Six children. Five brothers. One sister. The adventures they chose fit their personalities perfectly, though the path to love for each one was winding and uncertain.
The Repington family was close, though they did have their disagreements from time to time. Headed by the Duke of Castborough, the family had responsibilities, difficulties, and camaraderie.
The duke and his wife had six children. Headstrong and determined in their own ways, the children were similar but often vastly different. Though they struggled through troubles, they loved each other fiercely.
This series has six parts - one for each of the duke’s children. Read about how each one grew to exceed the duke’s hopes and how each one found true love.
This series must be one of the worst that I have ever attempted reading! The author has no idea of how the aristocracy spoke of acted during that period. I think that she has read a few Regency books and tried to write based on that knowledge. It didn't work! In addition to her ignorance I don't think that the books were edited or proofread at all! A number of the sentences made no sense at all! For example: Major Stewart exclaimed his voice allowed us to start out others around them. If anyone can make sense of that sentence I'll be very surprised! And there were many others as bad or worse. Missing words, two sentences running together etc. It was badly written and badly thought out! One star.
It was so enjoyable to read the love story of each of the siblings. It ended happily with Henrietta. The only reason I gave the middling rate was the rapidly increasing errata that escalated in the finale. Please have your stories proofread before publication, Kelly. Keep writing, though.
Enjoyed the Books of the Repington Family. My only complaint is not finishing each book. They needed an epilogue and maybe an extended epilogue. Very good none the less.
