I have been waiting for this book to find out what happened to Ingrid, the Viking, and the author did not disappoint.
Ingrid has some power within her but is not sure what it is or how to use it.
Finding out is fantastic!
Well written, with great characters, cannot wait to read the next one.

Anticipated sequel to Ingrid the Viking Maiden, Amber Magic is sure to be a hit! Step back to the past with superb historical research, but this is not a historical novel. It is filled with myth, magic, great fight scenes, and a touch of romance. Kelly N. Jane is a wonderful YA author who is sure to give us many more pleasant surprises in the future.
Now that Ingrid knows what her destiny holds in store for her, she, Selby, Shield Maiden and best friend, Jorg, her half-elf boyfriend, and Plintze, a dwarf, loyal friend, have left their village and set out to find the volva Ingrid’s mother spoke of. With the volva’s help Ingrid hoped to reach the goddess Eir, to be trained for the battle to come and her part in it. All the companions are dedicated to Ingrid’s quest and keeping her safe.
The dark elf lord has given Ingrid only two moons before he returns to collect her. She either joins him or he will destroy her village and all those she loves. Her only chance to defeat this evil lord and save not only her home, but all of Midgard, is to find Eir and learn to harness the powers within herself. The Norns have placed a heavy destiny on the shoulders of a sixteen year old human. Will it be too much for Ingrid?
The task of finding the volva and getting to Eir for training may be more difficult than Ingrid anticipated. After ten days trekking the forests in search, they have nothing but scratches and Ingrid’s ever souring temper to show for their efforts. They are soon to find there is more danger in the wood than beast of the natural world and those crossing the thinning veil between realms. Ingrid is being hunted.

An amazing second installment to the Viking Maiden series. Amber Magic brings us deeper into the lives of Ingrid, Jorg, Selby, and Plintz making them feel like friends rather than characters. It also raises the stakes...tremendously, and it totally thrilling with so much action! Ingrid is really coming into her own on this one (it’s only days after the first book ends but she feels much older after all she’s been through) and I can’t wait for book three to see how she gets herself out of the pickle she finds herself in at the end! 😲
Craft note: As always with Kelly N. Jane’s work, the research is astounding. I’ve learned loads about Viking culture and fae lore in this series. There’s also a richness in the writing because Jane uses so many senses to show ya what’s happening all the while keeping the pacing of the book up. I’m short, it’s a brilliant, meticulously thought out, and well edited second novel

Phew talk about a roller coaster ride , part two of this series is just as good as the first part and you can tell the author didn't just rush thru this to just get it in the hands of reader's , she took the time to flesh the main character out and we see her grow as this wonderful story continues . Action action and more action as I said it a roller coaster ride you don't want to stop . So go ahead and pick this up and enjoy the ride . 😁😁😁😁

ONE FANTASTIC STORY!!!
Wow! This is one exciting, engaging, action packed, nerve racking, page turning tale that captivates from the start. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few glitches here and there make for one enjoyable experience. The characters and their personalities are so realistic and believable it feels like you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are so graphic and detailed it's easy to picture each scenario as it plays off one another in perfect balance. Kelly did an incredible job bringing this read together beautifully. Fantastic job Kelly, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.

Ingrid continues her journey in this second installment. She must learn to control her powers before the dark elf prince finds her and before she loses her chance to be the hero her destiny says she is. Throughout the story her determination to save her family and friends she continues to push through any hardship she faces. I cannot wait to finish the conclusion of this great series.

Wow is Ingrid having a hard time. Everyone seems to be out to get her, but of course Jarrick is the worst. Many secrets revealed in this book which explain a lot. Bring on the next book.
