“I’m afraid the next part is going to be almost impossible.”
These words haunt Aurora as she journeys towards the Elysium compound with her friends.
Rescuing a group of captives gives them a spark of hope, and they discover information that could alter their chances of success. All they need to do is find the rebel group hiding in the fallen city of Elysium - and hope they’re willing to help them reveal the truth.
With their help, the odds of finishing what they started might just tip in their favor. But one mistake and they could end up dead, imprisoned, or worse… become Mr. Bolton's slaves.

I always get a bit wistful when I come to the end of a series that I've thoroughly enjoyed. Through four books, I've followed right along as Aurora, Fletcher, Braven, and the rest of their ragtag bunch of friends try to save what's left of humanity.
Aurora's come such a long way from the naive girl who lived in luxury in the floating cities, and it's been a joy taking this journey with her as she discovered her destiny, reunited with her long-lost brother (Seth's turnaround since his introduction was phenomenal), and fell in love with the guy who's had her back since the beginning.
For those of you who love action, thrills and a dystopian setting, this is a series you will thoroughly enjoy.
Aurora continues forward with one goal in mind...to find the computer that will read her pendant and reveal the truth about the floating cities and old earth. What an adventure this has been! Reading the last book of this series has made me a bit sad. Don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed this series and has been well worth my time reading it. And that is just it. I feel that this cast of characters have become my friends. I have traveled with them through thick and thin rooting for them all the way. I was there with them through all the surprises and twists and turns. Was sad when someone got hurt or died. Rejoiced when they realized some small victories and big ones too. Ms Higgins has done a wonderful job writing this dystopian series, one that I may revisit from time to time when nostalgia hits me. I highly recommend reading this book for all lovers of the dystopian genre.
While I'm sad that the series has come to an end, I have certainly loved the journey. The characters have grown so much during the series and I especially enjoyed the development of the relationship between Aurora and her brother. A very fitting end to a wonderful series!
The end of a great series is always a bitter sweet moment. A real roller coaster of a journey. It was easy to forget that the main character was only 16, nearly 17. She certainly showed a greater depth of character and maturity than someone much older. I think this is a book , and indeed series, for all ages. Tension excitement, twists in the plot with a sprinkling of passion and family friction all added to the mix to make it a first class adventure.
The only thing I could have asked for was an epilogue a few years out.otherwise tgis ended well. Some bitter and definitely sweet. Loved the characters and their growth and how the story progressed. The events were "real" and definitely in the realm of possibilities. Very well done and a story worth reading from beginning to end
This is the book the wraps everything up and while the adventure itself is interesting, it really needed some strong editing.
I thought the dialogue was even more predictable or forced, which made me skim quite a bit. I think if the series went through more edits and it was republished, it could be a great series.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
An epic conclusion to a brilliant story. Amazing characters, wonderful world building, that thrilling and chilling dystopian element, as well as an addicting plot that makes you keep reading, this is definitely a must for dystopian fans. I must say that Ms Higgins has a natural talent with writing these types of stories; she has a wonderful storytelling voice and weaves amazing tales.
Wow sad that the Secrets of Aurora series has finished. Got to know Aurora and her friends and thoroughly enjoyed the series. Highly recommended. I am looking forward to reading any future writings from this talented author.
I have read all 4 books. I'm sad its over. I really loved reading this series. Like the others this book is very unpredictable and thrilling. Once I started I couldn't stop. The action in this one was great. Great ending. Definitely recommend this book well all 4 of them.
