Ugh, this was bad! The story ended at 13% but I only managed to hang on for 6%. And I really kept reading because SOMETIMES the sex scene (at least for me and I’m NOT ashamed to admit it) has the power to “save” a book. It didn’t this time in fact, I think it may have made it WORSE! Such a shame too because I had a lot of Amy Brent on my TBR—this was my first book by her— but I likely won’t try any others now.

"Achingly" bad

In books like this, I'm not expecting prose, okay? Or reality. Your grabbing a literary Snickers bar, a little junk food...but I hate reaching for a Snickers and getting a handful of dried-out, semisweet morsels because the author couldn't be bothered to even throw in basic book ingredients.
Brent seems to have no concept of realistic dialog, of characterization, of the life experiences about which she chooses to write, or of the basics of creative writing in general. Adverbs are NOT your friend, dear.
She's either a decent technical writer or has a decent editor, but she should seriously NOT be writing fiction.
It was free, thank goodness...

0/5 I have never read something so badly written! It was truly awful! The characters were awful, had no chemistry, the plot was awkward, there was not climax or character development, there was a lot of irrelevant information, Alexis spoke like a 4 year old not a 6 and 7 year old...it was so annoying. But what got to me was the writing...it was so Goddamn awful I skimmed the rest of the book and was either cringing, rolling my eyes, or laughing. This wins the #1 spot on my "so bad it's funny" bookshelf!

Karly is looking for a job when she saw the nanny position and talked with her friend about it before applying. Damon is a single father and CEO of his own company. When his nanny has an emergency he is left looking for a new nanny for his daughter Alexis. Karly and Alexis hit it off right at the beginning of the interview but Damon wants to check out the others before hiring her. Damon likes Karly because she always early and how she treats his daughter. Pretty soon he is looking at her as more than just his nanny. Karly is really attracted to her boss however there's one thing he doesn't know about her...she's a virgin. After fighting their attraction for so long Damon ends up taking Karly to dinner so they can discuss it. They end up coming up with an agreement to keep everything between them to see where it goes. Kind of like a nanny with benefits. But what will they do if someone finds out about them before they are ready?

This was a great story. This is a well written and very entertaining story. The chemistry between Damon and Karly is blazing hot. I would recommend this to any book lover.

Another great story Amy. Once I started reading it couldn't put it down till the end. This was a sweet, funny, steam story. So Damon hires Karly to be his nanny to the cutest little girl Alexis. Sorry thats it cant say any more with out given you any spoilers. A must read. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy

This was a sweet story of getting a second chance at love. Damon & Karly are perfect together but I think it was Alexis who stole the show. Alexis is sweet and caring and love her name for Karly (Karly- good-girl). This book will have you hooked from chapter 1. Great story with great characters.

DNF.

The "business talk" didn't make sense, and seemed more of a filler than an actual part of the plot. Maybe the endless rambling about "work" actually became important, but not soon enough before I put it down.

There was zero chemistry between the two characters, and I didn't see how the kid was considered "cute" as often as she was. I've seen several child characters who literally jumped off the page with their precocious energy and that didn't happen here. I was more irritated by Alexis than amused or endeared by her.

The sessy times were anything but, and he treated her like a doormat and house elf instead of a partner he was falling for.

2.5 stars.

I’ll start this off by saying that Amy Brent is a favorite author of mine. Having said that, Nanny With Benefits is not my favorite book of hers. Maybe because compared to some of her other books, Damon and Kaly were a bit boring and aside from the few run in with the ex, there was not a lot of drama. This was a decent book but just didn’t get my blood pumping like I’d hoped. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.

I couldn't even finish the book. The 6 yr old kid talks like a 2yr old & the adults aren't much better. I have no idea how it got the rating it did.

Belonging

Damon [multi billionaire, gorgeous, alpha male, single dad and did I say gorgeous?] needs a nanny for his little 6 year old daughter, Alexis.  His wife died and he has concentrated on Alexis and business but he needs a nanny for her but Alexis is 'particular' about them and they rarely last long until she meets Karly or as Alexis calls her "Karly-good-girl".  Amy Brent has pushed out all the stops with this story and it is most definitely my favourite of her stories to date! Karly makes this little family so much better. So much happier and full of life and Amy has brought these 'people' into 3-dimensional beings who practically come alive as I read through their HEA.  Their story is entirely straightforward but it will certainly keep you on the edge of your seat desperately waiting to turn the page so that you can find out what happens to them in this passionate and loving story. I'm really looking forward to her next story.  I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED - Amy's best story yet as far as I'm concerned.

