When your past finally catches up with you, you better hope someone is there to break your fall.
Garrett Stone doesn't mind being on bottom, but rock bottom has never been his favorite position. His world turned upside down, he struggles to get his bearings. Now that his dream is destroyed, what direction should he go? His heart is too damaged for love--and besides, how can he find THE ONE when he can't even find himself?
Dr. Anjuli Raina promised herself she'd never date a client. But Garrett isn’t technically a client, and f*cking isn't dating--right? Garrett is too young, too scarred...too much like work. But that mantra she gives clients keeps ringing in her ear: We don’t get to choose who we love.

The Navigator is A Mountains Trilogy novel by Phoebe Alexander. I loved the Mountains Wanted Trilogy- that series of books are one of my favourites by Ms. Alexander, so when I saw she had written another book as part of that series, I knew that I just had to read it. But I wasn’t sure how this story would fit in to the series and if there would be any connections between them, and because it has been a few years since I had read Mountains Wanted- I decided that this would be a great time to revisit those books before diving into this one! So, here I am, 5 books later- and I have to say that I still love those books so much and I am really glad that I reread the other 4 books before starting this one. But, you really don’t have to have read the other books to really enjoy this one- you could just read it as a standalone without feeling like something is missing (although you would be missing out on some really great books). This story touches and explores so many elements- each one on its own could be interesting- but combined into such a wonderful story- well, it’s like crack for a romance addict. The book is so much more than I thought it would be. The blurb is good, but it really doesn’t convey just how compelling the story is, or how heartfelt, meaningful and emotional this experience is. I mean, she had me at bearded man and Mountains Trilogy- but add in bisexual romance, Indian Heroine, interracial romance, older woman/younger man, and more- still doesn’t even begin to convey how much this story will imprint itself in your heart and mind. Not to mention the sizzle factor is off the charts! The story flows well and has a great pace. I read it in one sitting. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Alexander does next!
Great story lines and characters, Awesome !! Loved this boxset. The storylines were so interesting that it had me turning pages in anticipation of where it would lead . I was very intrigued with the characters in the stories. Simply awesome . Definitely recommend this boxset to anyone looking for great reads. I would recommend to others. Worth the read and the money!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was given an advanced readers copy and I am voluntarily leaving my review. We met Garrett in the Mountain trilogy and I'm so glad he got a book. I love Garrett and Anjulli. This is a MUST read and ONE-CLICK NOW.
This was an outstanding five star novel from Phoebe Alexander. I have really fallen in love with her novels this past year and I can’t get enough of them. I have not read one book by her that I wouldn’t adore to own and reread over and over again. This one does not disappoint at all either. From the drool worthy cover to the intense and passionate story between the covers and the love that went into to it, it culminated into a beautiful woven love story.
Phoebe writes strong and bold novels, often embracing things that the average Joe wouldn’t normally admit enjoying but do. I love how she is able to bring the taboo into the not so taboo world by telling the realistic stories that develop in these situations. The Navigator is not different and does not disappoint for one moment.
Garrett Stone has had his world torn out from underneath him. His dreams and goals are all torn to pieces and he is merely trying to figure out how to go about picking up the pieces of his shattered life and rebuilding a new one. He never planned on finding someone to love. He thought his heart was far too damaged to be capable of feeling that kind of connection with a person again. Then He meets Anjuli. Anjuli has her own shattered past and demons. Both are attracted to each other and only give into the physical need that develops between them, nothing more. Well life sure has a way of throwing monkey-wrenches in our best laid plans. Will the feelings that develop send the two running in opposite directions or find them learning how to love all over again and how to lean on someone else.
I was so invested in Garrett from the get go of this novel. I never expected that I would become as equally invested in Anjuli or find myself as invested in the outcome of their story as much as I did. I wanted Garrett to get a chance to find himself, to heal, and to find that he was capable of deserving the best life has to offer. What I found myself getting was a trip on a roller coaster of emotions for both Garrett and Anjuli that had me crying at the lows and screaming with the highs. I loved this novel and I can’t wait to get my hands on another Phoebe Alexander novel as soon as I possibly can!
