We don't always get to pick who we're attracted to.

Rachel Garwood is attracted to Sean from the moment she sees him. Even if she doesn’t want to be. He isn’t her type, but there is just something about him.

When he invites her to a house party, she hears a rumor about him. And now, she needs to know if it's true.

Sean King isn't like most other guys when it comes to sex. He loves to make woman come. Some say it's his kink. He says it's just who he is.

And when Rachel confronts him in his bedroom he has to make a decision. Does he turn her away or show her the rumors are true?

Rachel and Sean were introduced in Dirty. Now, you can read how the two of them came together in their own story. Kinky is a 23,000-word novella that takes place before Dirty. It can be read as a standalone.

Kinky is Rachel's story. In Dirty we meet Rachel and Sean who have been a long standing couple, so this book takes us back to the college years when they first started dating. I would recommend you read Dirty first as it enhances this storyline, however it isn't essential.

Rachel and Elise are best friends. In college they were each other's wing women and go too person. When Rachel met Sean, Elise was the first to realise Rachel was hot for him. The girls are happy to enjoy the college experience and decide to go to a party at the boys house.

Everything Rachel hears about Sean makes her like him even more and when these two get together it's kinky as hell. What started out as lustful thoughts turns into so much more. Once you have met the one nothing can stand in the way.

5 out of 5. I'm a huge fan of these two authors and really enjoyed this read. When it's meant to be its. Want to be.

Rcvd and ARC at no cost to author...I loved Rachel and Sean!! So we got to the beginning and we see how Rachel and Sean started their love affair. As we all know things are not always perfect and they had their problems luckily for us and them they do get the resolved. And now let me get to Elise and Luke's story, my favorite couple from these authors. Enjoy!

This novella follows the love story of Sean and Rachel over the span of twelve years. They meet by chance in one of their college lectures, and after Sean invites Rachel and her bff Elise to his house party, their whirlwind romance takes off. Even though the blurb makes it seem like it centers around their college-age romance (at least to me), I think it circles more around Rachel's ability to trust in Sean's feelings and being able to depend on him, while Sean just wants to know that Rachel is interested in him for who he is and not because of the rumors surrounding him. Overall, it had cute and steamy moments and moments where I wanted to slap some sense into Sean and Rachel (mostly Sean). A quick and entertaining freebie read.

I didn’t enjoy it as much as I expected. The premise was intriguing and I wondered where the story would go. I was let down.

The rumor is just a reason for the main characters to get together, after a minor conflict, and then the story goes in another direction–that, admitedly, I didn’t see coming–and we never read about it again. And the main conflict–the plot twist–doesn’t make much sense, brings a several year jump in the story, is resolved quickly and ends with an happily ever after that left a bad taste in my mouth.

I loved the characters and I was disappointed that their love story didn’t please me more.

Quickie

- Series: Dirty love #1 (can be read as a standalone)
- Hashtags: #new adult romance #second chance
- Triggers: N/A
- Main couple: Rachel Garwood & Sean King
- Hotness: 4/5
- Romance: 3/5
- + I enjoyed the slow seduction at the beginning
- – I didn’t enjoy some of the later elements though, they ruined the characters for me

In Luke & Elise’s Book Dirty we get a glimpse on Nate & Rachel.

Kinky is Nate & Rachel’s book, it backtracks all the way to when they were in college and it explains how they met and how they fell in love with one another.

This book has all the emotions wrapped up in one. You will laugh, Feel angry and some tears will escape. I enjoyed this book because its plot was well put together!

I love to take something away from a book whether it’s a lesson or just something that stands out to me, and what I took away from this book is “True love never dies and it will always find its way back to you no matter what.” Nate & Rachel’s story proves that!!

So I originally wanted to know the background story behind Sean and Rachel, when we first met them in Dirty. I was intrigued but how a relaxed man such as Sean who had a go with the flow attitude could go for a girl, who no offence seemed a bit high maintenance (but in the good way where she has great taste in shoes). Then Kinky came out with there story finally! I was so pumped to read this, so thank you ladies for getting this out. They did not dissapoint Sean was wonder and I enjoyed getting to see more of Rachel's personality. This can be read as a stand alone. Which is nice as it doesn't spoil anything from the other books. Sean is an attractive man that "rumor has it, likes to get woman off". Rachel was already interested but after hearing that what girl would go for it and from there on is a steamy beginning. That being said if you have not read it, you should. Will it change your life, no. Will it make for a wonderful passing of time absolutely. My first book of R.L Kenderson was there supernatural Forbidden Blood. It was so good I had no choice but to continue that series. Then I found there contempary romance book called Dirty and that wonderful. I love writers that can pull me into there world and make me want to befriend there characters. Renae and Lara do this for me, they have the suspence, and depth to there characters. I am now trying patiently to wait for there next one coming out which should be Nate's story. - Sarah

