⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Escape with Me (stand-alone). Seduction, blackmail & danger as small-town girl teams up with star football player to solve a mystery!
Escape with Me (stand-alone) is a suspenseful romance following a small-town girl, Jody Mason searching for her sister who disappeared after having moved to the city to work as an escort.
Pro football player Jason Grant needs to get laid after a bitter breakup. With woman falling at his feet he does not need to visit a sex club, but he can appreciate the anonymity and privacy it affords him.
A fantasy served on a silver platter. One misunderstanding. Hours of mindless fucking. But one night is not enough. While woman are disappearing and being murdered, Jason gets pulled in to helping Jody.
Escape with Me, told from dual POVs, is a romantic suspense filled with sex, danger, blackmail, secrets, lies and murder. The unfolding mystery kept me on my toes, but the romance was a bit predictable. It ends with reflection, healing and truth.

ARC provided to me by author Lisa Eugene in exchange for an honest review.
I always feel a fair amount of trepidation when an author asks me to review a book for them. On one hand I feel honoured they entrusted, what's essentially their "brain baby", to me and on the other I can't quite believe that people value my reviews and opinions. So, I'm always nervous reading an ARC and especially by an author I haven't read before. I'm extremely glad to say that I enjoyed this book immensely.
Lisa Eugene hit on my favourite trifecta of romance. Librarian/secretary, dirty talking and the perfect amount of spanking. Talk about my holy grail! I felt like I hit the mother lode! I love each individually and I'll always go for any book that features them but here I got them all combined and I swear my Kindle was going to combust. Along with my cheeks and panties!
But I'm getting carried away by all the sexiness. This was attention-grabbing from the first two ebook pages. Jody is a small town girl that's recently moved to New York in search of her missing sister, Ashley. In her efforts to find her sister, Jody gets a desk job at Escape. A place where any and all sexual fantasies are fulfilled and where Ashley used to work before she disappeared. Jody is soon very suspicious of everyone there. An extremely fearsome, ball buster female boss and a reluctant girl not coming in to work, all make Jody more that a little uneasy. And end up putting her in the uncomfortable position of informing a client that his fantasy won't be becoming a reality.
Enter Jason Grant. A pro footballer (American football) that loves what he does but isn't exactly happy with the consequences of fame. He feels like he can no longer have true relationships with people after his now ex-fiance used him to get money and notoriety. And while he has women falling all over him he doesn't want to do anything with them. His agent recommends Escape and he decides to go for it. When Jody tries to tell him that his Escape is cancelled Jason mistakes her for a librarian fantasy. What follows is one of the best naughty scenes I've read. I absolutely loved it!! And I was kinda disappointed we didn't get it again. We got more hot sex scenes and a pinch more of dirty talk and spanking but that first scene was, for me, the best. You can't give a perv-junkie like me what they crave and then take it away. I wanted more. But again I am a greedy perv so it's ultimately my problem and I doubt that anyone else would think of it that way.
I found the balance between suspense, humour, naughty times and drama to be perfect. It was never tipped too far in any direction. Usually with romantic suspense one aspect suffers but here they each had their time to shine and I enjoyed them all. The search for Ashley takes them down to dangerous paths and both Jody and Jason are trying to figure out what happened. The plot kept you guessing until the end. My only true complaint is that we didn't have a few years/months later, epilogue. I would have loved to see their HEA with all the details and maybe a re-enactment of how they met.
I will definitely be reading more of Lisa Eugene in the future. If you feel like a romantic suspense book I completely recommend this one. A strong heroine, a hot footballer, disappearances and murder, sizzling sex, a good twist, what else could you want?

Who wouldn’t want to have Seattle Seahawks All Pro Wide receiver, Jason Grant. He’s the hottest, sexiest, and he’s the one every woman is chasing. So who doesn’t want him. In any form. Even if that form is based on a lie claiming you indeed are not the escort he paid to have a few hours with but you pretended to be his escort and you got a couple of unforgettable hours with an amazing man.