I was not sure what to expect when I started this book and I didnt really care because hey, its Phoebe Alexander so if her name is on it..I read it :)
I will say that I was blown away..a storyline like I've never read, it wasn't all wine roses and cupcakes and the characters weren't rich and perfect. I fell in right at the beginning and was hooked, so much so that real life and adulting didn't enter my mind while reading. I'll be honest I don't normally read anything m/m, f/f, or much m/m/f but the way this author handled it all in this story just felt natural, like nothing was at all different, feelings are feelings and I walked away from this book in awe!
There was a lot going on, and my feelings towards Nav completely confused me at first...I kept asking myself, Is this a good guy or am I going to totally hate the main character of this book...Well as it turned out I absolutely loved him, he is probably the most broken main character I've ever read about and my heart hurt for him, and some of the decisions he made were not the best and I had a few SMH moments with him. Then there was Anjuli, again when I first met her I was thinking hmmm..am I going to like her, well yes I also fell in love with her and although not quite as broken as Nav she still had issues she dealt with as well.
As I said, there is alot going on in this story, but I got so invested in it so early on that I never lost track, I couldn't put it down and the addition of some of the players that came into the story just added that much more for me. I'm not going to go into anything about this storyline..it needs to be gone into blindly like I did it…
This author is an auto one click for me, she is beyond amazing and this might just be my favorite by her so far, I highly recommend for anyone over 18 and also highly recommend you have a fan blowing on you at all times because there are some scenes where you will need that blowing on extra high!! :)
The Navigator: A Mountains Trilogy Novel By: Phoebe Alexander 5 out of 5 stars
The story The Navigator: A Mountains Trilogy Novel by Phoebe Alexander is a wonderful romance book. It quickly drew me in and I found myself lost in the story and not wanting to put it down until I had finished. The characters of Garrett Stone and Dr. Anjuli Raina is one of the reasons that I enjoyed the book so much. Garrett is a man that had his life torn apart just when he was so close to realizing his goals. He is now a man that is trying to pick up the pieces. It is then when he meets Anjuli. Anjuli is a woman that like to help others and has a job where she can be compassionate and help guide others. She was not looking for a relationship, just a way to have fun and release tension. When she meets Garrett she believes that is what she has found. No strings work for them. I liked Anjuli because she has an open mind and curious about situations that sometimes others have a hard time dealing with or accepting. As these two start to spend more time together Anjuli begins to suspect that there is more going on with Garrett than he is saying. Garrett may be confident in the bedroom, however, there are also times when he has self-doubts. These two may have started out casual however what will happen when they start to have feelings for each other and those feelings only grow stronger. Will they take a chance and move forward into a relationship or will they pull away from each other? Read this book to find out if Garrett and Anjuli find happiness together. I found this to be a well-written story that has amazing characters. It can be read as part of a series or as a standalone. Either way, it is a story that you don’t want to miss out on.
The writing is well done. It flows. It's detailed and paints a picture that you can "see". The actions of the characters are real possibilities. I did not recognize any grammatical or editing issues. There were things that happened that I was not expecting (aside from the genre warning).
This book shows a man who's world is turned upside down with a bad choice. That one choice affects him in a way that he could not have anticipated. Garrett handles his situations by trying to drown himself in sex and alcohol. Of course, neither works. His choices were depressing, but his revelations were hopeful.
I liked Dr. Anjuli Raina. She was strong despite the hurts she had to endure through life. I liked her willingness to not give up hope on someone she didn't really know. Her own life struggles helped deepen the story. I liked some of the supporting characters and hated others. These characters are used to address things like bisexuality, polyamorous relationships, PTSD, alcoholism, sexual misconduct in the workplace, and family traditions to name a few.
I finished this book, but there was some skimming involved. This is a book for ages 18+. This book has mm, mf, mfm situations. There are scenes (lots of them) that will make a grown man blush while possibly causing you to shift in your seat.
