In the months before I started my business now a decade ago, this was the book that helped me more than any other...on the big and small questions, everything from whether and how to start as a sole proprietor or LLC, to how to create an Employee ID number. Back then, I was the mother of a new born and a toddler. I never imagined that I would work for myself. That was the hidden gift when my position was eliminated months before the company was sold. This book is a treasure of information for women who want to or are in the process of starting a new business. It is written by a woman and parent who had to chart some of the waters herself. I got to work with Peri Pakroo briefly and she is a lovely human. I highly recommend this book which from time to time I still refer to and I use an attorney only when needed. I enthusiastically continue to gift this book to other women new to starting and running a business.