Who would have thought that in those few stolen hours you would have had a connection so deep, deeper than anything you’ve ever had before? Who would have thought that based on a lie, you could find the one your soul wants? So what happens when you come back for more and when you request that exact escort and come face to face with her, it isn’t the one you had before.....
Here’s the thing, I loved the love story in this book. Loved watching the journey Jason & Jody have to endure to find happiness. Although predictable LOVE story, the added story lines this author gives us makes things a little bit more interesting and yes a little frustrating. We get the pleasure of getting a suspenseful story of a sister looking for her sister that has disappeared. She’s searching all or New York City and takes a job at the escort company her missing sister worked at. Not as an escort but in resources at this company.
There’s a lot to this story, and to be honest, I wanted to just get to the end cause, I’m a lover at heart and I just wanted to see the LOVE story end happily. I’m not saying I didn’t enjoy this one, cause I throughly did, I just felt the ending was rushed. I don’t know, maybe we will be getting more!!!! Hint hint Mrs. Eugene❤️😘
Finding Out Who You Are Stars * * * * Spoiler Free In 2013, I had the opportunity to review my first arc for an author. I had been on gr for awhile and had fallen hard for all of the readers who shared their impressions about what they had read. Time and time again, I read these reviews from my ever growing group of friends, directing me towards authors and their books which gave me hours of engaging reads.
An author who was brought to my attention was Lisa Eugene. She was an established writer with an active series. She was looking for readers to give feedback on her third entry to the series she was doing. Well, lucky me because I was able to be one of those readers. It was a beginning of recognizing Ms. Eugene's talent and storytelling abilities.
With Escape With Me, Lisa Eugene has continued to explore relationships, sexuality, suspense and communication. This new book has all of these elements and we are trying to figure out all of the twists and turns...and then be surprised when we are totally surprised when they are revealed. As an old mystery reader... I can testify, even I was surprised and that is something... I promise.
So as Not To Spoil your experience, I will just give you a bit of overview.
We have a small town girl who is searching for her missing twin. The twin who was the one who always was the "Bright Light". Her twin was trying to break into acting in the big bad city, NYC. When she has lost touch and the sister has disappeared, our gal goes to NYC to find her without alerting the family. She finds out where her twin had been working and gets a position without sharing she was related...she is hiding her connection. She is determined to find out what happened to her twin.
Oh, did I mention the place of business is a private sex club... yup, but our gal is not working as a player... she is an assistant in the office.
Enter a NFL superstar. His history with woman has been complicated so he doesn't trust anyone. In order to get a release, he goes to the private club expecting to have the most requested, in demand woman... the one he was told to ask for...
Only this woman is not responding to all of the urgent cell calls and the manager of the club is about to blow a gasket...She directs our gal to go to the NFL superstar and let him know his player, Angel, will be arriving shortly...When she goes into the room, she is stunned as to who this man is...and then all sorts of surprises happen...
Needless to say, Lisa Eugene has everything under control to keep you locked and loaded in your seat.. You will want to read this in one sitting... I did as I couldn't stop my enjoyment of the sensual times and my mind racing to figure out the suspense.
If you like suspense with a very hot and sensual relationship romance...Then get ready and enjoy.

Well Well Well, this one was quite the little gem; so wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did. I don't actually read much romantic suspense as it's not my favourite genre but so glad I gave "Escape With Me" a chance. So this was my first book by this particular author but it certainly won't be my last. Told in dual POV with a from the get-go interesting premise this managed to hook my attention instantly. Such an easy fast paced suspensful read; which was a hot as it was tense. "Escape With Me" managed to portray just the right amount of balance between plotline and romance. The story centres around Jody and Jason. Jody is in the city to investigate her sister's disappearance from the exclusive escort club "Escape". obtaining a job in the office under false pretences mainly so she can dig deeper into the mystery at hand; it's not long before she realises she's in a lot deeper than she can safely handle. Jason is a pro football player and when he mistakes Jody for his booked Escort Vixen sparks do ignite. But with a barrel of baggage left behind by his greedy Ex, the road to true love with these two was never going to be easy. With dodgy happenings about and things heating up on the streets as well as between the sheets, Jason pairs up with Jody to assist her in her search and also help keep her safe; while still trying to protect his own heart in the process. So this was a great read that was action packed throughout; the characters involved here were both likeable and believable. The side-cast was also fantastic adding an extra layer to the proceedings and just when I thought I had all the answers I quickly realised that was not actually the case at all. Some stuff I did guess but other bits completely shocked my socks off. This was by no means predictable and definitely kept me guessing. this would have been a full house from me but unfortunately, I disliked the ending; I thought Jason got off much too lightly and Jody should really have made the lad squirm. I also didn't like how he didn't come to Jody's defence against his manager, that well annoyed me. And finally how much importance he gave to his crappy biotch of an Ex letting her actions impact his life with a girl who had never been anything but lovely to him. That peed me off the most if I'm being honest here. But despite the above, the rest of this was grand for me and a fantastic read. This is such a fabulous addition to its genre that I'm happy to give a thumbs up to. Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC of "Escape With Me" of which I have reviewed voluntary. All opinions are entirely my own.
