Shibani, who is oblivious to any of this information, is gaining affection of another guy. The trio falls into the cobweb of emotions, love, heartbreak and betrayal. The road ahead is not easy. You do not want to lose your friend, but you cannot also lose the one you love. What will their lives lead into? Where is the fate taking them? Are they going to make some sense out of the situation or will they decide to never cross paths again? Geet is on a diverging road, which path will she choose? Overall : 2/5
Feeling : Disappointed
Recommend : No One

I waited long for this book to read and as it was hyped so much online, i am bit disappointed to finish it as it is not that great.

It takes a good start then slowly it become very common and guessing the next line and passage become so easy. Typical Bollywood style story with happy ending , few easily guessable twist and turns and abrupt ending. No Elaborate storyline and full of forceful addition of sexual orientation even places where it was not desired or needed.

Overall not even a one time read and seemed like wasting of time. I have still rated 2 stars as i love the previous works of the author.

I am bit new to goodreads and hence this is my first review. I will add reviews of other book i have read in the past as and when i get time.

--cheers

This is my first book from Sudeep Nagarkar's stable and to be frank, it has left me utterly disappointed. After much contemplation, influenced by the ratings of 4 and above on Amazon and Goodreads, I went ahead with this book. But then it did not excite me. The book was not a page turner for me definitely.

It is an average book with average filmy story. Nothing some excited and real facts are there. When I was reading this, I thought I was reading some hindi serial drama. I am truly disappointed by this book. I think author was trying to excite the modern generation by including some love, kiss and sex type things.

SUDEEP NAGARKAR has become THE NAME in the romantic genre which makes it easy for his book to sell in large numbers even before its release. With 6 books in his kitty and almost each of them doing well in market, his 7th book- "She Swiped Right Into My Heart" has just released today and as usual, I had high expectations from him like every time. I would say that by his own standards, this is not his best but certainly a fine attempt as he have tried to cover several issues in this fictional story. I like how Sudeep doesn't write books in a revolutionary way with each sentence presenting itself as it will change the whole nation in that second itself but he tries to influence your thought process with his stories gradually. Though I feel that at this stage, he should start attempting little more mature stories with a tone of thriller, spirituality or based on corporate theme which can attract even the age group above 25.

Talking about "She Swiped Right Into My Heart", it is a story of two sisters- Shibani and Tushita, their friend- Geet and two boys who take entry in their life eventually- Rudra and Vivaan. All 5 of them share a single roof many a times in this story. Though it becomes quite unbelieving that warden of a girl's hostel is allowing boys just because they don't look any dangerous. Author has beautifully captured how a girl faces physical abuses in a relationship and still can't end it overnight because of fear of reaction of her boyfriend. He also discusses another issue where a girl is bullied almost everyday in college where anyone does something which makes her trip and fall on her face etc. The way author discusses this in few initial pages is really disturbing. Though the end of it isn't convincing as I wanted the victims to respond in the similar way to her bullies but she does it quite softly.

Many other issues are prominently discussed in this book but the prime is about a girl who identifies her sexual orientation not being straight. And how she ends up fulfilling her sexual desire is another throwback into this book which is majorly covered in 2nd part of it. In short, author is trying to convey many messages to the youth through his stories and that's what makes him click with his fans and new young readers who are picking his books one after another and making him much bigger with each one of them.

Coming to the drawbacks of this book, I would say that author takes lot of sentences to assure himself that the particular message is reaching his readers which makes it little boring and irritating when you get the message in the first sentence itself but still end up reading the same thing explained in different ways for next 2 pages. It would be great if author will try to be specific and be confident while describing even a disturbing scenario in a sentence or two. This will ripple more effect on readers. Rest, the twists and turns in this story weren't revealed in a proper manner which lessened its impact. The characters could have been woven with little more finesse the way Geet is treated in the book. You find it hard to connect with anyone else as you do with Geet. Overall, I would say that this is an average attempt by the author considering the standard he has set for himself. I give this 3.25* out of 5. Next time, I am expecting a thriller from Sudeep Nagarkar. Let's watch out!

Thanks.

