Alienn, Arkansas #3.5

The Vampire's Unintended Alien

Rate this book
Isabel Winstead has found acceptance and excitement in the hidden alien community growing in Nocturne Falls, where werewolves and gargoyles and witches live in plain sight. She loves her life in the Halloween-themed Georgia town, loves her job and her friends and — sigh — loves an absolutely delicious and unattainable vampire who doesn’t know she exists.

Half-vampire, half-sorcerer Viktor Hart revels in his bachelorhood. He adores his family, is a respected craftsman, drives a fast car and hangs out every night at Insomnia with his buddies. He’s never met a woman he’d be willing to sacrifice his independence for. Until Isabel and one mind-blowing birthday kiss.

Naturally, it must be a love spell.
The honorable thing would be to break the spell and let Isabel make up her own mind—even if she doesn’t choose him.

Honor sucks.

Fiona Roarke is a multi-published author who lives a quiet life with the exception of the characters and stories roaming around in her head. She writes about sexy alpha heroes and used them to launch her very first series, Bad Boys in Big Trouble.

Next up, a new Sci-Fi contemporary romance series set in Arkansas. When she's not curled on the sofa reading a great book or at the movie theater watching the latest action film, Fiona spends her time writing about the next bad boy (or bad boy alien) who needs his story told.

A hearty dose of laughter, each and every day, is required along with lots of coffee first thing in the morning as important parts of her routine.

The Vampire’s Unintended Alien is part of the Nocturne Falls Universe where the town Nocturne Falls is a safe haven for supernaturals and they celebrate Halloween 365 days a year. This story can be read as a stand-alone.

Viktor and Isabel are attracted to each other. Their was no getting to know each other. It was BAM they are in love just after one kiss. Thou Viktor is convinced his mother cast a love spell and so he tries to stay away, but can’t.

The story has a cute concept and we get a verity of supernaturals, but their was really no plot. The love between them is instant.

The Vampire’s Unintended Alien is a cute title and an ok read, but the story was blasé. I wasn’t impressed.

The Vampire’s Unintended Alien by Fiona Roarke

From the Kindle world of Nocturne Falls where everyday is celebrated as Halloween so the paranormal residents can live openly.
4th in the Alien sub mini collection. Can be read as a standalone but many references to prior books might make this better read as a series.

Viktor and Isabel are compellingly attracted to each other. He is convinced his mother caused this with a love spell. But he can’t stay away from Isabel long enough for the spell to wear off.

Sweetly Cute and entertaining. They both love the same candy bar. (Chuckle) I have trouble choosing a top 5. Guess that means there isn’t a half dragon, half witch waiting for me out in that crazy world. Sigh.

This is a great book; this book is part of the Nocturne Falls Universe and is written by Fiona Roarke. The Nocturne Falls series is written by Kristen Painter and I was so happy that these new books by new authors were asked to write a story in the town. Nocturne Falls is a town that celebrates Halloween every day of the year and also a place that paranormal’s can live and not have to hide what they really are.
This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author.

Naughtiness 2 *

Absolutely brilliant, always love adventures with our friends from Alpha Prime this is definitely one I adore even more as a lot of things about our heroine and hero struck me and definitely stayed with me in the best way,

I laughed with our characters and followed their path with them and their heartaches and their hearts soaring, most definitely another adored book in the NFU Series, can't wait to read more.

Thank you so much for writing it x

Sweet, cute story of an alien pining for a half-vampire half-sorcerer, who secretly in love with said alien. They were attracted to each other, yet the vampire believed it’s all because of a love spell. Is it really?

Although this is a standalone book, quite a lot of references to previous books in it made this book more enjoyable if you’ve read those previous ones.

I was provided a complementary copy by the author / publisher, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions.

This is a sweet, cute, and engaging story. It was fun to read and follow along with these characters. This can be read as a stand alone though might be better enjoyed by reading this series in order.

This is already the author's sixth story in Nocturne Falls following the three rescue stories Close Encounters Of The Alien Kind, Invasion of the Alien Snatchers and The Alien Who Fell To Earth. There is also  a short story Have Yourself a Merry Little Alien from Merry & Bright: A Christmas Anthology (Nocturne Falls Universe), and The Dragon's Spellbound Alien. The stories are best read in order and complemented by the author's Alienn, Arkansas series, You've Got Aliens, How to Lose an Alien in 10 Days, and My Big Fat Alien Wedding.
This story is about Victor, the other brother we met in the previous story, and Isabel, the alien half-breed who desperately wanted to escape Alpha-Prime. I think this is my favourite so far. This story is so incredibly sweet, lovely, romantic and slightly unexpected. Not to mention that it contains a dose of trouble, a bit of stalking, quite an amount of misunderstanding, and a clear message that no means no.
The characters are extremely lovable and the author did a great job of incorporating them into both of the worlds. I expect that ruby's story will be next and i am looking forward to it.
Alienn, Arkansas series contains five books at the moment: You’ve Got Aliens (Alienn, Arkansas Book 1), Close Encounters Of The Alien Kind: A Nocturne Falls Universe story (prisoner), Invasion of the Alien Snatchers: A Nocturne Falls Universe story (guard), The Alien Who Fell to Earth: A Nocturne Falls Universe Story (pilot) - the rescue trilogy is also published as one book Aliens Actually (A Nocturne Falls Universe Collection), How to Lose an Alien in 10 Days, (Alienn Arkansas Book 2), My Big Fat Alien Wedding (Alienn, Arkansas Book 3), and 10 Things Aliens Hate About You (Alienn, Arkansas Book 4) has been announced. Great series and I highly recommend it.
Nocturne Falls series is fantastic and I highly recommend it. The reading order is: The Vampire's Mail Order Bride (Nocturne Falls #1), The Werewolf Meets His Match (Nocturne Falls #2), The Gargoyle Gets His Girl (Nocturne Falls, #3), The Professor Woos The Witch (Nocturne Falls, #4), and The Witch’s Halloween Hero (Nocturne Falls #4.5) in Spell of the Ball Anthology, The Werewolf's Christmas Wish (Nocturne Falls #4.6) in Hex the Halls Anthology, The Vampire’s Fake Fiancée (Nocturne Falls #5), A Vampire's Valentine Surprise (Nocturne Falls #5.5), Miss Frost Solves A Cold Case : A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #1), The Shifter Romances The Writer (Nocturne Falls #6), Miss Frost Ices The Imp : A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #2), The Vampire’s True Love Trials (Nocturne Falls #6.5) in Taming the Vampire collection, Miss Frost Saves The Sandman : A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #3), The Dragon Finds Forever (Nocturne Falls #7), The Vampire's Accidental Wife (Nocturne Falls #8), Miss Frost Cracks A Caper (Jayne Frost #4), When Birdie Babysat Spider: A Jayne Frost Short (Jayne Frost #4.5), Miss Frost Braves the Blizzard (Jayne Frost #5), and ever growing series of Nocturne Universe Novels, which surpassed 30 by now. Great world to get yourself immersed in.

