This second edition includes more content This book is an essential how-to guide for trainees and practitioners that provides them with all the tools they need to develop writing for reflective practice.
I wholeheartedly agree with Wright when she quotes, "In essences, reflective practice what distinguish the expert therapist from the average therapist." (Bennett-Levy et al). As a seasoned counsellor educator this was my repetitive observation. J. Wright invites us to take the responsibility of guiding client writing seriously, seriously enough to examine our own perspectives and experiences using the medium of writing. Her very adequate coverage of the topic of written reflective practice is both theoretical and practical. A must read for a practitioner or educator of mental health providers who intent to use writing as intervention.