She Swiped Right Into My Heart is a captivating novel by Sudeep Nagarkar.. The book talks about the concept of friendship, relationships, and obviously sensitive issues like LGBT, Bullying... The characters are portrayed reaply strongly.. for instance, it takes guts to weave such a villanious character of Andy and the mean characters of those girls gang who used to bully the protagonist, Geet.. Shibani is elucidated as the mouthpiece of LGBT comnunity who realises her preferences only after getting attracted to her best friend, Geet which ends up at a great havoc.. on the other side, Tushita is the victim of tormented relationship who later finds solace in Vivaan's care..moreover, Rudra is caught in the clutches of his past.. all these characters play a vital role in the development of the plot...the trials and tribulations these quadro group face makes the readers smile and lament at times..Sudeep has done complete justice to the characters.. The descriptions and epistolar attitude of the book makes it enthralling..

I bought a copy because I was researching on what kind of books sell and I noticed that this was a best seller. I sincerely thank the author for writing this because it gave me a lot of confidence in my own writing. I possibly cannot write any worse than this abomination. I do not understand how people give out 5 or 4 star reviews for this book when the writing lacks depth and characterization. It was just 80 or so pages of incoherent rambling without any real dialogue. I would say 6th class students of our high schools would have a better love story to tell than this guy. The author should retire storytelling ideally but his legion of fans wouldn't let him. He brings the caliber of Indian authors down. I literally wept for the people that had to read this monstrosity.

LOTS OF SPOILERS AHEAD.
First of all,I must appreciate Sudeep Nagarkar for writing about so called "taboo" issues in his book, and also for writing about so many issues at once :bullying, physical abuse in a relationship, having a different sexual orientation than most others .But that is where I draw the line on appreciation, and begin to focus on the faults.Shibani is a passionate biker.Should'nt biking form atleast a small part of the story? It is instead just written to show out her character:bold and fearless. Also,I never felt very connected with her,she remained a one dimensional character, though I sympathised with her in the end. Tushita was a character who was even more one dimensional than her sister,Shibani. Though she had mental and physical scars, the hurt which she felt kept being displayed almost in the same words, that I lost interest.Tushita's Prince (the way she depicts her ideal man) was again, repeated so many times. Also,Tushita coping with the scars arent exactly shown.Geet was a character I liked, given her superior intelligence. But the fact I did not like in Geet and the entire book was that a girl had to become pretty for the guy to like her.Rudra didn't give Geet a second glance till she turned pretty. Also whatever the girls wore was heavily discussed (some times only,I admit)but that put me off.Rudra was very badly characterised,in fact I could not understand what even was his character.Geet could perceive well, but apart from that,I didn't understand what even drew them together,or why Geet is said to be kind and all that.Vivaan was good.I liked him especially when he was the only one who understood Shibani.Ending was very stereotypical. The book could have been written much better.2 stars just for the issues the author took the effort to educate people about.

This book sucks. I never read Indian authors but i was forced to read this on a train journey. Im someone who wants to complete the book once started no matter how bad it is. I painfully finished this book as fast as I could. The story was lame typical bollywoodish kind. The characters were very plain. His writing style and vocabulary is of a 4th grade student who is forced to write an essay in exam and he writes whatever the hell he can manage to score marks. I wish we had better authors in India and most importantly, better readers because as long as people keep reading and making such shitty books bestsellers, we are never going to get rid of these pathetic 'writers'

The introductory part was so interesting that I thought it would end with an interesting climax. The narration made me lose interest(too childish). It ended to a boring story. I think author was able to make too good.

However, I don't understand how could Geet forgive Shivani so easily? I can understand the feelings of Shivani, but it doesn't allot her the right to upload private pics of her best friend?

The only thing I liked was the nature of Vivan. A good example of an ideal personality.

Overall, I don't recommend to read it.

Awesome... Really a nice read and very much enjoyable :)
A story of love and friendship, the trio (Tushitha, Geet & Shibani) love each other unconditionally, suffers through a lot of mess still stands together in the end. The author has done amazing job and the way he tells the story surely reaches the heart of the readers. He has done full justice to the novel.
Well.... He also creates magic with words...
I Am sure it's worth reading. Go for it.

A story of college going student who face bullying by other classmates but still she managed to face them with help of their best friends.
It shows how best friends are helpful to each other in difficult situation.

Tushita, Shibani, Geet and Vivaan are best friends and they won't leave a single chance to pull down each other but never miss any of them when they are in trouble..

