When I heard the alarm, I knew she was gone. The fear of losing my job is nothing like the fear of what could happen to the woman who is slowly working her way past my wall. For the first time in my life I can see how bent I am. Reed was nothing like the monster that I had expected would now own me. Just as I'm starting to trust him I discover something I could never imagine. As he chips away at me I wonder how we will end? I’m so scared that all the pieces won’t get put back together. Will we ever be whole or are we destined to be forever bent?
Bent is book Two of The Owned Series. It ends on a cliffhanger which will be answered in book 3. Don't let this deter you. This is one book you won't want to put down!
We pick up with Reed and Hannah right where Bought left off. The continuing story of these two was fast paced but not rushed, with streaming hot chemistry and shows just the right amount of vulnerability from both characters. While so many stories seem to follow a predictable pattern, I was genuinely surprised that this story took the path less traveled. The twists, turns and surprises that are littered throughout the story make me not want to wait to see where this series will end. Yet another fantastic story even if I was ready to chuck my kindle across the room at least once, okay maybe twice.
Reed and Hannah are two I can't get enough of. I thought to myself these two are going to explode off the pages and I was right. The twist and turns that I was taken on left me trying to catch my breath at the same time I'm sitting here thinking where is this author going. I think it's one way then he moves another. While I will say the chemistry is off the charts with these two. I'm so much more invested in the story and how is this going to end and also adding in l may need a new kindle because I threw mine across the room.😡😡😡😤😤😤😤
"Why would you do that for me?" "Honestly?" he asked, reaching across the table, placing his fingers under my chin, and raising my head until I was looking him in the eyes. "I did it because I don't ever want you to be afraid of what might happen...I wanted to protect you from him." 'Yeah, well who's going to protect my heart, from you.'
I was waiting anxiously for the continuation of the Owned Series and Derek Masters does not disappoint. Hannah has escaped Reed's grasp and she's running away from whom she believes is a monster. Reed is desperate to find her, desperate to keep her safe. Hannah quickly realizes that Reed is there to protect her, but there is a monster that lurks in her past. The one she's truly running from is hidden in her nightmares. Derek Masters does a wonderful job at making you guess at what's going to happen next. Hannah and Reed's relationship keeps building and without realizing it, they're slowly falling for each other. This is a definite must-read and a series that needs to be on your bookshelves!
What a thrilling continuation with Book 2 of The Owned Series! Mr. Masters has a very intriguing mind and always brings something new and different to every book he writes. It is one of the many things that draws me in to his books and leaves me wanting more. Bent is no exception. I was captivated by the story from page one and did not put the book down until I was finished. The storyline is extremely well-developed and does not miss a beat from book 1. The characters are strong, very likable and I have to be honest, Reed will make your heart just beat a little bit faster. Mr. Masters has thoroughly impressed me with Bent and I look forward to see what he brings us with the final book in The Owned Series! Thank you Derek Masters for bringing us another spectacular book! This is definitely worthy of 5-stars and more!!!
Even though I knew the chemistry between and Hannah and Reed was going to be off the chart. It's the story surrounding them that has me twisted in knots trying to figure out where this author is going. As the crumbs are splattered and I see the path , this author once again leaves me hanging on to wait for the final book.
First off..it’s kind of unclear but this is a series and must be read in order. All of the books are very short novella size books.
I read this book via audiobook. The narrator does this weird thing where every sentence ends with his voice going up almost as if each sentence is read as a question.
The story...where do I start? So girl graduates school. Her Dad wants to celebrate by taking her on a trip but then before they get on the airplane they’re picked up by guys that inform them her Dad has a gambling problem and either they can kill him or take her to sell. So naturally Dad gives her up so he can be set free and go gamble some more without saying goodbye. Meanwhile, hot cop that chases bad guys gets a list of women that are being sold and one girls name sounds familiar. He’s never met her before but because Las Vegas is such a small city he sees her all the time and knows a lot about her. The police won’t do anything to stop the auction. So hot cop goes in and buys her. Then he decides...she’s pretty hot and he’s already spent the money so he mind as well keep her for his own. Then heroine gives her entire life story to her capture day 2. She tells him about every bad boyfriend she’s ever had and he beats them up and takes pictures because why not.. then she finds the pictures and she’s terrified for her life and runs away but he catches her...and oh thank god he did cause really he’s saving her. But, he’s got a secret of his own. He’s a Dom looking for a sub and she would make a really good one. So like day 4 of being captured, sold in sex slavery, bought, escaped, captured again....heroine is TOTALLY into being blindfolded and flogged. Because duh. Who wouldn’t, right!?! 🤯🤯🤯

Bent The Owned Series, Book 2 By: Derek Masters Narrated by: Rodney Falcon
Derek Masters delivers another terrific book, this one picks up with “Bought” left off. Hannah had not liked what she saw so she fled, she soon realizes she made a mistake, is she better off dealing with the devil she knows or is there worst out there for her. She revealed that she had not had the best luck with men and while she feels safe with Reed she is not sure if she could trust her own judgment. Reed was frantic and was happy to find her safe and unharmed. In this book they both open up to each other. Reed explains his needs as a Dom, Hannah shares her interest and curiosity of BDSM. He is also a sadist but he won’t reveal that side to her. Drama continues in this book, Reed continues to look into things from her past and there are more twists and turns. I loved these two together, neither are perfect but they are perfect for each other. I am looking forward to what comes next as their story continues in the next book in the series, “Broken”. Thank you for another great story!
