Stockbridge #2

Under the Owl Tree

Rate this book
"...Under the Owl Tree is where it all started, and Under the Owl Tree is where it all would end...."

Moving to Stockbridge, Georgia wasn’t how I planned on starting my senior year. I didn’t want to have to prove my worth in an all-boys sport or deal with the inevitable struggles of being the “new girl”. I definitely didn’t want to find myself falling for someone who was completely off limits — the assistant coach, Zach Shaw.

It was as if we were at war, just waiting for the first one to cave into temptation. But I wasn’t his toy, and my feelings weren’t his playground. I needed to know that I was more to him than the casual fun he was used to in the past. I needed to know that breaking the rules would be worth it.

Zach and I were right together.

So right.

Secret meetings under the Owl Tree would ignite a flame so large that when anything or anyone tried to smother it, it would only cause more destruction.

Brace yourselves. This story isn’t for the faint-hearted. It’s messy and full of imperfections. But if I learned one thing from all of this, it is that when you find that little bit of happy, no matter how small, you hold onto it and refuse like hell to let go.

Sara Daniell

Sara Daniell’s story started in the quiet little town of Cedarburg, Wisconsin until her dad’s job transferred him to Arkansas. She thought life would officially be over with that move, but to her surprise, Arkansas is where she found love, married her best friend and had her two amazing daughters.

For years, Sara was a closet writer. Something most knew nothing about because she felt like she’d be looked down upon since most weren’t accepting of writing about fantasy worlds and magic. It wasn’t until her best friend and husband told her she needed to pursue what made her happy and to hide that for no one. So, with a deep breath and a beat up laptop, she did it.

Sara has made many close friends in the writing business and says it feels like a family more than anything else. She says she feels more confident in herself for pursuing what she loves and not letting the limited perceptions of others’ define who she is. She’s a go getter, a dream chaser, and if that makes her crazy, that’s fine with her.

Epic Journey & Self Discovery.

Oh..Wow..
So I love the fact that Hailey is a baseball player a good player at that. I also LOVE that she moves to GA to the town the first book takes place in and has interconnecting characters! I so love that! Especially the Shaws! Being able to see Elliot and Millie is heart warming. (Hailey & Sam are so much a like I just love it!!!)

I'm NOT a fan of the way Hailey's parents are so strickt with her over her sport and such. I mean come on. :/

And the tabooness of Zach and Hailey I LOVE I can't help but love it!!!!!!!
There struggles with everything were so real for what I'd guess there she gap, hidding it from everyone, and him being the assistant coach, plus some would be.

*~*Spoiler Alert*~*
There break up was bound to happen, her dating Dane was kind of a "I knew it moment in a way" all three of them coming to terms with it all and ending up with the people they should be with was the best turning point.

I absolutely LOVE the point and story of the Owl Tree.

This is the second book in the series and was a little tougher then book one. We see Zach and Hailey's love story. Elliott is throughout the book as well and you see how his story ends. Zach and Haey's story is a little bit tougher to accept even though she is 18, she is still in high school. Sara goes through all the emotions you should feel throughout the book. If you are not feeling what you should she will get that feeling out of you. Again there are some very sad moments of the book, you see brotherly love tested and strong relationships. I loved it from the start as well.

If you have not read book one, I strongly suggest that you do so the whole story makes more since. Sara is an amazing writer and this is the second book of hers that I have read. I look forward to reading many more of her books.

Emotional

This is the 2nd book in the series but a standalone but you should read her first book because you will understand it better!!!! Tears wow another amazing storyline this time on zach him finding true love even tho she's a bit younger she might be the one to stop his play boy ways! Sam and Elliott were in the first book she passed after having Millie but Elliott moved on by becoming a coach of the baseball team and being a single dad he takes in Dane one of the players. We get to see Millie as a little girl! Wow I'm still speechless amazing job I loved it!! I can't wait to read more!!!

I loved the characters and their stories! I loved that this was the second in a series, and we got to see some more of Elliot and Millie (and Sam, too). I really liked Zach in the first book and am so happy we got to know him more throughout this story. This was a turn that I didn't see coming for Zach, but I think Hailey is perfect for him. Hailey was a strong heroine for a book. She didn't give up on her dreams or trying to live the life she planned; she just figured out that life was better with Zach in it.

Another great story by Mrs. Daniell!

This book is so much more incredibly deep then the synopsis gives way. Wow the emotions in this one are deep. To be honest I started out slightly weird about the prospect of a 18 year old having anything to do with a 26 year old, but their relationship is just more. It isn’t pervy or gross it is so much more mature on many levels. The other stories running along with the focus story are on so many more levels it is incredible. Just needs to be said on so many many levels cancer SUCKS!!!!!! 💔💔💔

Once again Sara Daniell- Hailey is a sports lover that finds herself moving to a small town and finding an interesting distraction in the sexy Zach. He was off limits to her, but didn't that make things that much spicier when they decided to sneak around? What happens when secrets are discovered and not everyone agrees on them being together? Thank you for allowing me to read this and write about it.

This book was a little all over the place, and the writing style just wasn't for me.

Hales is in her senior year in high school, just moved to a new town with her parents and also turned 18. She has a goal of getting into the major league in baseball and her parents, mostly her dad, is going to make sure nothing stops her. Agree meets the assistant coach and starts falling for him. Read this if you want to find out what happens next. It is a little faster pace in the story line and I struggled with the relationship at first because this is the assistant coach for the high school. Once I was able to get over it the story pulled me in and I loved it. I recommend this book.