Tushita, who was saved by her friends from her boyfriend and taken care by Vivaan . Afterwards she felt something different about him that she liked him!

When Geet is abused by some girls about her fake boyfriend vivaan backedup her and didn't let her down.

Rudra! A person with whom every girl wants to be with but he asks Geet to be his fake girlfriend in order to shut up others as he wants to study with her in one point, on the other hand he wants to save her from abuse and tension she gets from her classmates. So they become not only best friends but partners for life time as once Geet advised him why his father left him and he is same as his father. Her words striked him into his heart so fiercelly that he felt his eyes wide opened when he first heard. Later, he thought about Geet's words and realised that she was right actually and confronted her about it. After this incident, they fall in love madly with each other. Their bond was so powerful that nobody could made them apart from each other but Shibani did! Strange isn't it?

Shibani, Tushita and Geet were roommates. Nobody was aware about Shibani and only thing they knew was that Shibani didn't like guys unless one day everyone saw her with Geet!
It was awful initially to believe that Shibani was gay but late Vivaan explained her everything about it that there is nothing wrong to be gay which relaxed her from stress.

But Vivaan confessed something more which Tushita heard and felt angry. Later, she asked Shibani about that and told her not to talk to her as she didn't do right to save her. Shibani already knew Vivaan was the only one to make her walk on her own legs as she couldn't walk or even stand up one her own but Vivaan did everything fer her to make her happy.

What's the end?
At the end, all friends met each other and Tushita confessed her love to Vivaan. How courageous she was!

This is best book ever I have read. Story is thrilling and it gives goosebumps while reading.
Must read once.

Okay, you guys, after reading “Few things left unsaid” I bought this book from amazon back in 2018 “She swiped right into my heart”. After reading this, I can’t get more enough of this book.

At the point when Tushita met with a mishap and her leg got incapacitated, yet she conceals it from Vivaan, Vivaan is Tushita's friend. he came to think about and need his affection to remain on her feet soon and did whatever he can.

Geet wanted get famous in the college so she decided to make a deal with the college's playboy Rudra. He acts as geet’s fake boyfriend. After they fell in love with each other, at some point, Rudra totally changed into gentlemen because of Geet’s love.

You will love every character coming across. The story will unfold in front of you and you will relate to the characters and the story so much that you will feel that you are living it. The author deeply described Rudra’s and Geet’s love and the emotions they have for each other.

The way the author described their love-making, little conversation when they were together and went on a date. How Rudra surprised Geet for her birthday. Each and everything about them is perfect.

When their love is going passionately. Suddenly a misunderstanding creates between them, so they don’t talk with each other, I love that how Rudra solves their problem and all.

All the adoration and school sorts of stuff in this book are not all that new. In any case, the portrayal, depicting companionship, and examining themes make this book fascinating and worth perusing. Three distinct stories attached to the string of companionship, take off for their excursions and discovered long-lasting adoration, hope, trust during that course.

This book will show the impacts of acts like savagery and harassment for the individuals who do them and don't have a clue about the effect it has.For the individuals who experience it, it resembles a mirror and furthermore gives a positive vibe that it will not keep going forever. I really love the way the author wrote about Shibani’s character, there is a social message where some people do not accept the fact that there is always love is equal for all.

A captivating tale of friendship, love, and self-discovery

Sudeep Nagarkar's "She Swiped Right Into My Heart" is a heartwarming and engaging novel that delves into the complexities of love, friendship, and self-acceptance. The book centers around Geet, an unpopular college student who finds solace and support in her friendship with the beautiful and popular Shibani. As their connection deepens, Geet begins to develop feelings for her friend, leading to a journey of self-discovery and acceptance.

Strengths:

Compelling characters: The author does an excellent job of developing relatable and believable characters. Geet's vulnerabilities and insecurities are portrayed realistically, making her a character that readers can easily connect with. Shibani, despite her popularity, is shown to be equally complex and layered, adding depth to the narrative.
Intriguing plot: The story takes unexpected turns, keeping readers engaged and guessing what will happen next. The exploration of themes like LGBTQ+ identity and societal expectations adds depth and complexity to the narrative.
Engaging writing style: Nagarkar's writing is clear, concise, and engaging. The dialogue feels natural and believable, and the pacing of the story keeps readers hooked.
Weaknesses:

Some clichés: The plot relies on some familiar tropes, which might feel predictable for some readers.
Lack of character development for supporting characters: While the main characters are well-developed, the supporting characters could use more depth and complexity.

