Clean Billionaire Romance #4

Her Fake Billionaire Fiancé

Rate this book
She needs the money. He needs a fiancée. It's just business...too bad their hearts didn't get the memo.

When Alana Riley quit Julliard to care for her ailing father, she never imagined she’d be working minimum wage jobs and struggling to pay the mortgage. Her latest job is the temp secretary at Corday Enterprises—working for none other than the charismatic playboy, Steele Corday. With his reputation for loving and leaving, it’s no problem for Alana to keep him at arm’s length—until he makes her an offer she finds difficult to refuse.

Steele Corday deliberately tarnishes his reputation in the hopes of dashing his father’s plan to make him a senator. Only his father is two steps ahead—and he’s got just the thing to fix Steele’s reputation—a fake fiancée. In a bid to undermine his father, Steele makes a desperate deal with the cute new temp.

Everything’s going according to plan until the line between fake and real gets smudged.

Just couldn't finish it

This is just too stupid for words. Grown man. Billionaire. CEO of his family company. Terrorized, threatened, subjected to every whim, no matter how stupid (and they were pretty stupid), of his FATHER. Mugged, then while he is still in the hospital, is once again, beat up, by his father. Fake engagement, run for a Senate seat, all to please this father. Blackmailed, tricked, spied on....you know how it is. Guess we've all been there a few times.
Well, I haven't. Neither has anyone I have ever even HEARD of.
But, it just kept going. More and more far fetched, the longer it went. Finally, I just couldn't take the ridiculousness any longer, and at 70%, I closed it out and deleted the stupid thing.

I loved this book!
It is a wonderful, emotional & intense story.
Alana & Steele, had a chance meeting
her first day at her temp job. What she
didn't realize was, the man Alana had been flirting with, is her new boss.
Steele was instantly attracted to Alana
& her beautiful red hair.
Alana worked hard to care for her ailing father & to make sure the mortage
& medical bills were paid for.
Steele ran a large corporation.
He is being blackmailed into running
for Senate, by his manipulative
& evil father. Steele has done everything he's been demanded to, since he was seventeen. He had to make sure his mother, who had MS, is always taken care. And if he didn't obey, his father would call the police & have him
arrested, because of an unforeseen tragedy. Because of Steele's playboy reputation, he is expected to get engaged, for the election. Alana & Steele had become friends. He is expected to get engaged to someone his father picks.
But, he makes a deal with Alana. If she agrees, she would sign two contracts. Then she could pay off the house.
As Alana & Steele spend together,
the more their feelings for each other grow. Unfortunately, they didn't trust that the feelings are real. The emotions, & their chemistry pulled me in, & kept me hooked, till the end.
A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!!!

Her Fake Billionaire Fiance By Bree Livingston (4 ½ stars)

Ms. Livingson has become a favorite of mine! She writes wonderful, clean romances with characters who feel real, complete with flaws and issues.

Many romance novels portray the man as almost invincible, but I loved that Steele had weaknesses and frustrations. I haven't (thankfully) known many people who have been abused emotionally and manipulated by parents, but I think his resentment and helplessness were portrayed in a very believable way. I suspect that people who have lost freedom of choice from emotional abuse and manipulation feel helpless to change things.

I love Alana! She has foibles and weaknesses and she does most of the rescuing . She's real and sincere and kind (not to mention intelligent and talented)!

What a nice twist from the normal romance novel. This book felt more realistic than many in the genre. Let's face it: sometimes our men are the ones who need rescuing!

I really liked this story and how it progressed ...
Alana and Steele's story... Their chemistry was off the charts!....
they were flirty and liked each before either of them knew she was his new temp secretary, and then afterwards, they continued to carry on because they genuinely liked each other. Steele figured if he had to go along with his blackmailing father's scheme of a fake girlfriend with whom to propose to after a short courting period, he was at least going to do the picking of someone he liked.
When Steele proposed his plan Alana truly didn't want to be paid to date the boss she liked, but it was one way she could pay off her ailing father's house which she was just scraping by paying his mortgage each month. The lines began to blur quickly for both of them, but they had that blasted contract hanging over their heads. There was just something about Alana and Steele that drew me in from the beginning and I rooted for their happily ever after. was an awesome read..

ummmm.....no!

i just started reading this book like 10% in and I already lost my will to continue. Why make it a controlling father that hold something over a grown son's head? What!

then in comes the girl of the story and the reaction from this grown man is lukewarm, no instant lust, no must have the girl or else, and his best friend has to give him the idea to control the situation the father has him in.

no, no, no, no! it is the fake of the fake Billionaire Fiancé story. No chemistry at all.

I have to stop the bleeding, have many other books to read. not wasting another minute on this one.

A billionaire falls for his temporary secretary.

Enjoyed being with this author again. Steele and Alana story was a love waiting to happen. It just had a little help from Steele . His evil dad also had his claws in for political purposes. But as Steele and Alana were together the love bug hit. But Steele dad still tried to dictate Steele life. Oliver Alana dad became the dad Steele needed. Alana, Steele, Harriet ad Helena were able to turn the tables on Steele's dad. That brought peace to Alana and Steele so they could move on with their happily ever after. Her music on the violin was only for him. Will read more by this author.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED DRAMA AND ROMANCE. THE BEST YET!!

Hard to believe but with each new story written by this author, the stories keep getting better and more intense Imagine being a man and being blackmailed most of your life and by your own father. No, I am not giving away secrets about this story, that secret is out right from the very beginning. The storyline and dialog is what makes this story great. This story is so intense the reader won't be able to but the book down until the very end.