I'm hunting for a nanny. And a submissive. Karly doesn't know it yet, but she's about to fill both voids. I give orders. That's how I made my billions. But it's hard being a single dad. Karly's a virgin and doesn't know what she wants. Till I tell her. She'll take care of my six-year-old, and I'll take care of her. The papers can't find out I've got a nanny with benefits, or that Karly's pregnant. She thinks I don't know, but I know everything. Her full wet lips begged me to take her. Raw. I gave her what she wanted. She likes taking my orders. I've tasted her submission and want more. But our secret baby is out. Her ex is looking for her, and so are the reporters. Karly thinks I'll run. But I don't run, I fight. I don't care who knows. Karly's mine now. And I'll protect my family, no matter the cost.

What an amazing short read this was I found it very entertaining which made it difficult to put down. The characters were wonderfully put together and that made the book very enjoyable. The was the first book I've read by Amy Brent and I thoroughly enjoyed it and if the book is anything to go by I'll definitely be reading more of her books in the future.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Damon Jacobs and Karly Lewis. Damon is an alpha male and he makes no excuses about that. So when he wakes up and finds he has no nanny for his daughter he isn't happy. He does what he always does though he takes charge. Karly is a girl who needs a job desperately. After loosing her job due to company bankruptcy she knows to stay above water she will need a job quick. Little did either of them realize how they would affect the other. Will they get a HEA or will they find nothing but landmines ahead?

This is an amazing book. It does have its ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. I however don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

This was a good version of the single dad-nanny trope. Karly comes to work for Damon and his very special daughter, Alexis. After being let go during her company’s downsizing, and leaving behind her abusive ex, Karly is delighted to be working for such a nice and handsome boss taking care of his delightful child.
Damon lost his wife four years ago and hasn’t been interested in anyone since. His focus is his child and his business—until Karly steps into his life. She’s gorgeous, intelligent, and his daughter takes to her immediately. She awakens feelings that he wasn’t sure he’d ever feel again and soon he can’t stop thinking about her, or what he wants to do to her.
There was lots of heat, some light dom/sub action, and lots of six year old cuteness. I voluntarily reviewed this Advance Reader Copy.

Amy Brent is one of those authors who really engages a reader with her stories and this one is no exception. Damon is a single father and CEO who is left in a lurch when his nanny needs to leave for personal reasons. Karly is a young woman seeking employment and at the encouragement of her friend, decides to apply for the nanny position. The attraction between Damon and Karly is instantaneous but due to the relationship, they attempt to fight it. However, as a “friend” opens his mouth about the ‘nanny with benefits’ to an undercover reporter, how will Damon and Karly deal with the fallout of their secret no more? This is one storyline filled with humor, drama and steamy scenes that will steal any reader’s heart.
I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.

Well written story with nice storyline and plot. The characters are well described and my favourite is the daughter but she seems a bit too immature for her age. She has a nice humor and fits the story well. The CEO has an employed nanny that leaves without notice and he has to employ a new one fast. Karly is the favourite of both the daughter and Damon. Karly and Damon has instant attraction and he wants her. He protects her and helps when she needs it.
A mix of drama, stalker ex, passion, hot chemistry and twists makes it worth the read. It lacks a bit in the part of submission but an enjoyable and captivating romance.

Nanny with Benefits

WOW if you loved Friends with Benefits and Roomies with Benefits your gonna absolutely love Nanny with Benefits. Amy Brent has outdone herself.
After Damon's Nanny left abruptly he desperately needed a new Nanny for his adorable 6 year old daughter Alexis. Alexis and her ragdoll Clara were very much part of choosing the Nanny.
When Karly goes for the interview she instantly falls in love with Alexis and Clara but she didn't expect was to fall in love with her boss!
This book is beautifully written with some great secondary characters. I give this book 5 stars, more if I could.

Damon is a single father to a Alexis, 6 yrs old, and CEO of his company. His nanny leaves him in a lurch to go visit her mom. Needing a nanny asap he starts the interviews the only glitch is he's letting Alexis chose the nanny. They both instantly liked Karly. Karly was needing a job and her friend talked her into applying for a live in nanny position. When Karly gets the job, both her and Damon are having a hard time fighting the attraction for each other. Before they give in to their attraction Karly's ex starts causing problems. Of all the books in this series this is my favorite. I couldn't put it sown and was drawn to the characters. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Another fun and exciting story by Amy Brent. Nanny with Benefits was a well written story with some great characters who have amazing chemistry. Of course there is an adorable little girl who you may fall for also. A story about a single dad Damon who is looking for a nanny for his adorable six year old daughter Alexis. Karly is a woman looking for work and with the help of a friend she applies for a nanny position. When these two meet for an interview, you can feel the chemistry between them and you can feel the great connection also between Alexis and Karly. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and was not disappointed I enjoyed this great read.

