Half work pretty good and the other half were oh Em Gee I want to scream and pull my hair out!
Just so I am clear, I am a Christian I try to treat everyone with respect, But the way these authors write some of their brides who are treated with distain, abusively, and have lies told about them in the brides say nothing is pushing me over the edge and makes me want to scream. Let’s take book one just for example Cory is sent to North Dakota, because her selfish spoiled sister Stephanie says she is in love with the governor of Massachusetts son and doesn’t want to go. So I have to Cory gets there and they create a solid routine and a comfortable family life guess who knocks on the door? Yes, it’s Stephanie and she act surprised and taken aback that her sister Cory is there in her intend to Taos. No one asked her why she didn’t come on the date that was set for her to come and her sister did instead oh no she’s allowed to blind us sisters integrity call her a liar so she has money hungry and a Golddigger… All the things that Stephanie is of course. Then of all things Brandon who was falling in love with Cory is so mesmerized by Stephanie‘s beauty that he doesn’t know what to do or who to believe. He doesn’t ask why why didn’t you come on the day we planned and why didn’t you write to say you weren’t coming? Now it gets even worse when he asked Cory to defend herself… Yes he asked Cory not Stephanie did offend her self she doesn’t want to say anything because the crew stepdaddy and her crew sister might be more about her words and how would that be to be wet it to a family you don’t get along with. She is so kind she doesn’t want to cause trouble. This is BS the Bible says do not give dogs what is holy; Do not cast your pearls before swine but they will trample them and come back and attack you Matthew fourthroughseven but now she says nothing and he lets her go and take care of the sheriffs baby after his wife dies in childbirth. The same sheriff who horse gets stolen by Stephanie who selfishly pushes the horse to art and gets the horses leg broken and steals the injured animals blanket so she could be warm while waiting for rescue. I can’t believe what these authors make these mail order brides look like doormats. I am just so over it and sick of it. When Cory got off the train she was honest and held her head high with integrity all she needed was the side of her sister to become a meek doormat, Not to mention Cory along with her self to be a multiple choice with her sister Who will he pick me or Stephanie? I tell my two girls all the time don’t be anyone’s multiple-choice but I digress because this is just book one and I’m not going through all 10 bucks but some of them were pretty good. It was just the ones where the women with doormats and let people treat them like crap and say nothing.