Series: Alienn, Arkansas #3.5; Nocturne Falls Universe
Rating: 3 stars - I liked it

Isabel Winstead has found acceptance in the hidden alien community in Nocturne Falls. She loves this little town, her job, and her friends. Unfortunately she can’t get over her crush on the unattainable vampire, Viktor Hart.

This was a major instant love story. Viktor barely knows Isabel but the moment he kisses her he falls in love. He is convinced it's because of a love spell his mother put on him and causes Isabel a lot of pain and embarrassment. I liked seeing Viktor fall in love but I do wish there had been more of a development in their relationship.

I liked Isabel a lot. She was sweet and determined to build a new life for herself in Nocturne Falls. She left Alpha-Prime because of her abusive half-brother and now just wants to find happiness. She finds it with Viktor, pretty abruptly like I said, but they were still cute together. Overall, cute story but there was no build up in the relationship which might be a turn off for some people.

The Vampire's Unintended Alien was another great addition to Nocturne Falls. We see again the characters from previous stories and follow more aliens on their Earther journey. This felt similar to The Dragon's Spellbound Alien and I wished we would have had a different obstacle for Viktor than what seemed to befall his brother in the previous book. I hope that if we get an alien for the sister, that Fiona takes a path away from the spellbound obstacle. I connected well with the characters, and really enjoyed Isabel's side of the story. I really do hope to see more of this book.
I rated the book 4 stars only because Viktor could have been swapped with his dragon brother from the previous book in terms of how they treated the love interest.

This is a story about Isabel and Viktor. Isabel is an alien who comes from Alpha Prime to Earth in order to get away from her horrible half-brother. Viktor is a half-breed vampire who lives in Nocturne Falls with his adoptive mother and brother. When coming to Nocturne Falls, Isabel falls madly in love with Viktor just from one look. Viktor is a known bachelor, who is off limits by personal choice. The story wraps around Isabel and Viktor's unlikely romance. It was a cute story, but slow paced in some areas.

For Isobel it was love at first sight, so when Viktor kisses her as a birthday wish she’s in heaven. Viktor feels this undeniable attraction to the pretty woman he kissed. But is convinced they’re under a spell.

Nocturne Falls alien residents are growing. And this newest addition into their stories was fantastic. The writing is amazing and I felt the stomach dropping moments along with the sweet moments. There was plenty happening in the whirlwind romance.

So much fun with a tiny side of angst.

The Vampire’s Unintended Alien, A Nocturne Falls Universe Story by Fiona Roarke is a great addition to bothe her Alienn, Arkansas Series, and to Nocturne Falls. I love how she’s managed to intertwine her Aliens with Kristen Painter’s Universe. Although her heroines’ troubles were resolved quite quickly, it’s understandable given these are such short stories. Still well worth 4 stars.

Fiona Roarke is my favourite guest author in the Nocturne Falls Universe Series. I like her style and the fantasy/sci-fi/alien genre mash up she's created, and her latest addition doesn't disappoint.

But I would suggest for greatest enjoyment those who haven't read Fiona's previous contributions to NFU start at the beginning with her first release 'Close Encounters of the Alien Kind'

I liked the female character, but her crush was a bit to teenager like. He was acting like a teenager too. So I really did not liked the way they acted. Between him thinking they are in love because his mother put a spell on them and her being an alien and the end of that story... his mother had him in the program so he could save her from leaving the planet? No way. This story is a miss.

I really like this story. Isabel fell in love with Viktor at first sight. Took him a little longer to notice her. When he did he was entranced. Enjoyable read with great characters, chemistry, fun with intrigue.

Aliens - so fun

Aliens, true love, prejudice, and evil plotting relatives, a mother who really wants grandchildren, and some intriguing backstories. Also, full disclosure, I really like everything I’ve read by Fiona Roarke!

Witchy spells or not

Was there a love spell involved? It wouldn't have mattered, true love rang true for both half-breds. According to fate it would forever!

Enjoyable and not too long.

I enjoyed this far more than the last book. Partially as the love was a slow grower but denied in both parties. I much preferred the less magical look but also the more prominent level of alien coming through. I found the return of the mental phrase a fun call back to the previous book and would love to see the gothic leatherwork. I hope the last book follows in these footsteps.