On hold @ 6% Yep, I didn't make it very far. If I've known this had one of my huge pet peeves I wouldn't have gotten it.
Well you know, here we have a inexperienced heroine who has only slept with 2 people and the last one didn't count because he fell asleep on top of the heroine, typical right? She works on a sex club, yeah, you read that right. Although not as a sex worker but as a manager's assistant well she goes to sex club to entertain or keep occupied one of the clients because the escort that was supposed to have sex with the client wasn't anywhere, she left.. So like I was saying she goes to the sex club and low and behold guess who finds there waiting for vixen/escort?... Did you guessed the hero? Then ding.. ding you guessed right! And instead of telling the hero the truth or telling him that he has the wrong person, she's thinking that's she deserves to have sex with the hero or something around those lines. She's hot and bothered for the hero, her knees are trembling and sex is pulsing thinking how hot the hero is, of course she's had the hots for him before she even met him in person. So she deserves that time with him because she's always has been a good girl, the girl who has always sacrificed for her family.. Yada, Yada, blah blah.
Now I don't want to finish it because all I can think about is how many times has he gone to this sex club? How many time has this Vixen or any other woman has pleasure him before the heroine? Or was this his first time? Sex clubs books are hard limit for me, This is no for me.. I feel icky just thinking about it.

What can I say except I just couldn't get enough of this book. This was so different to the usual feel of a Lisa Eugene book but was equally as good if not better than anything she has ever written.
I'm not going to rehash the blurb just because I went in blind expecting the authors usual MO that is surrounding mental health issues. When I realised that it wasn't the case I was already half way through the book and couldn't put it down.
The characters are extremely lovable and I had no problems what so ever in loving them. I did want to give Jason a kick or two a couple of times nearer the end of the book but he totally redeems himself and you can't help but swoon over him.
The plot has been well thought out and will evoke a few different emotions from the reader at different times. There is a couple of really big twists I didn't see coming so don't presume with this book because I would never have guessed what they were.
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable book that I will definitely be recommending to everyone. The only slight downfall I had with it is that I would have liked an epilogue of the future.
As an introduction to an author Escape With Me was a pretty good handshake between myself and Lisa Eugene. I am always looking to read love stories that are a little different from the norm, and meeting in a sex club in a client / escort type of capacity was definitely a first for me.
I could endure anything if it mean getting the answers I needed. Hopefully I’d live long enough…
Even more interesting was the fact that our heroine is working in Escape as an admin assistant, while secretly searching for her missing sister (whose last known location in New York was working for the club as an escort). Jody Mason and Jason Grant are pretty much from opposite ends of the scale when it comes to lifestyle as well. Especially when you take into account he is the star wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks, and she’s moved to the big smoke just to search for her sister, whilst originally from a dairy farm in the middle of nowhere, so when tasked by her boss to try and keep a client entertained until his booked escort becomes available, the last person Jody expects to meet in the room is Jason.
I was already treading on thin ice… and now I’d fractured the surface and lost my footing.
