Thank you for being a good writer that is both entertaining and engaging with your style of writing. I'm glad to see your book is a story and an experience of sorts and not a textbook. This really isn't just a textbook on being a quaker pastor it's a story on the experience of being a member of the society of friends. This may be the best easy to read explanation on what it's to be quaker. I've been looking for something that briefly and easily explains what it means to be quaker for a long time and this book does exactly that. This goes way beyond teaching pastors, this should be teaching people about quakers and what it means to be quaker. It really should be in every Friend's church and religious section of every bookstore.

Three things I admire about the Quakers are what Baisley identifies as basics for them; awareness of God's presence, listening to the voice of the spirit, and doing the gospel. This book described how they do all that, and where a pastor fits into the church body.

What a great resource for a seminary course as well. Full of examples and history.

PS Now I really want to attend a Quaker wedding.

Ministry for those of us who don't know everything, and who share the room with lay theologians... honestly, not sure how different this is.