This is a novella on two of the characters from the book dirty. I loved this as you got more of an insight into the characters. This author has a fab way of writing dialogue for the couples. This is a very engaging story line with exceptional characters. This is a fantastic addition to the series. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

Highly recommended

This is the first book in the Dirty Love series and is a novella so it's more like book .5. It's the only novella in the series. This is Rachel and Sean's backstory and was written after the author decided to make Friends with Benefits part of a series of books so it was written after Friends with Benefits. You meet Rachel and Sean in the book Friends with Benefits when they're engaged to be married. You don't have to read this book before the others or read the other books to enjoy this one.

Rachel and Sean met and fell in love in college. They were together for six years but Rachel wants more but Sean doesn't think they need marriage. When he moves away for a job Rachel doesn't move with him and that causes the end of their relationship. She doesn't want to force Sean into doing something he doesn't want to do and she doesn't want to uproot her life for a man who could easily walk away from her. They both move on with their lives but can't really forget about each other. How do these two find a way back to each other?

How did I not know about this author? Great book, great storytelling, great characters. You can feel the love jumping off the page. I’ll definitely have to read more from this offer.

Piper’s husband, Jordan, is killed in a car accident but his best friend Nate survives. Jordan begs Nate to take care of Piper. It’s been a year since Jordan’s death and Piper misses sex and is ready to “get laid”. After a couple of dates she realizes the person she can trust and the person she wants to be with is Nate. But Nate is the king one night stands. After one night with Piper she is all he can think of. This is a great book about how two people feel so guilty one of possibly causing Jordan’s death and the other one of just living with the grief, don’t know if I can be together. You can just feel the emotions jumping off the page, and the heat from their love making. There’s no way that it’s just sex with him it’s coming together and try coming together of two hearts.

Young love becomes the real mature love of their dreams

I received an Advance Reader Copy for Kinky (Naughty, Book #0.5) written by R L Kenderson and voluntarily reviewed this book. This contemporary romance novella is Sean and Rachel’s story, and we do see a bit of Elise and Luke since the author goes back to how the four had met, taking the same class at college. Their story is sweetly sexy, with the normal route undertaken between two young adults drawn to each other, until they find themselves being together for a period of six years. But then suddenly, even with careers and a home together established, it was not enough, especially for Rachel, who yearned for much more. That crossroads was met with a huge change and then their story became one of a second-chance romance of mature love.

This book covers the span of more than 10 years in just a short amount of pages. Normally, it would take a much longer book to go over that much time and cover the progression of a relationship, but they were able to do it. Although I do wish it was a full-length novel and not a novella.

I loved reading the progression of Sean and Rachel's relationship from college into their adult lives. Because of the condensed length of the book, it was almost as if we were getting snippets of their lives instead of the whole story, and that did disappoint me a bit, but it was okay. The characters were amazing and I was thoroughly sucked in.

This book is a great choice if you have a limited amount of time as it's a quick read, but you also want to get a glimpse of more than just a short period of time.

Rachel meet Sean when they are both in college. They are both attracted to each other and when she gives in one evening she ends up saying something that upsets him. So Sean tries to avoid her but their attraction has them drawn back to each other. They end up talking about what went wrong between them and starts seeing each other for years. Then when he gets offered a job in another city Rachel doesn;t want to leave her friends and family behind to follow him so it ends thing between them. Then just when she is out with some friends she sees Sean with another woman. Is Sean back in town for good? Will they get another chance?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Rachel and Sean met in college and were both attracted to each other. When she hears the rumor about how he likes to please the woman he's with, she wants to see if that's all true. Sean is tired of women coming on to him because of how he likes to please women. A misunderstanding between them causes some tension when they see each other for a few weeks but their attraction is too hard to ignore for long and they start a relationship. When Sean gets a job offer he asks her to come with him but she is hesitant so they try the long distance thing which doesn't work out. Years later he is back in town when Rachel sees him, it's clear she still has feelings for him but he's with another woman. Has she missed her chance with Sean?

I received this book as an ARC , this is an honest review.

Rachel and Sean meet in college. Initially, they are quiet and shy around each other. Rachel heard a rumor and fueled with liquor asked Sean if it was true. (You'll have to read the book to find what the rumor was.) Sean was hurt that she thought so little of him but he confirmed the rumor then was standoffish toward her for the next couple of months.

They were matched for a class project and things heated up. The story moved quickly through the years until they part. Time, distance, life, and egos get in the way. This story begins with the end but you need to read it to find out what is inbetween and the start of the book Dirty.