If I could I would give you 10 stars!!!!!!

Your writing is fantastic!! You include love, drama, suspense and humor in such a way your stories are hard to put down long enough to fix a sandwich. I have read all of your billionaire love stories and I am going to search for anything else you have written. Thank you, Bree Livingston for filling many, many of my retirement hours with the work of your mind.
My. Wife told I had to sign my name as this comes out from her kindle.
Bless your beautiful mind!!!

Nothing Is the Way It Looks

Mitchell wanted a Senate seat, but he couldn't win an election because nobody trusted him.
Steele doesn't want to run for the Senate, but Mitchell, his father, blackmails him into it.
Steele is attracted to Alana, but Mitchell poisons their chance at a relationship.
Livingston draws a powerful story of real love and twisted hatred where love should be. Because this is a romance,,we know they will find a way but how?
Recommended for readers of complex love stories.

Just when i thought he'd never be free

Agh! I didn't see how this book could end happily. My stomach was in knots with the lack of freedom to live and impossibility of ever escaping. Lots of twists. Clean. I didn't really like the mcs at the beginning of the book and i debated about whether or not to keep going. I can't put my finger on why. But it just got better and better. I'm glad i kept reading. I laughed. I cried. I ended up really loving the mcs.

I had a free copy of this book, but this is my honest and voluntary opinion. Alana Riley is forced to quit Julliard to care for her father. She takes a temporary job as a secretary to billionaire Steel Corday. His father is forcing him to run for the senate, and is hiring someone to be his fake fiancé. Steel Chooses Alana and she interviews and is hired. The plot includes a controlling father, growing love, and looking for a way to escape. An interesting and heartwarming story. A must read.

Terrible father!

I have never disliked a book character as much as I did Mitchell. Steele and Alana were the cutest and I was rooting for them the whole time to figure out that they loved each other. At the same time getting outraged at every despicable thing Steele’s father did. So glad they had their HEA and I really appreciate the epilogues that jump ahead and time and give a glimpse of what happens after the HEA.

Steele’s terrible father had tables turned against him when he tried to get his image cleaned up by forcing him to have a fake relationship. Alana is sweet, loving, gracious and kind. The very tool his father tried to use to control him was Steele’s salvation to get out of the clutches of a terrible dad. He was blackmailing him with false accusations and he was forever forced to act on his every whim, through Alana, he was given his freedom and his happily ever after.

Alana took over a temp job as secretary to Steele the CEO of his family's company. They meet on the elevator her first day and he is taken by her. His dad Mitchell wants him to run for Senator and both Steele and his dad separately hire her to be his fake fiance'...and so the fun begins! Alana is a lot smarter than she looks and tries to free Steele from his father's clutches. Enjoy this sweet read about Alana and Steele!

What, no sex before marriage?

Many modern (and some not so modern) authors seem to feel the necessity to make a book hot and steamy in order to make it interesting. A good love story should stand on its own merits. This book was interesting on its own and the reader is involved as the two main characters find love. Recommended

Title Please

I do not know where writers come up with these titles. Give your book a name! Then put in the name of the book that is on most titles.

Rant over. Fast, fun read. Plot was typical but the storyline was unique. Enjoyed the read. First time reading this author. Good job.

Her Fake Billionaire Fiancé

Alana has been hired as a temp secretary for Steele. She has no desire to get to know the playboy boss. She only wants to do her job. Steele has a manipulative dad who forces him into a relationship to clean up his image so he can win a senate seat. What happens when the manipulation goes too far? This is a great read.

Her Fake Millionaire Finance

A shattered billionaire, a talented violinist, a hateful father and of course it's a story for romance. The story pretty much moves at a fast pace but again the proof Reading falls short, leaving the reader to mentally delete unwanted words or letters. It's distracting but won't keep me from the next book in the series.

Torchard

A son and daughter's love. These two where making sacrifices for family, but Steel went through the worst sacrifice. The saying goes, "where one is weak the other is strong".

Reading this story many may feel Steel was a weak man, unfortunately, that was the environment he was raised in.

I love Steele and Alana's story. Steele is a billionaire, stuck under his controlling father's thumb. Alana gets a temp job and is hired as Steele's assistant. When his father comes up with a plan to force Steele to fake a girlfriend and then fiancé to improve his bad boy image, Steele makes a side deal with Alana to have a win-win situation for them both.

Fake fiancée

She says what she thinks, often without a filter which means a new temp job is now in her future. When the most gorgeous man she's ever laid eyes on steps on the elevator, her life is changed forever. Her unfiltered mouth could be a blessing or a curse.

Frustratingly Awesome

What another great read. The pain you feel with the father...my goodness. You want to jump through the book and get rid of him yourself. But then the love that is given, all you do is sigh with happiness. Loved it

Super cute, but very repetitive. It felt like every second sentence they were reminding themselves that their relationship wasn’t real. I understand that was a major setback for them, but it got old real fast for me. I still really liked the characters and story though.

Absolutely amazing!!

This is my favorite Bree Livingston book, though I haven't read all of her work yet. Steele said Alana feel so real like I was watching two of my friends fall in love, and they're so adorable.

WOW!!!!!!!

This is a really, really good book. Alana and Steele make a really great couple. She is so tender hearted and Steele is in such a bad way. Alana stays true to her nature and poor Steele he is so wishy-washy. But love wins!!!!
