Do You Feel It Too?

Rate this book
For urban-legend hunter and television host Gabe Powers, it’s business—investigate the most notorious haunted places in Savannah. Then he meets his new sound engineer, a dewy Georgia peach who may just turn this gig into (im)pure pleasure. All it takes is one night for them to conjure floor-rattling, wall-banging moans…but they’re not from the ghosts.

Blame the rippling abs, the cocky swagger, the granite jawline, the whole muscle-bulging package, but Gabe is bringing out good-girl Lily Jameson’s dirty side. Damn her code-of-conduct contract—this isn’t just a molten-hot fling.

There’s just one kink in the relationship they’ve been soon they’ll be going their separate ways. Lily’s home is in Savannah, and Gabe is a globe-trotter at heart. For them to be together, they’ll both have to upend their so-very-different worlds and face their fears in the process. And suddenly things don’t feel so Georgia peachy keen at all.

Do You Feel It Too is the newest book by Nicola Rendell. I have loved Nicola’s books from the very first one I read. Every time I read a new book, I swear that it is my new favorite. Well, this time I really mean it. This book! There is just something special about it. I can’t put my finger on just what it is. Only that I loved every page, every word in it. I pretty much fell in love with Gabe and Lily right from the start. But somewhere around half way, Gabe does something that made my love for him grow so big I could hardly contain it. This is going to be one of those reviews that I struggle to find all the right words to let you know how fantastic this book really is!

Gabe Powers is sort of an accidental tv star. He never really meant for this career to happen. But a chance meeting with his now manager set him on the path he is now enjoying, and enjoying it he is. Gabe hosts the show, The Powers of Suggestion. He travels the world searching out urban legends. Gabe’s current project is researching the ghosts of Savannah, Georgia. Only it’s not a ghost encounter that set Gabe’s world off it’s axis, it was a collision, literally, with a beautiful woman.

“I’d spent my whole career avoiding dangerous situations. I get within ten feet of Lily and it’s one disaster after another. She was like the Bermuda Triangle.”

Lily Jameson has lived in Savannah all her life. She lives in the top half of a huge house, the bottom half inhabited by her sister and adorable baby nephew. Lily has her own sound engineer business. Lily rarely dates. One of the biggest reasons for that is her roommate, an African gray parrot named The General, she inherited from her grandmother. This parrot is as much a star in this book as Gabe and Lily. This parrot is so amazing, is no ordinary parrot, and also loves his Lily VERY much!

african gray parrot

Gabe and Lily’s first encounter was a bit uncomfortable we could say, for Gabe at least. But it set them on a course that neither of them expected. The chemistry between these two was explosive from the start! Gabe knew he had to explore what this was. He couldn’t get her out of his mind. When Gabe’s manager decides he needs to hire a sound engineer to help him while in Savannah, he’s thrilled for the excuse to spend more time with Lily.

“Looking at her was exactly like that, like you thought your mind was playing a trick on you, like whatever you saw was too good to be real.”

Things escalate very quickly between these two and let me tell you, Gabe is one hot ghost hunter. He is definitely the boss in the bedroom but he also brings out a side of Lily she never knew she had, a dirty talking, dirty girl side! When Lily looks at Gabe, she can’t believe he is interested in her. He’s the most beautiful man she’s ever seen. He has thousands of women fans lusting after him. But he seems to only have eyes for her. But, he’s only here temporarily. Then he will go back to his crazy life, and she’ll stay here where she’s always been.

Sexy

This book hit about every mark for me that makes a book amazing. It was sweet, sexy as heck, had humor, characters that you won’t soon forget, but mostly, it just grabbed my heart right from the beginning and never let go. Gabe was just a dream. He was all bossy alpha but was also about the sweetest man I have ever read about. This man makes the word “swoon” seem insignificant. And Lily, she was so sweet, but also had just enough spine as well. Neither of these two were looking for love, but recognized in each other that thing that was missing from their lives. What happens, though, when their time is over? How could they ever find a way to make their lives work together?

This book needs more than five stars! It needs ALL the stars! So, Nicola Rendell, you have done it again and stolen my heart. I don’t know how you do it over and over again but I am so glad you do. Thank you for another wonderful book.