Rather than dispel the notion that she isn’t his booked escort, Jody essentially ‘takes one for the team’ with him, not such a hardship when it is your #1 sports crush doing the scoring with you. But that one encounter means more to Jason than Jody assumed, and after getting her out of a pretty sticky situation with the club owner on their second meeting its full steam ahead for this couple. It doesn’t take long for Jason to become embroiled in Jody’s search for her sister, and having the funds at his disposal to grease a few wheels in the process, the search moves along pretty quickly from that point.
She felt like heaven, like home, like the biggest win….
There was a lot to like about this book, the general story arc is one that keeps you on your toes, and the author really keeps you guessing with the suspense aspect of it, several times I’d just thought that I’d got it all figured out when another twist was added to the plot. I really liked both of the leads, Jody was tenacious, ballsy and not afraid to get her hands dirty, and Jason was alpha, overprotective, and generally an all-round nice guy. I liked them as a couple and I liked the path their relationship took in regards to its development.
Negatives, which lowered the rating for me a tad, were the fact they met in a sex club, which yes, I know is a little unreasonable as it is a big part of the story line, but it was more the fact that Jody had very little struggle with this being their first interaction. For me it was a hurdle that I struggled to get over for a large part of the story, and if I had been her, one of the big niggles in my mind as their relationship became more serious would have been the constant, will he/won’t he use one again.
I also found at times the writing to be overly flowery, it seemed to get even more overblown as the book progressed, I am all for describing things in original ways, but at points I would have been happy with a twelve word sentence giving the basics rather than a twenty four word sentence describing each and every nuance of a situation or action being taken. It worked well in the bedroom shall we say, but there were sections where it could have been pared back massively.
Still a pretty enjoyable story. I would definitely read more from this author in the future, and I thank her for the gifted copy, for which I have provided the above honest review in exchange.
Jody came to the Big Apple to find her missing sister. What this small town girl found stepping out of her comfort zone was a world of lust, love and self- expression. But would she find her sister?
Taking a desk job at a high end “gentlemen’s entertainment club, (spell that fantasy sex establishment), Jody is starting at the last place she knew her sister worked. As the assistant to a crazy catlady, she became the whipping girl when trouble rolled downhill, and the night one girl didn’t show for her “appointment,” she is sent into the lion’s den to appease/stall the customer, who just happened to be her fantasy lover, football superstar and hot as blazes Jason Grant.
Let’s say Jody took one for the team, or several, but she never expected to actually fall for the flesh and blood god before her, or to have him request her services again! (Pass the ice water, please…because, um this was H.O. T.)
As Jody digs deeper into the mysteries surrounding her sister’s disappearance, she uncovers secrets that could get her killed and an aching need for Jason.
ESCAPE WITH ME by Lisa Eugene is a mystery lover’s dream with more than a pinch of sizzling spice! Fast paced, certainly filled with intrigue and a plot with more twists than a knotted cherry, this small town girl takes on murderers, drug dealers and New York scoring a touchdown for love and lust along the way!
A quick read that provides all the passion one could want! Ms. Eugene has done a wonderful job of creating tension and HEAT with two main characters that are completely adorable.

I don't even know where to start! A suspense/romance book? Get out of here!! You have a small city/town girl like Jody who goes to NYC to find her sister. Now I have always wondered if twins actually have ESP when it comes to one another. Do they really have that special connection? Can they tell when 1 is in trouble, or hurt? Jody knew Ashley was in trouble and alive but what she didn't know was the extent of her job in NYC! One lie after the other led Jody to Escape. Now Escape isn't your ordinary run of the mill call girl place. Oh no siree bob!! Jason Grant a big time NFL player finds himself playing an escape with Jody. Now Jody is a fill in. However their chemistry if off the chart. You thought they knew one another and just were pretending to be strangers. That is how well their bodies read one another. Any who........One thing leads to another and 1 mystery after another Jody learns all these things about Ashley and what her real job at Escape was, Jason learns a thing or two about the people he has come to befriend as well. Jason helps Jody with her search, like I said 1 mystery after the other and BOOM they figure out what and who and why! It's incredible how all the lies were kept and who did what. The person you thought was responsible isn't and vise versa. I was like wait a minute are you serious here?? It was defiantly a page turner, the sex was hot and steam and off the charts as well.