I had a hard time rating this book because-Confession: Had I paid closer attention to this book's genre, I would not have read this book. I think the author is a strong writer and told a whopper of a story. It just wasn't for me. I recommend this book for those who are interested in the topics listed above. 3.5-4 stars
I received a free copy of this book from BookSprout. My review is my own opinion given freely.
The Navigator: A Mountains Trilogy Novel by Phoebe Alexander was an epic emotional rollercoaster that had me engrossed form start tom finish.
Wow, if I could leave my review at that, I would. Sometimes you don't need a lot of words, and for this book. But I'm going to tell you somethings as to why the only word in my head right now after reading this outstanding book, is wow.
First of all I would like to point out that Phoebe Alexander is fast becoming a fav or mine. Her writing is always so real, and connecting. I like these story lines she creates that not only deal with most the romance, they deal with the actually characters, there ups downs and real life adult situations. These characters could be your neighbour, they're so realistic. This book embodies all what I have just said and more. I can't even really put into words what I'm feeling, this book had that much of a impact .. I'm completely lost for words.
What I can convey, is that this book is a gut punch. Our MC's will have you question them, rooting for them and have you wishing you could be their for them. This book is much more then a story, it's a journey. I highly recommend you get this book, so you can experience that journey with them.
I don't know what else to say, sure, I can touch on the overall aesthetics, writing style, grammar and what not, but, because of the why this book traps you, you are unaware of anything else. The easy word flow and pacing placing put you a trance to were you feel like you're living the life with the characters. That in itself is magic.. pure literary magic.
MY ROCKY ROAD JUST HIT A NEW BUMP!!! Wow! Talk about kicking a dog while he's down. This is one page turning bombshell that hits a whole new level of its own. Dramatic, deep, fear, heartache and gut wretching are only a tid bit of depth and emotional trauma you'll experience. A word of caution my friends, if you have problems with depression I'd suggest you not read this show stopper. Phoebe writes with such passion it just makes things that much deeper. I'm not sure where she gets her inspiration but she shows just how strong a person is with the strength of a giant. The characters are well developed and believable as we follow along with them on their journey. Their personalities are unique, complex, spicy and so realistic it adds flavor to the mix. The characters show the strength it takes to keep getting up and trying to find a place they belong. The scenes are vividly detailed and descriptive it paints an intense and bold backdrop that can literally bring you to your knees. All the twists and turns and unexpected surprises just keeps going and you wonder how they can hold themselves in one piece. Phoebe brings this read to life flawlessly and perfectly balanced. She is truly one amazing author to bring everything she has and more that it takes on life of its own. She has such immense talent that she pulls you into her imagination and creates a world so real until everything else ceases to exist. With her talent, imagination, insight and a keen sense for detail she shows us only a portion of her gifts to hit hard and fly high. Phenomenal job Phoebe, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.
Book Review: The Navigator Author: Phoebe Alexander FIVE STARS This book is a Mountains Trilogy Novel. Garret is a spin-off character from the Mountains Wanted Trilogy and he now has his own story. The Navigator can be read as a stand alone as there are really no ties to any of the Mountains Wanted books mentioned except for a few flash backs with Sarah. We get to know Garrett and what he has gone through in his life that has caused him to feel the way he does about himself and about his life. There are some very deep aspects to Garrett that we never saw in the Mountains Wanted series. This is very important to know to get to know the true Garrett. Anjuli is a psychologist and a single mom who has sent her daughter off to college and now doesnt know what to do with her free time. She has recently been cast as a lead in the production Chicago in the towns community theatre. After a run in at the liquor store, Anjuli invites Garrett to a get-together at her home, this is just the beginning folks. Hold on for an up and down roller coaster ride of emotions. Ms. Alexander writes sensual and sexy erotic novels and this one is no different. You have your M/M your M/F and even a very steamy and well written M/M/F scene. There are so many aspects to a Phoebe Alexander book that you want to read and read and read until you run out of words on the pages, and then you still want more. FIVE amazing stars for this book. Thank you Ms. Alexander for giving us Garrett's story. Kelli Harper
They say when one door closes another one opens. That is the case with Garrett. Studying for his PhD he makes the mistake with a one night fling with one of his students. Even though it was consensual she brings him up on charges and he loses his position at the university as well as his chance to finish his degree. But if it wasn't for that he never would have met Juli. Their chemistry was off the charts. She was 10 years older than him but it never was an issue. Garrett's upbringing wasn't the greatest and he never felt loved or cared for. His step father was always putting him down and mentally and emotionally abused him. His own biological father left him and his mother when Garrett was 3 years old. So to say he has some issues would be putting it mildly. Plus the nightmares he continues to have. When he meets Juli she shows him what it is to love. Together they find in each other what they never found in anyone else. Going from an open relationship to realizing you only want to be with each other.