“I never knew what I wanted. And then I met you”

Gabe was not only a gorgeous celeb, living life on the edge, investigating myths, travelling the world, and being a one-man storytelling crew. He was also humble and sweet and kind and so freaking sexy. He was what book boyfriends are made of! 😍

My Gabe! 💙

There was so much to love about this book.
❥ Gabe and Lily's first awkward encounter. It was the perfect way to show the personality of these characters and it was an entertaining meeting for sure.
❥ Every description Lily gave of Gabe. I tried so hard to find an image online to fit what I pictured in my mind (see above). He sounds so freaking delicious and I would welcome the opportunity to lick all eight of his abs!

❥ That first sex scene... let me just say that I couldn't imagine a hotter coming together for these people. Talk dirty to me!
❥ There was Lily's quick wit, her warm heart, Gabe's incredible awesomeness and so much more!

I only had one issue with this story. One little issue that bothered me despite my best attempts to shrug it off.

I haven't found a story by this author that I haven't loved yet. Nicola Rendell writes romcom books that I can easily picture on the big screen. I wonder who they would choose to play Gabe. He'd have to be absolutely gorgeous and charming and warm and endearing. Because that's exactly who Gabe was and I can't wait for you to meet him!

In the past, this author's books have been a little hit or miss for me, but the whole "ghost hunter" angle of this one intrigued me. And, I enjoyed it. It was fairly low angst, insta-love read. The writing was well done. It was well paced. The plot was engaging. It had humor. It had little bits of interesting history sprinkled throughout. I would have liked a bit more sex, but the scenes we get were suitably hot. There was no OW or OM drama. Neither were virgins. It had some great secondary characters. The parrot was especially funny, and I hope Daisy and Ivan get an HEA of their own.

Gabe was pretty much a perfect hero. Maybe a bit TOO perfect as I found it a little hard to believe he would go from this guy whose whole life was traveling around (and him loving it) to him being perfectly happy staying in one place for the heroine after just ONE week of knowing each other. The author even implies this by having him be disappointed at missing out on chances to do some things he has always wanted to do. Hence why I loved Lily and totally got where she was coming from. Considering his brief look of disappointment about the Scotland trip, I would have had my doubts as well. Last, it was all wrapped up in an OK ending. It was sweet for sure but felt a little abrupt to me.

My last few reads were a bit heart breaking, so I was looking for something light and fluffy. Do You Feel It Too was just what I was looking for, and I absolutely loved it.

Gabe Powers is an urban legend/ghost hunter and is in Savannah researching ghost, he runs into the sweet hometown girl Lily Jameson. From the very beginning, their connection was immediate, and very believable. I absolutely loved these two together, and Gabe was absolutely perfect, maybe a little too perfect. Lily was funny and sweet, and was crazy about Gabe. But what is going to happen when Gabe has to go off on the next adventure?

If you are looking for something sweet, with no llama drama, or OW/OM issues, give this one a go.

What a really cute couple! This was a fun and light story with very, likable characters and a funny parrot. I borrowed the audiobook on KU and really enjoyed CJ Bloom and Rock Engle’s performance. Special mention of Cj’s voice because it was so cute and fit what I envisioned for the heroine perfectly.

Do You Feel It Too? is a rom com. It is funny. With many mishap and a parrot. Miss Rendell done a good job bringing the comedy out. The chemistry between Gabe and Lily is also fun.

What I want to see more is the romance. Because the focus on the comedy, Miss Rendell forgot to bring the romance aspect up front.

Overall, I had a great time listening to the audiobook.

“Take it from an old man, Gabriel. Everything else will come and go. But love will change your world if you let it.”

Message to anyone looking for a great contemporary romance with a fun theme: go read this!
Oh man, I loved and enjoyed this so so much! Gabe and Lily’s story totally gave me fuzzy feelings.
I really can't put my finger on what exactly I loved so much, I just laughed out loud so many times and I loved their character development and interactions.

I loved the whole "ghost hunter" theme as well! That, and the beautiful cover ofcourse, were what drew me to this book in the first place. Gorgeous Gabe and lovely Lily just sealed the deal. Sparks were flyingggg!
By the way, I need a Gabe Powers in my life!

Overview:
Gabe (39), host of a popular TV show. Lily, owns a small Sound Engineering company. I would classify as insta-love. It has a HEA and an epilogue.

