It was nice short story I didn’t enjoy it as much as “the Heir” I felt that nick and Jo lost the open aspect and truthfulness in their relationship
Nick kept messing up things with Jo And Jo was not as affirmative and smart as I thought she would be
I expected her to empress the queen and the king with her ideas and thoughts I expected she would learn and study more about the history of the country by herself I expected she would try and get close to the normal people of the country not the high class people I expected she would take a better role in learning the needed new look of a queen
Instead she was always confused and looking for guidance and what she seemed to excel in was dancing and water activities.
Writing style still beautiful however many character flaws appeared.
Above all still impressed by the strong family connections seen in this book and how the book remains clean from any explicit language or sexual scenes.
Getting caught up in palace life, constant publicity both good and bad, and royal expectations has Jo reeling. Lurking near fringes is Monique, Nico's parents' first choice for his spouse. Nico claims he has no feelings for Monique but turns to her far too often instead of Jo. Nico's father dies sooner than expected and he is reluctantly thrust into the role of King. Jo is shuffled farther and farther into the background until feels she has no place in his life. So, she returns home with her father. Nico follows, on the heels of his coronation, and reclaims his fianceé. He needs her by his side as his queen and in his life as his wife.
A Great Conclusion to Prince Nick and Josephine romance
A very good conclusion to the romance of Prince Nico and Josephine (Jo). This book continues where "The Heir" left off, taking the reader through all the problems, struggles, and delights of being in a royal family. I think this promises to be a very cute, sweet and clean romance series about the remaining five brothers and one sister of this royal Valdez family. A relatively easy and quick book to read. I would recommend this book. Vicki from Wyoming
I love the happily ever after of a billionaire romance and the fact that this was about royals made it even more enjoyable. Once I started reading, it had me hooked and, before I knew it, I was reading the epilogue. I was mesmerized and enchanted, even as I spoke to the characters about the mistakes I thought they were making. (Doesn't everyone talk to their books?) I'm anxious to read the next book in the series and would highly recommend this to anyone who tends to get invested in their book "friends." This will go on my "read again" shelf.
Nico has gone home to take on more royal duties as King Francisco's health continues to decline. Jo as his fiancee, accompanies him. But the glamorous Monique is still determined that she, not Jo, will be the next queen. For a time it seems Monique's scheme might work. But the world isn't through shaking her up yet. Summers continues the story with her usual ease at handling sensitive situations. Recommended for all readers of clean royal billionaire romance.
This was another great book by Sophia Summers. It is a continuation of Jo and Nico’s story. It is a fun, clean, quick read. It’s about facing the responsibilities and requirements of the crown. It follows Jo and Nick as they wrap there head around their growing responsibilities and personal needs. Jo questions if she can be the Queen that Nico needs. Nico has to question if he is strong enough to stand on his own, especially if Jo walks away.
I'm sure it's not easy writing a series of books, but I felt like I entered a play in the third act and didn't understand the story. Disappointing superficial characters and story with no flow. Very disjointed conversations with too much left unsaid to make a story with meaning. I wouldn't recommend this book.
Such a cute book. I love Jo's spit fire. Niko was kind of a baby to be honest. I never really liked all the crap that Monique was doing but it did make it obvious. I just with there was more humiliation on Monique for what she put Jo through and I'm not a vindictive person. The story was a bout Jo and the prince not Monique.
This is a book that has lots of facets to it. I really enjoyed reading about the Royals and how they have changed over the years by being able to marry who they choose.
I'm glad that Nico and Jo persevered through all the stumbling blocks that was being thrown into their paths. I knew Monique was behind all the press attacks against Jo as did Trane. I'm glad that they got married and their HEA.
I really loved this book. It follows the first book "The Heir" and deals with so many issues that cause problems with Jo being accepted by the family and country. I especially loved the latter part of the story. It is a lovely book to read. I hope you enjoy it!
This book was the fulfillment of Nico and Jo 's life. I enjoyed the trials they went through before coming together in the end as King and Queen. I can't wait to read Book 3 The Duke.
Jo and Nico have such a good story. An ex girlfriend that is beloved by the Queen starts interfering and Jo’s ex boyfriend pulls a few stunts. Jo an Nico are pulled apart. Can they survive the bad press and manipulations to find their happily ever after?
What seems like a fairytale ends up as a complicated relationship between them. Jo and her father, best friend and her father's nurse, all have to brave the shoals ahead!!!
This was a sweet ending to the story. I appreciate that it was clean and ended in marriage. I look forward to seeing some of the other characters stories.
Sorry, but I found the storyline to be rather weak and sketchy. Is it, maybe, a YA book? Maybe I didn't do due diligence on researching before I fought.