This was the first book I have ever read by Phoebe Alexander. I like how she builds her characters and writes entertaining stories. I love how she wrote the struggles that Garrett went through and how he persevered and never gave up. He had many obstacles to overcome but with the help of Juli and Chase he was able to find his lot in life. He was able to face his demons and make a new life for himself.
I just love Phoebe Alexander stories! I always leave her stories with a wicked smile, loads of love knowledge and a wanting for more! This is Garrett Stone’s story from The Mountain’s Trilogy, who Sarah and James McAllister are the main characters. I haven’t read their story, but have met a piece of them in two other books, I’m planning on meeting them from the beginning real soon. Anyways to get back to Garrett, the Navigator, oh boy is he delish, and one hell of a risk taker. Taking risks that turn his world upside down. One thing I love is a hottie who needs a shoulder to cry on, and don’t take that the wrong way, he is not a softy, he’s all tough on the inside and warm and milky on the inside! Then there is Anjuli, oh how I love her! She’s extremely smart, tough and beautiful! Raising a daughter all by herself and at the same time making an amazing career for herself. I love the strong women Phoebe always shares in her stories. Beautiful women we can all relate to. I really loved this story, getting to know these characters, laughing, crying and sharing all their greatest and least greatest moments. If you are a reader who loves, major romance, beyond swooning, with a little suspense and mystery that will keep you guessing, this is for you! I always love snuggling up with Phoebe’s stories, I get lost in such a lovingly sexy world! I can’t wait to read the next!
Garrett is a man whose past has a stronghold on him that he can't seem to escape, and he's hurting from it. Unable to commit to any sort of real relationship and constantly finding pitfalls at every turn, he meets Anjuli.
Anjuli is in the midst of having fun with her life, of dating and learning to express her wants and needs. She's strong and assertive, at least on the outside. When these two meet, there's chemistry, but it might not be enough. Especially when the words "no strings attached" are uttered.
Their relationship, as breezy as it's labeled, isn't without its hardships. Garrett drinks to forget the pain of the past and his drinking is reeking havoc on his professional and personal life, nothing ends well for him. There's one thing for sure, he's absolutely enamored with Anjuli, she's beautiful, no matter the age difference between the two.
There were moments in The Navigator that I wanted to reach out and smack Garrett because I know that hole he is in all too well. Then there were moments that were endearing and sweet, and then downright *hot*. Especially when Alexander introduces a new roommate for Garrett, Chase. While part of a series, The Navigator is a complete standalone, and it's a book that fans do not want to miss.
I just finished reading The Navigator by Phoebe Alexander. It is the fourth book in the Mountains Wanted series.
It is the story of Garrett and Anjuli. Garrett is working on his PhD and feels like life in finally going his way then his world comes crashing down and that sets him off on a downward spiral, then he bumps into Anjuli. Anjuli is a psychologist who has a grown daughter she raised alone and a career working with soldiers coming home from war. This paths cross again when Garrett runs into Anjuli at the theater he just started working at and that Anjuli is performing in their upcoming production. Anjuli is at a point where she is ready to spread her wings and doing something for herself while Garrett is in a downward spiral trying to figure out where he wants to go next while also dealing with the demons of his past.
