The author gives the reader quite a fascinating mystery, humor, paranormal and suspenseful story that dealt with some witchery all in a urban setting fictional read. The plot and the characters along with all of the drama will keep you turning the pages to see what's coming next for Echo. There will be quite a twist with this story as the 'Black Girl Magic' is quite intriguingly used in this roller coaster journey. The author really uses her imagination in this story. WOW!
This book was definitely different from what I normally read. My first time reading a supernatural book and I must say it was really good along with the suspence. I refuse to put this book down until I finished reading. It had my attention from beginning to end. I was shocked by who was responsible for all the drama portrayed in the book and more shocked by Auntie Rosa's actions. Once again B.M. never disappoints and I'm looking forward to reading more of your work.

Magically Good!
I love BM Hardin's style of writing. She gives you the unexpected and makes it funny too. This book had humor, drama,suspense and mystery all in one. A good read!

A must read!
Another great read by B.M. Hardin. Murder, mystery, suspense and love all wrapped up into one book. Great storyline from the beginning to the end. No flaws.

This is not the typical book by this author. She usually doesn't dabble in any magic with characters or anything of the sort, but I was thoroughly entertained by this. I also found myself laughing at some of the dialogue and I actually was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who the killer was. Good book.

This was definitely a first reading a supernatural book and I really enjoyed it. That darn Echo was a handful and I really liked her character.

Loved it!
I was kind of skeptical about reading something from this genre (Raised in religious family) but there was NOTHING demonic, no horrible details of gore that would give you nightmares. Instead I found myself laughing out loud throughout most of the chapters. I loved the personality of the main character. B. M. Hardin has become one of my favorite authors, I've read do many books of hers and they're never disappointing.

Black Girl Magic!!!!
This book was a little different for a BM Hardin novel, but nevertheless, it was Awesome!!! Everytime I thought I had it figured out, BM would throw her famous curve ball through those pages and create several jaw dropping experiences.... Great Read as Always!!! Would love a part 2 to this...

This book had me in stitches laughing! I will admit that the synopsis had me a bit skeptical..... but over all I enjoyed it. Anytime a book can have me in tears and choking I'm game!
Echo was hilarious and I absolutely loved her sense of humor. I also love it whenever authors throw old characters into their books so hearing from Kemp, although briefly was also a plus. I wasn't thrown off by the whole "witch" thing because again.... the scenes were crazy funny. I just started reading B.M's books and I look forward to reading as she continues to master her craft.

Who did it
I really enjoyed this book. I couldn't put it down. I suspected everyone in the family. Auntie Rosa was my favorite. She wanted the best for her family, but she had so many secrets. I glad Echo finally found love. I hope there will be a part 2. Hint hint.

Another 5 star read
B.M Hardin did it again. I love how she tried something different and it still was a awesome read. I have to say through out the entire book I kept trying to figure out the killer and I never once thought unread who it was, I never seen that ending coming. That's one thing I love about B.M. Hardin's books, you never see the endings coming. Again great read and I would highly recommend it

What can I say
Thos book was great. Every new book I fall more in love with B.M. Hardin writing. Even though this book dealt with witches it was not ypur typical double double toil and trouble witch book. This book was funny and had so many oh no moments in it. But in typical B.m hardin fashion when you think you know, you have no idea. Read the book its definitely worth it.

Very different
This story is very unique. It reminded me of Bewitched the television show. Lots of twist and turns. There’s even a surprise appearance from Kemp. If you’re looking for a thriller, this will definitely keep you on edge.
The characters were well developed, the book was well edited. It gets five stars from me for being super different then anything I’ve read all year. The ending will definitely take you by surprise.

Wow!!
I didn’t know what to really expect from this book, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Modern day witches that wasn’t really happy with their powers. I didn’t expect that Echo’s mother would be alive and not want to have anything to do with her and the killer was not who I expected it to be. Great story.

Different read for me but a good one. This is one of those books that make you want to skip ahead to see what's really going on. Everytime I thought I had it figured out a new twist was there. The more you read the more interesting the plot became and yoy wanted to continue to read to see what the end would bring and was I surprised never seen that coming. Great read B. M. Hardin.

I couldn't even imagine what to expect in a book about black girl magic....Leave it to the amazing Ms Hardin to create such a wonderfully witty, suspenseful, romantically bewitching book. From the first few sentences, it was on! The kind of book that makes you forget all you need to be doing and just read. And that's exactly what I did. Well, there was one scene that had my heart beating so fast I had to stop for a few minutes to calm down. And now I'm sad that it's over. So well done. So creative. Ms Hardin, you have the gift! Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

A page turner!
Once Upon A Crime was nothing short of amazing! It was such a darn good book, it actually reminded of a movie. The storyline was great and unique. I loved how bold Echo was. She wasn't afraid to go after what she wanted. I was also excited to see a special appearance by one of my favorite characters. Always expect the unexpected from B.M. but never I'm never disappointed. A really great read, two thumbs up!!! Highly recommend

This is a story about a family of witches that uses spells to fix things or figure out things. It is a great story revolving around Echo who has a great job but was passed over for job she rightfully earned which was given to a man she detests but they have to work together. Her Aunt raised her after her mom died and she is very strong willed. What happens when someone is killing people and it hits too close to home but your powers are not revealing what you want making everyone suspect. Great twist and always drama.

Different yet still epic
I love this book as all the other books this author writes. She wrote with a new flavor yet, I enjoyed it none the less. It's still epic in my opinion.

Definitely Magical
Well as always Ms. Hardin took me for a ride. I can't lie at first when I heard about the book I was having mixed feelings. I was like a book about a witch, nah that ain't my cup of my tea. But, let me tell you I am so glad that I changed my mind. This book was nothing like I expected it to be. The suspense alone will keep you on the edge of your seat but at the same time there are parts that will have you falling out laughing. If you are looking for something good to read take a chance with this one. You will not be disappointed.