Gabe:
Host of a TV show. "Actually, my jam was hosting my own show investigating urban legends, mysteries, and generally strange shit around the world. The Powers of Suggestion, hosted by yours truly, Gabe Powers" . He travels a lot with his show but he also bounced around as a kid so he got used to no place really feeling like home. He is patient, kind, inquisitive, and hot. He isn't a Hollywood manwhore and is actually looking for "the one". People recognize him, but his celebrity status has not gone to his head and he's a great down to earth guy.

Lily:
Lily has lived in Savannah all her life, so she has deep roots. She started her own audio company and has an extremely close relationship with her sister and nephew. Lily is sweet and caring and takes pleasures in the small things in life. She is a positive person who likes to keep a "gratitude jar" as a reminder of the things that are good in her life. She does have one major issue...she has Aviophobia, which is an extreme fear of flying. She has tried many things, but can't quite get over that fear and has never flown in a plane. She has a "roommate" that takes on a life of his own in this story. The General, an African gray parrot.....OMG so funny and such a refreshing departure from the typical animal in books. "Unhand my lady, you swarthy villain! Unhand her this instant!” ROFL!! This parrot had me laughing every time it was in a scene. Loved it!!

Together:
Gabe is in Savannah on a ghost hunting assignment when he spots Lily. He is instantly attracted to her and makes his way over to her so they can meet. However, the first meeting certainly doesn't go as planned. LOL. "The mic stand. She’d coldcocked me in the face with the goddamned mic stand." Then he gets hit in the shins and eventually poked in the eye. Poor Gabe. "What the hell was going on here? I’d spent my whole career avoiding dangerous situations. I get within ten feet of Lily and it’s one disaster after another. She was like the Bermuda Triangle." They were so cute together. Gabe is a sexy, alpha male who knows how to bring a girl out of her shell in the bedroom.

Overall:
I absolutely loved Gabe and these two are really great together. They are sarcastic (in a funny way) and the book was a pretty positive, light read. Not a lot of heavy drama (just a little toward the end). The story had a good pace and flowed well. I was engaged throughout the whole book and the humor really added to the overall story. Secondary characters were good and didn't detract in any way. Chemistry was great and they had some pretty rockin' bedroom scenes. There was no OW/OM drama. No secrets, lies or deceit.

Reading the synopsis I thought this would have some pretty significant ghost encounters, but nothing really came of the ghost aspect. Just one little item. So for how much it was talked about throughout the book, I was surprised there wasn't more actual ghost happenings. I wasn't looking to read a book about ghosts, but it was mentioned a lot throughout the story so I was expecting some big reveal with the audio equipment or something really startling and that just didn't happen. So, that part of the story fell a little flat.

Overall, I would recommend. The General stole the show (in my opinion) and his scenes alone make the book worth reading. Add in a hunky hero and a funny, sweet heroine and you get a really enjoyable read.

Quotes:
“Did you model before you got into television?”
Oh, Lily, Lily, Lily. I clutched the top step of the ladder, hooking my fingers over the plastic cap.
"That was supposed to be an inside thought. I think maybe I need a snack.”

“Got a lot of experience bludgeoning strangers?”
She blinked thoughtfully. “They teach it at the Y,” she said without missing a beat. “Every Tuesday after Hairspray as Offensive Weapon.”

“Lily. That’s just a parrot.”
“And Jaws was just a shark.”

“Behind every beautiful woman, there’s a dude just happy to be there.”

"I like my life, but I like it better when I think of you in it.”

“I wanted to be the cherry on his sundae, not the pebble in his shoe.”

“If I had a gratitude jar, the only thing in it would be your name.”

“Everything else will come and go. But love will change your world if you let it.”

Thanks to the author for providing a copy of this book via Netgalley

I loved this book, i loved this couple, i love just everything about this book!!! And they both were not some broken people, this days i see a lot books with "broken" people plot. So this story has some freshness in it.
Sometimes you just feel it, you know it, right?
Ok, so this hero was a famous adventure tv program presenter. He saw this girl, and it was a love from first sight! This couple had this chemistry between them, aaaahhhh!
I loved Gabe, his humor, his way to care about Lily, his alpha way with her... MMMM! So hot!!!
I liked Lily a lot: she was not virgin (!!!), she had some relationships before. She was a good person, she had this light about her, everyone liked her a lot. She was not a doormat!!!
Safety:
No cheating! NO OP scenes! Both NON virgins! Both had relationships before! Not safe sex (sex first, asking about safety second... AAGGGG, do not like it!!!))).

