She needs a Dom with heart. He sees the lifestyle as heartless.

Sage Lyndsey is in desperate need of an escape from the tragic loss of her mother and a too-public breakup with her Dom. Buying into Citrus Pointe’s bakery may be her best decision ever—a place to hide and heal. To do what she loves. But her ideal is broken when her new landlord’s dog steals her towel right in front of him. Now the hottest rock bassist ever, Hank Nash, has seen everything she has. Literally.

Even more shocking? That she’d like him to follow up with his very talented hands, bending her to his will.

Hank has enough trouble on his plate—his band is on the rocks and his muse is off the rails. Adding a spunky, sexy roommate is overload. Even worse, the urge to dominate Sage threatens his hard-won control. But he can’t give in. He’s seen what happens when dominance turns to abuse, and he won’t risk her, no matter how much she needs to submit.

Or how much he hungers to keep her.

She needs a Dom with heart. He sees the lifestyle as heartless.

Can a brave submissive show a rock star that accepting his true nature will be nirvana for both of them? Letting go with her may help him put the pieces of himself—and his band—back together again.

Struggling with the death of her mother, Sage Lyndsey turned to her Dom for comfort, but his impatience led to a humiliating scene in front of their club. Devastated, she runs to a small town on the Cali coast. Buying into Citrus Pointe’s bakery may be her best decision ever—if she can overcome the embarrassment of having her new landlord’s dog steal her towel right in front of him. It gets worse when she realizes he’s none other than rock bassist Hank Nash, and despite the problems it would cause, she wants nothing more than his talented hands on her, bending her to his will.

Hank is an ex-cop who knows all too well what dominance looks like when it turns to abuse—he saw the consequences on another cop’s wife. After turning the man in, Hank left that life behind to start a rock band, Weekend Washout. Now he’s fighting to keep the band together, and to deny his urge to dominate pretty, spunky Sage. But when Sage’s ex-Dom reappears, Hank is forced into a life-changing decision: Accept both their needs and gain more than one night with Sage, or retreat to the safe life he’s built so carefully?

Review:
“His name on her lips tightened every muscle in his body, pulled a growl of need to his lips that he forced back. Sage was small, delicate. Breakable. He wouldn’t be rough, but he was too far gone for distance. Definitely too far to consider stopping.”

5 more than one night stars!!! Down right dirty and sexy!!!

I don’t want to give too much away with this review. I will absolutely say that I loved Sage and Hank!! They are downright dirty and so hot together!!! I swear, there’s not enough words in the English dictionary to describe how hot these two are together!!!! I love Ella Sheridan’s book, but I have to say that this one is definitely one of my favorites from her!!!

If Only series book #2

Review Copy provided by the publisher

I have a handful or so of authors that write books that I consider comfort reads. I can typically rely on these books to bring me joy when I'm in a reading slump. They bring joy all the time actually. Ella Sheridan is one of those authors. She writes those books that bring me joy and are my comfort reads. Her books have all the ingredients that I love in romance novels. There's always a great plot, extremely likeable characters, witty banter, and seductively wicked love scenes! Perfect recipe!

I love the concept of a newbie Dom. Most books that are BDSM themed or have elements of BDSM, have experienced Dom's; they've been in the lifestyle for a number of years and are confident in there choices and abilities. Hank is anything but confident. Don't get me wrong, he's all alpha, hot, and sexy rock god! But he's always craved things that he suppresses. He thinks it's wrong to want this kind of relationship.

Sage is wrecked. Her last Dom destroyed her trust and her faith in ever wanting to live the lifestyle again. Trying to put her life back together in a new town isn't easy, but she's making a go of it. Her world is thrown off its axis when she meets, Hank. He makes her want to submit to a man again. Watching these two find their footing was incredible. It was refreshing to have a hero and heroine who had to learn to be something more. I loved that neither had any idea how to navigate the path that would lead to their happiness. Sage thinks she can suppress her need to submit, and Hank struggles to trust himself enough to dominate her. It was realistic in that they had to work together, open up and really talk about their feelings. Ms. Sheridan made these two really rip open old scabs and dig deep to find their happiness. She put them through the damn grinder! It was fantastic! I think anyone in a relationship can relate, maybe not to the BDSM stuff, but they could probably relate to treading murky waters with the person they love.