Overall:

"She Swiped Right Into My Heart" is an enjoyable and thought-provoking read, perfect for fans of contemporary romance novels. It offers a heartwarming story about friendship, love, and finding your true self. The book tackles important themes with sensitivity and honesty, making it a worthwhile read for anyone looking for a story that is both entertaining and thought-provoking.

I feel lazy to write everything down that's bad about this novel because there's a lot but the only thing you need to know about this book is that it sucked. It was badly written, characters didn't made any sense and it felt like i was reading a wattpad story written by a 12years old.

Plot : 1/10
Characters : 1/10
Enjoyment: 1/10
Do i recommend? No. It's not worth it. Honestly, this novel was so cringe, it made me read it till the end. I thought maybe something will change but no, it only got worse.

The protagonist's bestie rapes her by the way. After sabotaging a completely healthy relationship that is. Later what happens when everyone finds out about it, she goes like, " WHAT ABOUT MY FEELINGS?! ". What feeling forces you to rape your own bestie when she's drunk after a break up?? EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS NOVEL WAS SO IRRITATING. IT MADE ME ANGRY AND BOTH CURIOUS.

A lots of other things that are absolutely ick me but i will add those later.

First of all I appreciate author for realizing that he was just doing copy and paste of a clichè story and tried to pull some "shockers" in the end. But I didn't like this book. I appreciate romance. I do. But somehow clichè and typical star plus or bollywood story is hard to digest. Honestly writing is difficult and I perhaps should not brutally criticize. I dont want to but I didnt like this book.
From old Fake boyfriend to contemporary sexual orientation everything was in this book. Main lead was a girl full of insecurities who with her fake boyfriend in one go realized how much confidence she had. And then one typical representation of girls who dislike men. Another love story which blossomed from friendship..and a past of abusive relation.
There was too much masala. I want Indian authors to write good romance or perhaps I haven't read good indian romance yet.

Sandeep Nagarkar always amazes me with his content. In this book there are three main characters who are poles apart from each other. My favourite is Shibani, she is a biker by passion and Geet's BFF ,she thinks all men are pervert and a cherry on top is that she is Archly feminist. The author has done an amazing job in delineating his characters(he always does). There friendship suffers through a lot of pain but they always stood strong together. The book will make your blood run hot and wild it will also give you the taste of how a North indian lives. The climax is a bit boring but i can manage with it as the story and the message that comes out is appreciable. This book is a complete package of drama, emotions, friendship and romance.

A nice plot with twists and turns and many revelations is the peculiar thing about the novel. I am not much into romantic novels so for me the novel is okayish. This is my first book from the author and so I started reading it with no hopes and no expectations. After the completion, what themes i could note from it were that some touching as well as adult issues have been discussed along with the title of each chapter. Friendship was the main theme around which the whole story revolves and binds up the characters.

I’m sorry but this is literally the worst book I’ve ever read. I couldn’t even get past the first chapter😭
This is rated what, 13+? The words used in this book are definitely not for a 13 year old.
It has been written with so many misconceptions about how ‘youngsters’ talk or how even girls talk.
Very very poor writing. Just a mixture of a bunch of cliched stories, dialogues even. The only thing good about it was that it is written in a very simple, vulgar yet simple language.

Would not recommend to anyone.

2 pointers for the very beautiful dialogues out there, but except that the material of the novel doesn't hold together— there is no character arc as such, a few elements of shock and a very basic almost teenage drama holds the plot together! I believe the plot is well intended but it's just not my type! If anyone wants to read and experience, go ahead and please share your review!

There are few good twists at the end of however many times about this. People the story writing is good I didn't touch with the youth expiration and the way they live today's life. It's a one time read book the book did swiped right into my heart but would look for more compelling story .

Not up to that mark...
Narration was fabulous no doubt,
But the story is little bit common.
In my point of view it was not a one time read too...
3 Star because of the depth the author actually showed between the relationship of all those couples...

As the title suggest, This book is not like that. This novel has the story which we now a days seen on the movies or TV series. Friendship, Lust, Gender problem many things this story shows. But the thing that last is the "Friendship" of the main characters.