Gabe Powers, 39, hosts a ghost and urban legend TV show. While filming in Savannah, Georgia, he spots local audio technician Lily Jameson, 35, and is instantly smitten.

“There were a lot of mysteries in the world, but the way I felt about her wasn’t one of them.”

I adored how Gabe was pretty much all in once he met Lily. He never wavered on his feelings, and he was upfront with her. He also had some smooth moves.

And then he totally rocked a swoonworthy date. Gabe was an easy-going good guy. And it was refreshing that while he’d toured the world and had a full and exciting life, he wasn’t a manwhore or player.

“The truth was that just like I’d been hunting for urban legends all these years, I’d also been trying to find the one.”

While I side-eyed their lack of safe sex practices considering they’d just met and had a time limit on their relationship, their evident chemistry helped smooth that hiccup, and their sultry encounters were pretty smoking hot.

“Flesh to flesh. Head to G-spot.”

“I was torn—part of me wanted to ravage her, part of me wanted to worship her.”

This story has steam; it has romance; and it also has humor. The General had me laughing out loud. He was a fabulous comedic edition to the tale. I couldn’t get enough of him.

And then combine The General and Gabe…and Gabe and Ivan...well those pairing catapulted Gabe to total book boyfriend status. I love when the hero is put in a ‘challenging’ position and he shines.

The only part I didn’t care for is when he thinks about getting Lily pregnant and she seems to get caught up in it too. I’m not a fan of coitus claiming like that; it’s too easy to get lost in the moment. Deciding to have a child should be a thought-out discussion between two consenting, committed adults when they aren’t in the throws of passion.

Never the less, while their relationship progressed pretty fast, I didn’t have a hard time picturing them long term because there are plenty of scenes that showed them working together, which is essential to a lasting couple. There wasn’t any kind of miscommunication, and Gabe was supportive and encouraging of Lily while feeling and finding something with her that he hadn’t before. For the most part, the strengths of their relationship shined through. This is a great ‘love as a journey’ romance that avoids many tired plot clichés and character stereotypes.

Finally, I should note that the premise with Gabe’s myths and mysteries job (an original one at that) attracted me to this story. I’m not a PNR reader (and this isn’t a PNR title), but I really enjoyed the way the filming was integrated into the romance and the settings captured the mood and incorporated local lore.

It was a fun angle and everything comes together nicely. All in all, this story has an engaging premise and likeable characters. Told via Gabe and Lily’s alternating first person POV, it’s a mostly light-hearted, feel good romance. I closed the book wanting more of their adventures and more of the General!

A special thanks to Kara for recommending this author.

This was such a fun, sexy read! I absolutely loved all the crazy antics that this couple as well as the people and animals around them got up to.

Gabe has a tv program that covers unexplained paranormal reports. While covering some of the haunted sites in Savannah, he sees the most amazing thing he has ever seen before…Lily. With every intention of getting to know her, their first meeting begins with quite a smash. Lily doesn’t recognize Gabe for the entertainment persona he is and he finds that even more refreshing than her smile and her sparkling personality. Soon, they are investigating together, having wild and dirty talking sex and falling helplessly in love.

Until the conflict between this couple arose, I was constantly grinning from ear to ear. Lily and Gabe were just so cute together. Add in one crazy animal and I was laughing out loud. And dear lord, my ovaries exploded when Gabe was left to babysit Lily’s nephew. This book was just one freaking amazing scene after another all leading up to a heartbreaking moment that made me want to weep.

I absolutely adored Gabe and truly wondered how he would ever be at a place that would give Lily confidence that he truly wanted to be with her. She has a reason to mistrust but her fears over their relationship in regards to his job was very real and certainly believable. There were a few different ways this conflict could’ve been resolved but I was so very happy at the direction this author allowed this couple to take. Especially Lily. I think she may be my new “hero”ine.

This is a fast paced read with extreme heat and plenty of dirty talk that will light your ereader on fire. With some background on the sites they visit around Savannah I felt completely pulled into the location and life of this couple. Ending with a sweet and satisfying epilogue, you’ve got the perfect afternoon read. I can’t help but recommend this book to anyone who likes their rom-com laced with a bit of angst.