I did enjoy this book, it started a little slow for me but it quickly picked up and made it worth it to stick with it. I loved Anjuli, and the fact that she was an older woman falling in love with a younger man (there is about a 10 year age difference between them). I highly recommend this book. It is not necessary to read the previous books in this series but if you do enjoy this it is definitely worth picking up the others in this series.
a great read about different paths. Garrett Stone has always wanted to be a professor at a university. but when unexpected circumstances throw him off course, he finds new friends and new jobs and soon discovers that life can be unexpected. wiill Garrett run in fear of change or try a new way of life? a great read. well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn't put down. well developed characters like Aujuli as a caring mother but also standing up for herself or Garrett trying to cope in new situations. a great cast of friends like Chase adding light and humour the book needed.. i loved the visual detail throughout the novel like the busy nature of the stage or in tiny things like bookcases or the necklace. or the pictures on Aujulis wall which were beautiful and full of emotion. i loved the use of simple settings which added to the every day feel of the novel and all its struggles. I also adored the respect towards culture and sexuality throughout the novel which was beautifully written. the use of different perspectives worked well to portray both sides of it all and were easy to follow. the only issue I would raise is sometimes it was hard to follow the time frame of the narrative. Overall a great read and I would give it four stars.
The Navigator: A Mountains Trilogy Novel By Phoebe Alexander 5 stars
I always know that when I pick a book up by Phoebe Alexander I am going to be in for a good read, I have read a few books by her now and I am always in awe of the amazing characters that she creates and how real they feel. Again this book was no exception, I was hooked straight away into Garrett’s (Nav’s) story, I had a feeling it was going to be a little emotional! I will say I am not a fan of m/m books so I did skim over those parts but I knew how much I wanted those books and if I know Phoebe’s writing those scenes will have been excellently written. Oh Nav! You completely stole my heart! Never before has a character affected me so much – he made me laugh, cry and also made me a little frustrated at time but underneath that poor broken outer-shell was the kindest, nicest person ever. I really do have to say that this book is really written well, everything about it is just fantastic, from the characters, to the storyline. I never wanted it to end and I absolutely could not put it down! Although part of the Mountains Trilogy, it is a spin off and therefore it can be read as a standalone. Another outstanding 5 star read from Phoebe Alexander – I can’t wait to see what is next from her!!
Every time Garrett feels like he is on the right path something happens and he is knocked down again. When a student turns him in after having a consensual relationship with him he loses his job and his placement in a program he was in. Turning to a friend he la.nds a maintenance job at a theatre but its still not enough to pay his bills. He looks for a room mate and finds a friend in Chase his new room mate. He literarily runs into Juli at the door of the liquor store never thinking that she would change his life. Just when he comes to terms with his life he gets yet another surprise when his half sister Lily shows up asking him for help finding their brother Jackson. Will Garrett find his way to what he wants and needs in his life? Will Juli be the one to help him finally settle down?
This is an emotional story about a man that keeps getting knocked down but refuses to stay down. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts hot. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. Amazing plot and characters. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to any of my book friends.
The Navigator: A Mountains Trilogy Novel Written by Phoebe Alexander 4 Stars
“He’d been let go, passed over, and abandoned his whole life. Why should now be any different?”
As always when I read Phoebe’s books I get pulled into the characters world. I feel like I am a part of the story not just reading it.
“If anyone he knew had seen where he came from—what he had been through—they would never look at him the same way again.”
This book takes you through self discovery, rising about your circumstances, facing new beginnings, struggles, forgiveness, survival, forgiveness, friendship and experimenting.
“How could he find The One when he couldn’t even find himself?”
Sometimes when you aren’t looking for that missing piece it actually sneaks up and finds you. People come in and out of your life to teach you different lessons. Some stay physically and some stay in your memory or soul. They all play a role that has you evaluate new people and decisions you will be faced with. This book had me wondering if I would have the strength and courage to move forward or would I let my circumstances win.
The Navigator is heart wrenching. To know someone like Garrett, someone so lost and completely out of hope, is heart wrenching. Alexander does a fantastic job of creating this character so that the reader can feel his pain and despair as well. I sure did!