Escape with me was not the first book from this author that I read, previously I read Grayson and I loved it. So when the author approached me with her request to read this book it was easy to agree.
What I did not expect .... the PLOT ... I did not read the official Blurb I only knew what the author told me and from that I would have never expected this story to be so full of suspense. The author created a net of lies and deceive. She used some plot strings that were very cliche and combined them with unusal twists and turns. Some things I guessed - one or two I did not understand but in total the plot was intriguing.
As I did not expect this much suspense and I was almost overwhelmed in some moments. Because sometimes I felt that I left the path of romance and headed straight to something out of the pen of John Grisham ... Therefore I struggeled a little with the developing relationship between the leading characters.
The setting is more than intriguing and the character development is interesting. Therefore I can really recommend this book especially for readers that crave suspense as author keeps you guessing on who is friend and who is foe until the last moments before its revealed.
Unfortunately I can not give this book a full 5 stars because compared with Grayson I did not feel the same emotional involvement with the characters. And I need to feel strong emotions to "allow" myself to give a 5 star rating. (meaning I have to be either crying ugly or laughing out loud).
I was fortunate enough to be given an ARC by the author. I have read all the books Ms. Eugene has written, and I have never been disappointed. This was another remarkable read. An erotic, romantic suspense novel, which I hated to put down, once I started. The story is about an unlikely, but delicious encounter between Jody, a young, innocent naïve woman, searching for her missing, twin sister, and Jason, an NFL superstar, who is relationship phobic, after being betrayed by his last girlfriend. Why unlikely? Well, they meet at an exclusive sex club, where Jody discovered her sister had been working, before she disappeared. Jody takes it upon herself to go undercover, as a business manager at the club, and Jason finds himself utilizing the club due to his distrust of relationships. By a twist of fate, Jody finds herself stalling for one of the club girls. Surprisingly, she finds herself face-to-face with the object of all her sexual fantasies...Jody has been fangirling over Jason since she was a teen, and when Jason mistakes her for his club girl, Jody just can't keep herself from this extraordinary, sensual opportunity. This is when the plot thickens(all puns intended), and this is just the beginning of a fated relationship between this unlikely couple.
This book is very well-written, and the characters are well-developed, with an emotional dimension, that makes the romantic angst believable, intriguing, and relatable. The emotional baggage they both bring to this unforeseen relationship lead them both down a path of self-discovery, and personal growth. Additionally, the chemistry and sensual encounters between these two star-crossed lovers were intense, and incredibly sensual and erotic-you might want to keep a cool drink handy, and perhaps, some batteries*wink, wink, nudge, nudge.*
To add more interest to the story, there is quite a compelling and complex mystery intertwined with the romance. The mystery is regarding Jody's missing sister, and strange happenings associated with the sex club, known as Escape. This captivating undercurrent kept me riveted to my Kindle, trying to figure out all the nefarious players, who seemed to be around every corner, creating drama, and anticipation.
This book was a wild ride full of ardent passion, sensual steam, relationship turmoil, emotional upheaval, and intriguing suspense and I enjoyed every minute of it. So waste no time, and when it officially releases in June, get a copy. Thanks again to the author for the ARC! Can't wait for your next book!

"I thought I had everything, but without you I have nothing."
Synopsis: Jody is "undercover" at a sex club to get answers on what happened to her sister. When one of the escorts is unable to service a client, Jody steps in and gets the surprise of her life. Her major sports crush (Jason Grant) is standing in front of her and she has to keep her fangirling in check in order to satisfy his fantasy.
After a mind blowing time with his escort, Jason is livid when he finds out Jody is not who he thought. When he demands an explanation she reveals how she ended up in the situation with him and he agrees to help her uncover the mystery of her sister's disappearance.
My Thoughts: The following are my thoughts about this book: General: - Setting: New York
Characters: - Jason: - wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks NFL team - "I do a lot of work with organizations that gets drugs off the streets, and I support politicians who make that an agenda.”