I really enjoyed the easy friendship that Hank and Sage formed. I think it was a solid foundation that they were ultimately able to build on. Everything unfolded so naturally. Nothing seemed forced. When these two took the leap and became lovers it was cataclysmic! All that budding sexual tension just exploded off of the page. From the first intimate encounter I could sense a real connection between them and a whole lot of respect for each other.

Hank doesn't have all the answers and he's not all that sure he can provide, Sage with everything she needs in a Dom. I think it was great that he humbled himself and turned to a friend, checked his reservations at the door, and asked for help. And this is where the realism comes into play again. In real life we sometimes have to ask for help, and sometimes it's hard, but you're a better person for it. And that's how it was for Hank.

Sage is stronger than she thinks she is! She's on this journey of self discovery. She digs deep and finds the beauty in her submission. I loved watching this hollowed out woman find her voice and the ability to be comfortable with her choices again.

There are so many reasons why this book worked for me. There are so many reasons why I loved it. But what makes me love it the most is that the hero and heroine are two perfectly imperfect human beings fumbling through this thing called love. It could be any one of us.

Ms. Sheridan writes characters that you can relate to and fall for so easily. Do yourself a favour and give this series a try. Who knows, maybe you'll find another comfort author to add to your list!

Sage has moved to a small town to start over, mourning the loss of her mother as well as forget about the humiliating scene she had with her previous Dom. Hank a bassist in a band but as an ex-cop knows the dangers of a dominant relationship. When Sage and Hank meet sparks fly and Hank’s desire to dominate come out. Can they work together to learn what it truly means to have a D/s type of relationship or will the past destroy any connection they may have. A great read. The story is amazing, so emotional and great characters. Loved it!

actual rating: 4.5 stars rounded down

tws: emotional manipulation, abuse mentioned, death of a loved one

it’s also erotica so if you’re uncomfy with the BDSM community and its terms or contents maybe don’t pick this one up lol

+1: characters - i fully was not expecting the characters to actually be well thought out for this. it’s my first experience reading like,,,published erotica and i was very pleasantly surprised here. everyone has their own motivations and lives, everyone comes with their own baggage that they have to overcome, it’s great.
+1: sex scenes didn’t feel awkward
+0.5: THE DOG oh my god i love him
+1: the resolution at the end??? conquering sage’s daemons??? abso-fucking-lutely, i loved that
+1: ebook experience - ok this has nothing to do with the actual contents or writing of the book, but i got this for free on apple books and i was like “oh i’ll get around to it eventually” but actually reading it on my ipad was a great experience.
-0.5: the timeline - this book takes place over a few months, but sometimes the timeline was a bit difficult to follow since there aren’t any clear dates mentioned at any time. it’s just “summer” for nearly all of the book

Sage and Hank

Sage thinks she's a bad sub because her ex couldn't satisfy her needs. They have a really bad breakup which causes her to leave town. Hank returns from his band's tour to find her in his apartment. I really didn't like the way they met because he was a jerk who allowed his dog to act aggressively towards her. I took a star off the rating for that since the behavior really was terrible.

Over time they help each other with their hang ups. He doesn't think he can be a dominant and she thinks she can't be a good sub. Their attraction helps them realize the possibilities.

Awesome book!!

This was a very good read. You have a beautiful woman who is into BSDM but has a boyfriend who is not a good Dom. She leaves him when he leaves her during a scene at the BSDM place because he was not being a good Dom and got mad at her. She then moves and finds a handsome man who learns to be the Dom she needs and shows her true love. The author really knows how to pull you into the story. Great book!!

I loved this book!!!!

It's a love story worthy of a fairy tale! A jaded rockstar, who was questioning what he might want to do with his life. A woman who has been wronged in the worst way comes to town lost and broken hearted. And the Hellhound that shares the apartment with them. This is a sweet and spicy love story that shows what it takes to make a truly beautiful relationship.

