3.5 stars. Malmuira's family traded her hand to a rival clan to broker peace. Like Malmuira, her new husband, Oidchie, doesn't want to marry her but will to keep the peace. In the beginning, they don't rub along so well together, Mal refuses to bed him and Oidchie believes he can make her beg for him - seems a little dramatic.
I expected more passion in this novel because of how much Oidchie tells Mal she will want him. It just wasn't there. The author used modern language that isn't correct for the time. Not a bad story though.