- The following words/phrases were used to describe Jason: Graceful athlete, Heisman winner, tired, alone,
- Jody (24): - Originally from a small town in Michigan, a degree in business management, has a twin sister who is missing - "I’d always been the sister who sat on the sidelines, who cheered and offered support, but never took part in the game. I’d been the one to stay at home to help my family. I’d sacrificed, put others first. I was never a priority. There’d been so many missed opportunities, so many dreams stifled, so many regrets."
- The following words/phrases were used to describe Jody: beautiful, strong, resilient, courageous, determined, has a strong sense of family, responsible, loyal, gorgeous, sexy as hell
Story Thoughts: - A pro football player spending so much time out of state during preseason didn’t seem plausible - The bad person was someone I suspected but the “helpful” person was a surprise. - The NFL does not have “finals”.....they have playoffs. So I guess there was no research done on the sport the main character played. 😏 - The grovel wasn’t good enough, IMO - There were some red herrings thrown in to keep the reader guessing. And, although I appreciated the attempt, once the truth was revealed it just resulted in more questions for me and parts of the story didn't make sense - Once the puzzle pieces came together, I found holes in the reason for the sister‘s “disappearance”. And, because that was the backbone of the story, everything else just didn't tie together for me in a neat little bow.
Overview: - POV: Dual POV - Tropes: romantic suspense, sports star with "normal" girl - H likable? Yes - h likable? Yes - h virgin? No - First time they kiss: 9% - First time they sleep together: 8% - First time they say I Love You Jody said it 85%. Jason said it 98% - steamy? Yes. They have many bedroom scenes - OW/OM drama? Not directly, although Jason's hesitation to be in a long term relationship was directly tied to his past relationship and "Veronica" was mentioned often and part of the story. - H/h cheat? No - Time apart? Yes. 4 months - Did I skip pages? No - Big secrets? 24% Jody tells Jason her reasons for being at Escape - Did I cry? No - Did I laugh? No - Did I swoon 🥰? not really - Cliffhanger? No - HEA? Yes - Epilogue? No - Recommend? This is a fast paced book with danger, questions, secrets, lies, murder, mystery and some steamy bedroom scenes. I had a few nitpicks, but on the whole this kept me entertained.
Quotes "Escape, an elite sex club that catered to the most notorious and powerful men. For a king’s ransom, any wish could be granted, any desire fulfilled. But things happened here that couldn’t be explained. People disappeared, lives were erased, and fear glazed the eyes of every skittish employee."
"The ex-contortionist and former pageant queen was in extremely high demand. It was said she had magic in her vagina, and somewhere in the building was a man who’d paid three times my yearly salary to see his rabbit disappear."
“You can’t quit Escape! No one quits Escape! It’s not allowed.”
"We were all scared at Escape, all watching our backs for the danger we knew lurked close behind."
"We’ve seen too much, know too much. The men we service are powerful, some very dangerous. They confide in us, things that can never be revealed. We can never leave and live normal lives."
***Spoiler Free review*** Escape With Me is a standalone, contemporary romance filled with suspense and mystery and a lot of sexy times! A web of secrets and lies is woven. The only question is – who will be the one caught in the web?
Jody Mason is a small town girl who is on a mission to find her twin sister who left home in pursuit of her big city dreams. Jody places herself undercover and infiltrates her sister Ashley’s last place of employment. Things are not as they seem and the plot thickens!
Jason Grant is the Seattle Seahawks wide receiver. He is recovering from a broken heart and finds it hard to trust anyone after being betrayed by his ex-girlfriend. Jason is very alpha but kind and caring too. He is also sexy & H.O.T.! Jody considers herself the plain, boring and dependable twin.
Jason and Jody meet under false pretenses but the sparks fly! They connect on so many levels. Their chemistry is undeniable. Jason is a force to be reckoned with on and off the field! Their story flew from page to page. Lies and deception are everywhere. The pieces of the puzzle finally come together and I was a bit surprised at some of the revelations.
I enjoyed Escape With Me. It was not what I expected based on the blurb but I still really enjoyed it. I would definitely read more from Lisa Eugene.
