fantasy and I don’t share...
Now if m/m is your thing and you don’t mind a long and ending story where there is more inner monologue then outer dialogue and where the main focus is some lame council trying to harass them because they don’t want to believe that three people can be mates ( btw the claiming I just mentioned in chapter 14 is only about 50% thur the book) and the m/m isn’t a one time off thing..... these two take to being bi very quickly ....

This might be for you....but between the long drawn out thoughts and what I thought was a M/F/M becoming a m/m/f, plus a lot that didn’t really work for me like the whole:
humans being turned by their mates and having two of them is just too unheard of to have not been forced into or coerced into by the wolf or the human ....

But hey, even though m/m isn’t my thing if you want to write it ,that's fine it’s your story to tell / book to write ,but as a reader I just ask you to own it and not blindside the readers who might not want it in their story ....
Give us a choice that’s all I ask...

I liked the background and characters in this paranormal, shifter, fated mates story. The book is a little RH with two best friends discovering they are mates to the same woman. Be aware, the two men bond as well. I don't think the Amazon description is clear about that. There IS M/M action. This is a hot, steamy read, with elements of drama and passion. It's very intriguing, and I will be looking at the other books in the series.

This is my first time reading this author, I’m always on the look out for authors of good shifter books and so I gave this one a read. I liked the plot and thought it was interesting and intriguing. The characters are well written as are their interactions. There’s some steam in this book that also includes MMF which isn’t an issue for me, but I understand it can be for some. I enjoyed reading this book and shall look for more from this author.
