I found the life of Alan Marshall just amazing to read about. Harry Marks has done a brilliant job of filling in the gaps in my knowledge about this prolific Australian author. He presents Alan as a man passionate about writing and gives a great picture of the complications that his physical disability caused him..
As a person who had Polio as a small child, albeit 50 years after Alan, I was stunned to read some of the treatment he suffered at the hands of unthinking "friends" and acquaintances.
Alan was inspirational to me a this book has done nothing to dim my admiration. Thank you Harry Zmarks - a biography well written.