When Jody is mistaken for an escort by her football idol, Jason Grant, does she give him the "escape" he's at Escape for, or simply tell him his real escort is not available? Are you crazy?! Of course she gives him a good, no, GREAT, time and they both leave feeling seriously satisfied. But when Jason gets caught up in Jody's search for her twin sister, they can't help falling into bed again and feelings start developing. Feelings Jason is not prepared for, nor does he want to admit to, and Jody just knows she's going to get her heart broken. And she just may lose her life, too, as her search for her sister turns dangerous and the bodies start disappearing and piling up.
I liked Escape with Me. It's sexy, super sexy, and the suspense and mystery make the developing relationship even more interesting than it would have been on its own. I wanted to smack Jason more than once for being a typically obtuse man, but at heart he was a good guy. Jody was easy to connect to - sweet and so earnest in her search for the sister whose shadow she'd always been eclipsed by. I do wish her relationship with her sister had been given a bit more detail at the end, but maybe a story is coming for Ashley that would give their relationship a more rounded feel. Still, the way it's written, I still really liked it and look forward to more from this author.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Copy received for honest review Jody travels from her small town to NY to find her missing sister. What she finds in secrets, murder and Jason Grant. The two lovers form a relationship that is off the charts with chemistry: Jody is headstrong, loyal and fiercely protective of those she loves. She will stop at nothing to find her sister even if it endangers her life. Jason is a star receiver in the NFL. He has commitment and trust issues. A bad relationship has made him a little gun shy. The two lovers meet at a sex club under false pretenses and things get pretty hot immediately. The story is filled with mystery and plot twists that will keep you turning the pages. Great, strong characters with a good whodunnit twist at the end. We get a sweet HEA:

Jody’s sister used to work at Escape, and she was determined to find any information to locate her. While there, Jody meets Jason Grant, a professional football player. They have a really steamy encounter, and Jason can't stop thinking about her.
I was consistently trying to figure out who took Jody’s sister. There were so many twists and turns, and the confusion of who did it continued to grow. I was completely sucked into the storyline and could not put my kindle down! A great suspenseful romance with a good amount of steamy sex scenes!
ESCAPE WITH ME by Lisa Eugene is a complex and unique read. This story has mystery, suspense and romance – my kind of romance read. Jody is a hometown girl from a small town who is looking for her missing sister in NYC. She has to start looking where her sister was last seen-a gentleman’s club. Into the picture enters Jason Grant who is a superstar on the football field and who Jody secretly wants in her dreams. Their chemistry is hot and intense. Jody and Jason make a great couple and the story popped and was a roller coaster ride of emotions.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
Hold on to your seat! This is a fantastic suspenseful romance. Lisa Eugene is a fantastic writer and will suck you into her work. I literally read this book in a day. I didn't want it to end. There's no way you'll be able to guess what happens next. It's told in both Jody and Jason's POVs.
This was a well-written fast paced story. The characters were realistic and believable. It has enough mystery and suspense to keep you guessing until the end. I enjoyed reading about the first encounter between Jody, who is undercover as an office assistant in an exclusive sex club and Jason, the NFL superstar. They are both loveable and their chemistry was very sexy and erotic.
I highly recommend this book to lovers of mystery, suspense and romance that sizzles.
Thanks to the author for an ARC of this book for an honest opinion.
This was definitely a suspenseful read. I didn't really expect to suspect the hero with this one, but I found myself talking to myself trying to figure out what happened! I enjoyed the ending, as it was a good surprise! I recommend if you like books where you don't know who to trust.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.
Omg!! Thrilling doesn’t begin to describe this book!! Hot, page-turning, edge of your seat, clear your afternoon and order in dinner-this book had me holding my breathe from page one! And the twists never stop!
Jody gets a undercover job where her sister used to work when her sister goes missing this is where she meets hot stuff Jason on one of her under covers. But he actually helps her and they get close but things happen and they are trying to find out why?
** Note: I received a complimentary copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. **
Escape with Me started off hot when our heroine, Jody met our hero, Jason. This book has an interesting main plot with a good amount of love story mixed in. There were a couple times that I thought I had the mystery figured out only to find out I was wrong. The true “who-dun-it” was a shock to me because it someone I never suspected. The heroine and hero are both stubborn at times to the point you wanted to smack them. Overall, this was a good book. Had the right amount of love and suspense.