Anjuli is the coolest name ever. This character is an older woman, 40’s, smart, dedicated and strong. I could relate to Anjuli as a woman and a mother. We women tend to do things because we must, simply because there is no one else to do it. This character is no different. Anjuli is strong and free and reading about her makes me smile and gives me hope.
Fate leads these two characters to meet. They literally bump into each other. Not cliché at all, actually, more sweet and innocent than cliché. What starts out as a “friends with benefits” situation turns into something more. With the twisting family dynamics and hot sex scenes this book is all that and a bag of chips! And can we add in there Garrett’s hot sexy roommate!
As with Alexander’s other books, The Navigator must be read with an open mind. Some situations aren’t for everyone, but man does she make them worth reading!
The Navigator was a great 5 star read and part of the Mountains Trilogy. Garrett (Nav) has a pretty messed up life and he turns to women, men and alcohol. Anjuli is a single mom who joined the theater for something to do, this is where she meets Nav.
I was pulled right in by Nav, he was a hot messed up ginger. He was so lost trying to figure things out. When he met Anjuli things took a good turn for him. Anjuli was great, she was curious about Nav and his sexuality and did some exploring of her own. Some of the scenes were mighty hot.
The more time they spend together the closer they become. Can these two actually have a future?
I really loved this story, there is so much more that will pull you right in. If you don’t mind M/M, M/F, M/M/F then you will really enjoy it. There are several hot and steamy scenes. Garrett has a heartbreaking memory from childhood that had me in tears. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I really like how everything came together in the end. The epilogue was great. I really look forward to reading more from this author.
Phoebe Alexander has done it again! This author is great at giving characters that are so easily relatable to and a story that just sucks you in from that first page. If you have read Mountains Triology books by Ms. Alexander, you are already familiar with Garrett. I was so happy to get some more of his character. I loved Anjuli’s character and what she brought to this story. This is definitely a page turner and can be read as a stand-alone. ~Helen
"Garrett grows up in a bad home situation. He then has various other bad things befall him. And despite that, he doesn’t give up.
He meets Anjuli and they begin a relationship with no strings. Their chemistry is off the charts but they have obstacles in that she is a different nationality, Indian, and she is ten years older than Garrett.
This was a good story and you couldn’t help but hope Garrett gets to have a good life after all the bad things he endures. It was nice to get the rest of his story since he was introduced in a previous book." ~Natalie
The Navigator, a mountains trilogy novel written by Phoebe Alexander was an amazing read. I wasn’t sure what to expect honestly, I read it based off of the assumption that the book would be amazing like others written by Phoebe Alexander. The Navigator did not disappoint. Garrett also know as nav (navigator) has had a rough past but the more you get into the story you realize how messed up everything is. This story is full of such erotic moments including m/f, m/m and m/m/f. Nav is a great character even though he has his issues eventually he asks for help and learns to trust people again. Anjuli was an interesting character with the way she process and adapts to the situation. I was pretty shocked by a few spots in the story and I don’t know how Garrett holds it together in a few spots with all the things going on in his life. Theirs is the mention of PTSD a lot in the story and how it applies to certain situations. Overall I loved the story and it’s uniqueness.
The Navigator:A Mountains Trilogy Novel by Phoebe Alexander is Garrett Stone’s story. This is the first book I have read in this series, but I have read quite a few of Ms. Alexander’s other books which I truly enjoyed. That being said, this book can be read as a stand alone, but I plan on going back to read the rest of the books in this series. Garrett is such a strong character, every time he thinks he is at rock bottom, something else happens, but he never gives up. This book is full of twists and turns, I just couldn’t put it down. My emotions were all over the place with this book. I just kept trusting that things would eventually work out like they were supposed to. This book will definitely not disappoint. I highly recommend this book and this author.
THE NAVIGATOR can be read as a stand-alone, yet It is part of The Mountain Trilogy.
There is a lot going on in this story. For much of the book, I just could not connect the dots on where it was all going.