Deeply emotional story

I am not a fan of bdsm stories usually, but this was a deeply emotional story that happened to include bdsm rather than a bdsm story. The feelings are real and beautiful as both hank and sage find their courage and each other. Beautiful.
Standalone. 3rd person dual pov. No violence. Steamy, including bdsm scenes.

Awesome!

This book, as well as it's predecessor, are a great introduction to BDSM. As a newcomer to the romance genre, and not very BDSM aware, I found these two stories to be a great explanation of some of the ins and outs of the lifestyle. Add to that entertaining and romantic, making these stories awesome. Highly recommended.

This started out strong but lost me somewhere along the way. I finished it exasperated and rolling my eyes. Some worldbuilding facts are what threw me out of the story and once that bubble was popped, I just couldn’t get it back. The MMC being a perfect Dom cause “natural tendencies,” and the FMC just expecting her Dom to know how she is without any communication on her part was 🙄

In my opinion book 2 of this series was better than one...and I loved one. Traumatized and running from her past, Sage finally has her life were she wants it. But is she truly happy?

I love checking out new authors. I think her writing is good but it took me a bit to get into this story. I’m not a huge BDSM fan so that’s more on me than the storyline but those that do like them will enjoy it.

Okay read

This was my first Ella Sheridan book. It was a bit slow and meandering for me. Maybe not even meandering maybe it is just trying to fit this story into a certain box and missing a few corners.

A different read

This story had a different approach than the first one in the series. Despite the light hearted feel when they met, this story was heavy for me. Sage and Hank came from two opposing worlds but somehow that worked for them.

I rarely find a story with BDSM that doesn't make me cringe. This is a rare story. Sensual, sexual, dominating/submissive.

Hank not only allows his submissive to speak up, he encourages it.

Only for the Night by Ella Sheridan was a hot and steamy 5 star read.

The way that the story starts for Sage was really heartbreaking and embarrassing. I felt so bad for her. Sage ends up moving to California and starting over, which is where she meets Hank in a cute and funny way.

Hank can’t get her out of his mind The attraction between these two is electric. He just might be the Dom that she is searching for? Of course it’s not a simple as it sounds which makes this a great story.

I really enjoyed this read. It was the perfect kind of naughty that I enjoy reading. This is a BDSM read with a Dom and Sub that have great chemistry. I highly suggest you 1-click and get started today. Thank you for the great read Ella Sheridan.

This is the first book I've read by this author but the lure of a hot rockstar dom pulled me in and I'm glad it did.

Sage is a sub, but having her dom humiliate her was not what she had in mind. After that night, Sage leaves LA and moves to a small town looking to put the past behind her and move on with her life. What she did not expect was Hank, the hunky former cop turned rockstar. Sage know's getting into a relationship with her business partner and roommate is not exactly what she needs, but it is what she wants. The problem with that? Hank is not a dom, at least he doesn't think he is, and a dom is exactly what Sage needs.

Hank left the police force after uncovering his partner was not only a dom but he was the kind of dom that didn't know his limits. Continuously, he hurt his wife past the point of pleasure she wanted. Instead, Hank starts a band and leaves the city life for much quieter country living. When he returns home from work and finds Sage in his apartment and also his new business partner, Hank knows he is in very deep trouble. Not only does Hank want Sage, but he wants to own her. However, having witnessed the bad side of a dom/sub relationship, Hank swears he would never enter into one. He would never hurt a woman like that. Things change for Hank when he gets involved with Sage and discovers she is in fact a sub. Can Hank leave his reservations behind and become the dom she wants?

Hank's need to protect Sage warmed my heart, of course it helps that he is an ex cop turned rockstar.....swoon worthy much?! Sage for me wasn't your average sub she has fire and passion but also a side to her that though she was never good enough. I loved these two together, I loved how Sage helped Hank see that a dom/sub relationship was not what he thought it was, and how Hank worked through his opinions and became the person he always was deep down without losing the person he wanted to be.

Overall a lighter bdsm novel with hot scenes, a great plot and excellent characters makes this a 4* read for me. It could have been a 5 but there were parts I struggled to follow when written in third person. I'll definitely be reading the rest of the books in this series and more from this author in the future.