Karly is Damon's nanny to his little girl, Alexis. He knows he should keep this professional, but he cannot seem to stop thinking about her and the things he would love to do to her. She is untouched and this makes him want her even more. Will Karly be able to resist Damon? How will they cope when the press finds out? This book was brought to life in an intriguing and exciting way. My attention was caught from beginning to end and I could not put the book down. A must-read! Damon had lost the love of his life 4 years ago and had dedicated his life to being the best dad he could. Karly had been laid off from her job and decided to give being a nanny a try. Damon's daughter, Alexis, didn't take up with just anyone, so when she took up with Karly immediately upon meeting her, he knew he had found the right nanny. The more they were around each other, the more they couldn't deny the chemistry that was between them. This story is great and is another super book by Amy Brent. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Karly needed a job, and Damon needed a nanny. Damon's nanny up and quit on him without notice so he needed to find someone fast. While interviewing the candidates he never thought someone as beautiful as Karly would ever show up. His daughter Alexis fell in love with her right away and won't accept anyone but her as her nanny. Damon was more than happy to hire her, but then the more time they spent together the more they both couldn't deny the attraction. Now they just had to figure out how to stay out of the tabloids.

Nanny with Benefits by Amy Brent was entertaining. Although i found that the Karly character was a bit weak and would have loved if she was a bit more stronger and outspoken.
Damon a Ceo of a Fortune 500 company and single father needs a nanny urgently as the last nanny left unexpectedly. When Damon meets Karly he wants the nanny and will do anything to have her submit to him. But the decision falls to his daughter to choose the new nanny. Alexis is a cute character thay has the adults on their toes.

Oh Karly, you just thought you were going for a Nanny’s job. What you got was a cute 6year old Alexis and one hot sexy daddy Damon. Now the fun begins
The chemistry is hot between Damon and Karly but to me it’s Alexis that steals the show. So full of child like comments but such innocence and brilliant names for her daddy and Karly.
A brilliant story full of love, romance, passion and so much more. A brilliant story.

A total winner, I quickly came to love Damon and Karly, not to mention his daughter Alexis. The chemistry between Damon and Karly is strong right from the start, and Alexis is a total cutie. I had a wonderful time getting to know Damon and Karly, and Alexis's interactions with Karly are pretty special too. It's heart-warming, yet the drama is just where it needed to be. A very special romance that I'll be re-reading. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.

I really enjoyed this story, the characters were good and likeable (except those that weren't meant to be). The chemistry was believable, sexy and sweet. Although it wasn't plain sailing for their relationship, I liked how it wasn't anything but two people trying to deal with their feelings and navigate a new relationship - no lying, no withholding the truth, just feelings and honesty. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an ARC.

I so loved this book it was amazing, at first I thought it was like many I had read before but I was totally wrong it blew me away, Damon and Karly’s story captivated my heart from the get go and it just got better and better and throw in his cute daughter Alexis into the mix and she steals the show with her cuteness, overall a great book and would recommend it to everyone. Karly needed a job and she loved kids. A nanny was the perfect job. She adored Alexis. She thought Damon, her new employer, was Hot.

One thing leads to another and the press runs with the story. Her life is a fairy tale until the press and her crazy ex make an appearance.

I was rooting for Karly, Damon and Alexis to be a happy family. With stress upon stress, will Karly be able to keep living the dream?

Another really great book from Ms. Brent. I will say that this wasn’t my absolute favorite book by her but I did still really enjoy it. I mean how I could I not with little Alexis. She was so adorable and lovable as were Damon and Karly.
Karly needs a job as she was recently laid off; Damon needs a new nanny as his didn’t show up one day. Perfect timing for the two of them made for a perfect love story.

I loved the way kindergardener Alexis and her rag doll help her widower CEO father, Damon, interview Karly for the position of nanny-an immediate hit for both Alexis and her father. Karley is a 25 year old virgin, who can cook, clean and charm the members of this family, including the rag doll! A match made in heaven that has many hurdles to overcome, including a destructive ex, gossip, papparrazi! But the happy ending does arrive making this a five star read!