Once again, a big shout-out of thanks to Lisa Eugene (“Ms. Eugene”) for advancing me a copy of her new novel, “Escape With Me” in exchange for an honest review. I’ll try my best not to reveal anything because it’s that good.
Having already read some of her novels, a few I absolutely loved, “Steel My Heart” and “Keeping Secrets” come to mind. When Ms. Eugene contacted me to read her latest novel, there was no hesitation, and why would there be. We’re talking about an erotic, sensual, sizzling romance between two people that share off-the-wall “hot, hot, hot” chemistry. Ms. Eugene goes one-step further by intertwining a story of sheer suspense. Yep, sex and suspense - sounds good to me. Kudos to Ms. Eugene.
I liked both the H/h, Jason and Jody and the fact that they shared some hot chemistry. Regardless, they both seem to be carrying a lot of “baggage”. It would be nice to read about someone who doesn’t have the weight of the world on their shoulders. Doesn’t help with all the lying, but hey, that’s me.
Filled with sex and suspense, you learn more about both protagonists and how they came to be. Jason is a tall, sex-on-a-stick, gorgeous man. As for Jody, though beautiful, I thought her to be a little naïve at times, so much so that it was a little hard to believe that she could just walk into a sex club, get a job there and then of course, have her way with her fantasy man. Speaking of which, I thought it was a little too convenient that the first man she comes across at the club is Jason, the one athlete she dreamed of through her teen years. Yes, I know, it’s a story.
“Escape With Me” is a well-written novel that got me a little hot and bothered; it’s a story of eroticism and suspense that flows from beginning to end, with likeable characters. So why four stars and not five? While I’m no prude and love to read (well-written) erotic novels, I’ve never been a fan of “sex clubs”. If I come across a novel and the synopsis reveals that the story revolves around a sex club, I move on. There are some of you who love them and to you I say go for it, but I’m not one of them. I always thought (and still do) you can experience erotic, sexual pleasure anywhere else but a sex club. I’m not judging anyone. What people do in their private lives is their business. I’m just not comfortable reading about sex clubs. But don’t let that stop you from reading this sexy novel. It’s one I highly recommend. Since I don’t want to reveal too much more, I’ll end it here. Happy reading!
Jody Mason is a small town girl who walks straight into the lion’s den for the sake of finding out what happened to her missing sister, Ashley.
Jason Grant is an NFL superstar with all the strings that it entails. Do women see him as a real person and want him? Or are they drawn by the money? The fame? The perks that come with being on his arm.
I found it so interesting that though Ashley (the apple of her parent’s eye) has disappeared, Jody has no qualms about taking off to New York City to find her. Under the guise of being an assistant at Club Escape and using a fake name - Jody determines to do whatever it takes to find her twin. “Dancer” Vixen may be the key to finding Ashley. Jody is called in to stall Vixen’s client because she’s MIA. To her utter shock and amazement, the client turns out to be Jason Grant. Sports superstar and Jody happens to be his number #1 fan! Jason thinks they set him up with the sexy librarian scenario when Ashley walks into the room. She decides to keep her cover, she’ll go through with the “escape” and with the huge crush she has on Jason it’s a win win. Thing is – it’s never easy when feelings become involved. Not to mentions lies, upon lies, told to maintain a façade that very quickly starts to crumble. In the middle of the mayhem, Jody finds the strength she didn't know was within her. Time and time again, we discover that love trumps all.
Jody soon discovers that Ashley is not the only one missing. More than one may be dead. Can Jason really be as good he seems? The growing chemistry and feelings between them say yes but will the ghost from the past continue to haunt them. Not to mention, is Ashley still alive? A sex club owner, bad men with guns, politicians and an NFL superstar all surround Jody. Who can she trust?
I’ll give you a hint. Things are not always what they seem. The bogeyman doesn’t always look it. Escape with Me has a very interesting plotline. I’m glad to see that Lisa Eugene continues to expand and grow into other genres. If you like mystery and suspense with a protective male lead and sizzling chemistry then you will like Escape with Me. I did.