Here is what I appreciated about the story: 1. No judgement about sexual orientation or "unconventional" relationships 2. The characters are not in their 20s 3. Multi-cultural 4. The epilogue
Things I did not like: 1. This felt like a couple of different characters stories were having their stories told and they didn't feel connected. 2. The secondary, family characters are downright confusing. 3. There are plot points that feel unfinished and just don't make sense.
I am going to go back and read the trilogy and if I feel differently after, I will update this review.
The Navigator is part of the Mountains trilogy by Phoebe Alexander. This is not my first read by this author, but this story is the first one that had me astounded. Let me just say that this story had a serious amount going on all at once. It started intensely and just evolved so quickly and eventfully, it left my head spinning. Dramatic does not even scratch the surface of explanation. Incredibly riveting and stimulating.
Garrett, Anjuli and crew were an eclectic group who came from very different walks of life but somehow came together powerfully. The just seemed to fit so well together, which was surprising, as they were so diverse. I reread a few chapters as reading the first time I could not quite grasp the all that the author was exhibiting. Ay times frustrating but enigmatic, The Navigator was a crafty entertainer. 4 stars.
I fell hard for Garrett and my heart broke at every bad turn his life took. Yes, he brought some of it on himself but you can't help but feel for the boy and the man who did what he had to survive and along the way, made mistakes that come back to haunt him and throw a monkey wrench into the life he had planned. But his story does not end there. When you allow others to see the real you, allow them to breach the walls you have erected around your heart, there will come a time that people will surprise you and care for you and be there when you need them. We have truly body positive and sex positive themes as well as some wonderfully steamy and emotional moments. Through pain, you CAN find your way back to beauty.
The Navigator: A Mountains Trilogy Novel By Phoebe Alexander is an incredible story about a man you can’t help but fall for a little. Garrett has has more than his fair share of life throwing him curveballs, and he’s just wondering if he’ll ever catch a break. The author is so good at writing in such details that it all plays out in your mind and you forget your actually reading. The characters are complex and believable and they have a chemistry that just jumps off the pages. While I did read this as a complete standalone with no problem or confusion I’m excited to read more of these books because the author just had me hooked. This book definitely has some very steamy parts so definitely recommended for the adult crowd. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it.
The Navigator by Phoebe Alexander is part of her The Mountains Trilogy series. This is a tale about finding your way back from the very bottom. Garrett and Anjuli are two people who shouldn’t be dating. He thinks of himself as too damaged to love, and too damaged to love someone else. She shouldn’t be dating her client. Period. But what they are doing can’t be classified as dating, surely? Except feelings are definitely involved, even if they both wish otherwise.
I found this to be a really emotional story. Finding it about Garrett and his story. The interaction between him and Anjuli is exactly what was needed. The writing sucked me in really help to add depth to the story. This isn’t the first book I have read by this author and it won’t be the last either.
The Navigator by Phoebe Alexander is A Mountains Trilogy Novel. This book had a lot going on. There was Garrett who has been through so much in his 32 years of life. I honestly don’t know how he wakes up every morning and lives his life. He has a lot of issues. I believe Chase and Anjuli played a very important part in this book. Garrett is been running from his demons for the past 16 years or so. Unfortunately, you can’t run forever. When his secret is finally revealed, will he lose everything he never really knew he had or will it help him overcome his past? The book had great characters that I’m sure will end up having their own books one day. I just want to say, I absolutely love how Garrett got his nickname “Nav” haha.
The Navigator by Phoebe Alexander is an amazing addition to the Mountains Trilogy. I absolutely adore Phoebe Alexander and everything that she writes. She’s always been bold and BOLD, and let’s just say that she doesn’t hold back with The Navigator.
Something has to be said about an individual that is lost but is willing to try and find himself. That’s exactly what we get with Garrett Stone. He’s hit the worst moment in his life. Fortunately for the readers, he meets Dr. Anjuli Raina. I loved everything about these characters. Loved how they started, their journey and where it led them to.
I love reading this author. She has a way of creating a world and ensnaring the reader with her words. I love the character development.