Enjoy,

The author has released two shorter stories featuring characters from the book Dirty. It is definitely a good choice for those who have read Dirty and want to know more about the other characters. This novella takes place before Dirty and can be read as a standalone.

It features the story of Rachel and Sean.. They meet in college and have an intense relationship. Rachel is not sure he was the one for her but once they get together, the connection between them is undeniable. For a good girl, she knows how to have a lot of fun. The story shows the ups and downs of their relationship and is a real intimate look at the couple. I enjoyed it and found it to be a great addition to the series.

I loved this introduction to the Naughty series. It's a nice indicator of the emotion and sizzle in the series. The book covers a lot of time from the couple's meeting in college through their twenties. Rachel is unusually attracted to Sean, he's not her type but the attraction won't be denied. Sean feels the same, but when she listens to the rumors about him and the his kink of pleasuring women, their first encounter is less than stellar. The rest of the story is their long journey to an eventual HEA. Even this short novella has a deep range of emotions: humor, passion, heart ache, and love. I can't wait to dig into the next book in the series.

This book was really good. It was written differently than I’ve read before but I really enjoyed it. It spans a long period of time but that’s probably because it was a novella written after another book so timelines have to match up. Sean and Rachel are on college together and start a romance that doesn’t find its HEA for like 12 years. The story follows them from their initial connection, to building a relationship, to falling apart, and then reconnecting later in life. I loved their story and their relationship is super HOT.

Rachel runs into Sean at a college lecture and he invites her to a party. There are rumors about how giving Sean is with his partner, and he is tired of being used. So Rachel and Sean hit it off and there is a misunderstanding and years pass. They do hook up again, but Rachel has some issues they need to deal with. I thought it was a good story and it was well written. There were some twists over all this was an entertaining story and I enjoyed it. Rachel and Sean had some chemistry and their interaction was great. The ending was perfect.

Waking up late, and late for class, Rachel and her roommate 'just' make it to class. After roll call a guy asks them about drinks. Before she knows it they are invited to their first college party. Getting in free, Rachel hears a rumour about Sean. Rachel finds out that it's true, but it could come at a cost!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this engaging, entertaining, and compelling story. The characters are likeable, relatable, and have depth. I liked how the relationship changes between them over the 10 years that they are together - and apart. The story is well written, fast paced with lots of chemistry between the characters. Recommended!

I loved this novella about Rachel & Sean. To go back and read their story was fantastic. Their romance story is certainly not smooth sailing, and I really wanted to punch Sean when he upped and moved cities for a better job opportunity. I wondered how he could be so dense and not put two and two together in regards to his relationship with Rachel. But luckily this does end in a HEA. Now I will need to go back and reread Elise & Luke's story!!

I loved Rachel and Sean’s story! In “Dirty” they already have a stable, long-standing relationship and in “Kinky” we get the background on them, how they started, and why it took so long to get to where they are in “Dirty”.

What an emotional ride. For a novella, their story is full steam, lust, romance, love, deep heart-ache, and a beautiful HEA. I was completely taken with their story and OMG, my heart broke and hurt for Rachel.

This is a great addition to the Naughty series! A series I definitely recommend!

Glad a book was written for Sean & Rachel. Friends of Elise and Luke from Dirty. This was a lovely story of not forgetting your first love. Tbh I think I would have liked it to be a longer read, but that’s my opinion. I love the way the authors write, your are made to feel like you are right there with them. Reading this tale has reinforced my determination to re-read Dirty at some point. Even though this is written as book 0.5 and Dirty as book 1, there is a little spoiler bringing in Elise and Luke briefly. I received a copy of this book and I leave my honest review.

Fun, flirty prequel

Prequels can be tricky, but R.L. Kenderson did a great job of incorporating the characters and plot without either story feeling redundant.
Sean and Rachel had a chemistry from their first meet at school. However it took a little time for each of them to come to terms with it. I thought the story was fun and loved how their relationship built inspite of the twist and turns to their HEA. It was fun to see Elise and Luke from Dirty before they were a couple.

Rachel and Sean, another couple in the group first met in Dirty are fun. They have known each other Romantically longer than Luke and Elise but had a four year separation before reuniting.
The author writes wonderful dialogue with her couples. Her storylines are not only engaging, they are sensuous. Her characters are multi-dimensional and fun to follow along and root for.
I hop she continues this series. Of course I'll continue to read anything she writes.

So I'm very new to R.L. Kenderson but find myself devouring everything I can find. This is a standalone but also part of a series you will meet characters from future stories. R.L. really writes with heart and heat and comedy. This is Rachel and Sean's story and I love them! We see that yes they love each other but not everything is perfect. I love that we meet Luke and Eliese too. I am happy that I get my HEA and it's done in a way I never saw coming. As I said, I read them out of order but it won't matter...it'll make you want to read them all.