When you believe the worst danger comes from yourself…

“The hunger for her shook him, but he wouldn’t give in. He’d protect her, even from himself.”

Sage Lyndsey is starting over after being emotionally gutted by the man she loved. She’d embraced her role as a sub in their relationship and, while still haunted by what happened, she knew that was a part of herself she couldn’t let go. Hank Nash, on the other hand, had only seen the brutal aftermath of that type of relationship and wanted no part of it. Even if his uber-alpha side called to him…

To say they were at odds from the start is not a lie! From their fun and flirty first meeting their attraction was obvious. Hank is an alpha ex-cop with the voice and body of a rock star. Sage is thrilled to be baking, doing what she loves. Having the hunky singer in close proximity is going to offer her everything she ever dreamed of, if she can be free of the past… If Hank can overcome his own fears and see what could be possible…

There is sweetness and heat – oh the heat! – as they circle round and round that elephant in the room. Sage wants – needs - to submit and Hank, well, he refuses to give in to that side of himself. A standoff for sure but one that is not going to withstand the emotion to come.

There was emotion and angst, drama and lightheartedness set amidst song and cake. Lots of cake… I loved it all! Where has this author been hiding? This is only the first story I’ve read by this author – the second in this series – and I can’t wait to get my hands on the first! V and Jane played a huge part in this story and I need to read how their story began. And a backlist – a huge backlist… It’s like Christmas!

Five happy stars!

Only For The Night is an enjoyable, sweet romance with a sexy side to it. It's the second book in the If Only series, but it works well as a standalone. I may go back and read the first book though, as that book's main characters appeared in this story as part of the supporting cast and I loved both of them. This is a an easy to read book, with a sexy rock star hero with a sweet tooth, and a baker heroine who can definitely satisfy his sweet cravings. I must say that this book made me very hungry, and I'm desperate to try a bear claw pastry - but I've never seen them here in the UK!

After being publicly humiliated by her Dom, Sage starts afresh in a new town by purchasing the town's popular bakery. But her first meeting with her new landlord turns embarrassing when his dog pinches the towel she was wearing after having a shower! Her landlord is Hank Nash, a cop turned rock star and he is absolutely gorgeous. Their chemistry is amazing, but they discover their is a big obstacle in their path if they want to start a relationship. Sage is submissive, and needs to submit to be fulfilled in life. Hank has only ever seen the ugly side of the lifestyle - a former colleague who was a so called 'Dom' that abused his partner - and now he has a hatred of BDSM. Can Sage show Hank the beauty of the lifestyle? Will Hank be able to meet her half way and make their relationship succeed?

The BDSM in this book is fairly light, so it's an ideal read for someone who's new to the genre. There are some great moments of humour in this book, and some fabulously hot sexy scenes. It's an ideal beach read where you can dream about your own tattooed, alpha male rocker! Five stars!

This was the first time reading anything by Ella Sheridan and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet story. The characters chemistry was awesome and were well written, and the story flowed smoothly. Ella Sheridan has given us a amazing story that will hook you and keep you in it;s pages from start to finish, and will then leave us wanting more from this author. Sage is a submissive who was embarrassed by her Dom ,so he break off their relationship. So she run away to the California Coast. And soon she buys a bakery to start her life over. But then there's Hank who's an ex-cop turned rock star, and him and his band is on leave and he decides to travel home, but when he gets home he fines the beautiful and sexy Sage in his home. But seeing that Hank is all alpha male ,he was kind of shocked to fine her there, but when she sees him her juices begin to flow through her . But to her surprise and her past she find herself attracted to him,it was instantly there for her. But will she be able to deal with it now of what? Sage and Hank has different different backgrounds and life style ,and they come from different worlds. And their sexual ideas and views are also different. As she recovered from what happen before she ran and the bad relationship experience ,but so is Hank .Will they be able to come together ,and find happiness and will all their wounds be able to heal also. Or will their pasts keep them apart ? I could tell you more but that would spoil it for you .I highly recommend that you read this touching story ,you won't be disappointed.