I listened to the Audible edition, narrated by the talented Rodney Falcon. He continues to bring these characters and their story to life. He does a great job capturing the characters emotions as well as the drama of the story. He is an entertaining storyteller and always a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen🎧
We pick up where Bought left us with Reed and Hannah. It is a seamless transition. Bent takes off running, There is no chance to catch your breath as the twists, turns, surprises and drama continue. The book is face paced, but it has everything I love in a story. Suspense, surprise, steam, romance and most of all a couple I cannot get enough of. I love how Reed just wanted to protect Hannah, but he is opening a part of him that he thought was locked forever. Hannah has had trust issues her whole life, and to see her grow with Reed, is the best part of the story.
Rodney Falcon always brings out the best of bad boy heros. Rodney's voice has a rougher edge to it, that really makes Reed come to life. Rodney's female voice is smooth and easy to follow who is speaking. Rodney's performance had me hanging on the edge of my seat. I cannot wait for the next book.
I couldn't start this book fast enough. I love that it started where the first book left off. *Warning, if you haven't read book one stop reading this review and go read it now* We start with Hannah trying to escape but soon realizing the truth about Reed. He isn't he monster she believed him to be. There are also secrets about him she is uncovering. I loved going along for the ride of her connecting more with Reed and their romance blooming. But they aren't safe. And things are still dangerous. This one also has a cliffhanger. I had to jump to book three right away. I am so invested in this couple and their story. This narrator does such a good job on both characters. I feel like his voice is their's.
This is the second book of the Owned Series and picks up right where the first ends. I love the story of Reed and Hannah. Their chemistry is amazing and makes you feel things as their feeling it. It's like you're right there in the book with them. There are so many twists and turns. When you think you know what's happening, in reality, you don't. Reed is such a great man, I love him. He's patient, kind, and caring. Hannah's stories from her past are heart breaking but shows you why she's the way she is. I can't get enough of their story. You can't go wrong with this book.
However it's one of those unnecessary series where the author is just dragging it out and I don't care for that. The first book was about her getting sold off and how Reed gets revenge on an old high school ex who abused her. This one was just about him getting revenge on another ex while teaching her the ways of Doms and Submissives. I'm sure the next one will be all about her daddy and the wrap up of their relationship way too predictable.
This story starts exactly at the ending of the first in the series and once again I was locked in from the opening lines. The reader now gets more information as to the baggage Reed and Hannah both bring from their pasts as well as an insight as to what can happen in their futures. Once again this was written so that you can feel all the emotions and only want a HEA for both characters. Bring on Book 3!!
The 2nd instalment in the Owned series we catch up with Reed & Hannah and find out the back story to these two people. Like Bought this book was a page turner that had me shouting out loud at the end. So can't wait for the 3rd book to know what happens to the main characters. Well worth the *5 Great job Mr Masters on keeping us readers panting for more.
Wow! After anxiously anticipating this second book in the series, I was clearly impressed! This starts off from where we left off with Hannah and Reed. Their chemistry is truly sizzling! While Hannah is unsure about Reed, there is a special connection between them. I can’t wait to read about what happens in the next book. This was a really enjoyable read!
Book two in the Owned series, Picks up where one leaves off, we get info about Hannah, after an ill fated escape attempt. She opens up, however Reed still holds to a secret past, but becomes a vigilante on her behalf. A slow but steady relationship is blooming and sparks are flying. Again Rodney does an excellent job bringing these characters to life.
Hannah and Reed are explosive together. This one picks up right where it left off, with Hannah running away. Reed finds her and together they learn more of Hannah's past. Things she has forgotten and things she kept to herself. I gotta say, I didn't expect her to have so much drama/heartache/horror. Narration was good and I can't wait to hear more. (Audiobook)
Just like any book by Derek Masters, I could not put it down. I have been waiting for Bent to come out and I am not disappointed, I need more Hannah and Reed, can't wait for the third book!
In this second book in the series, Hannah and Reed became much closer. They both have their own demons to overcome however. The plot is starting to take a deeper look into Hannah's past. Patiently waiting to see how this story unfolds.
I'm speechless I didn't see that coming but I do know I need more,I need the next book!!! I don't do spoilers so I can't tell you what my reaction to the events that play out are.....instead I will say dive in and be prepared for one hell of a ride.
Love the book. Love the bond that Hannah and Reed have, the trust. Even though Hannah tried to leave him, she knew that she was safe with him. Can't wait for book 3 to come out to see what happens next.
This quick story is really great. Loved the cliff hanger. Cannot wait to see where Hannah and reed go next. This was a fantastic story “slow burn” and watching the relationship just beginning to bloom is truly awesome.
LOVE THIS SERIES!!! Derek Masters is incredible. Bent picks up right where Bought ended. This storyline continues to amaze me. It's exceptionally well written. I love the chemistry between the characters. I can't wait to learn how this series ends. I absolutely love it.
I so into reading this exciting book with all the mystery and sex scenes and then it just ends. I want the rest of the story. I have to wait for the next book to see what happens to Hannah and Reed. I hope they get an HEA. This is an excellent story.
This book cook off right where the last one ended. I thought it was well written. I really enjoyed it. It had its ups and downs. Voice artist Rodney Falcon did a real good job on this book at speed 1.45x . He still needs a little bit more work on his female voices. But other then that I will continue listening to him. 4.5 stars story getting 5.
Really enjoyed this new to me author! 4 stars cause I feel like it took longer than necessary to get to root of the story and that was odd considering it seemed like a short book.