"Everything else will come and go. But love will change your world if you let it."
Dose of old-man wisdom. ~ Mr. MacGregor.

Right from the start the easy flow of the story pulled me in. Gabe and Lily were such sweet and likable characters. I loved their instant attraction, the easy back and forth banter and how they could so easily go from silly to scorching in a matter of seconds.

This was definitely an insta-love story and it worked to perfectly because both MCs were so multi-dimensional. It was easy to love Gabe and Lily :)

Gabe is a globe trotting myth buster. He travels the world investigating legends and monsters, every day a different part of the world and a different adventure. But he's always believed there was someone out there for him. And when he shows up to Savanah and meets his quirky sound tech, Lily, it's like he's fallen through a rabbit hole. Things are crazy and wild and unpredictable but also fun and freeing and perfect.

Looking at her made one word come to mind. I'd learned it in Germany when I was filming there. Fernweh. The feeling of being homesick for a place - or a person - that you had not yet called home.

This was a cute romance between a small town girl and a very down to earth celebrity. I loved the mix of sweet and tender moments spiced up with some really sexy debauchery. There is no other word for what Gabe and Lily get up to when they are both bitten by the love bug. Game was the kind of favorite hero that never waivers or doubts his feelings. He sees Lily, he wants Lily, he falls in love and fights for his Lily. He was a really great romancelandia hero.

I liked her when she was being soft, I liked her when she was being wild, and I even liked her when she as being slightly indignant. She pushed all my buttons in exactly the right way.

I equally loved Lily. She was such a fun character with her quirks and her optimism. She brought a lot to the story and watching her with her sister and her nephew, too cute! The crazy opinionated parrot, the General was a bit OTT for me but to each their own. Overall, this was a highly entertaining read and it pulled me out of my reading slump. Very happy I had a chance to read this!

Favorite Line:
"You deserve to be loved senseless, Lily. And I want to be the man to give you that. I never knew what I wanted. And then I met you. ~ Gabe

Behind every beautiful woman, there's a dude just happy to be there.

Memorable Moments: Their first meeting! Priceless and hilarious :)

Would I recommend? Yes, it was 100% safe and had truly likable characters that you will root for.

This is one of those Kindle Unlimited that you can listen to on Audible for free. Unfortunately, I chose that option and it ruined the book for me. Okay, not that alone. I mean, I have a hard time with slapstick anyway so that might have tanked if had it continued eventually, anyway. But the narration was horrid. Okay fine, the narration was competent. Sort of. Acting wise, anyway. But this is set in Savannah and Lily is a native girl with the cultural heritage she actively buys into. And neither narrator even tried to give her an accent.

I'm sorry, but I'm a complete sucker for a good Southern accent and having the setting without it is just. Well. Wrong. Who half-asses their audiobooks like that? Answer: Amazon. This is one of their imprints. And that just baffles me.

So I tried to switch to straight-up Kindle, but it didn't work. At that point the parrot was having conversations with people, including extending and responding in contextual, personality-filled ways and I lost all connection to the narrative. And I haven't even mentioned the pervy, skeevy stuff, yet. It wasn't that bad, honestly, but it was a little over the top and combined with everything else, I'm out.

I'll just close with a note that this is very much a personality-based reaction. If you like your humor broad and don't mind having story elements bend to support that, then you'll probably find this funny and interesting. And no, I don't mean anything backhanded in that. It's just a different taste, though one I don't enjoy.

You know that old cliché about meeting someone’s eyes from across a crowded room and boom it’s love? Gabe has a similar experience when he first sees Lily. Except it is outside and there is kind of a boom but not in the way he expected.

Gabe Powers is the star of his own reality TV show, he travels all over the world seeking out adventure. I guess he could be called an adrenaline junkie but the content of his shows is all about unearthing the truth and at times dispelling myths. For now he has been content with his life but he has never really laid down roots anywhere.

Lily lives next door to her sister, who is a single mum to her gorgeous son Ivan. She has her own audio/sound business and is just getting by. She loves what she does and being close by to her sister and nephew. Right from when she was a young child she has been a curious thing, asking lots of questions and at times a bit of an over-thinker.

When Lily meets Gabe she has no idea of his fame or background, all she sees is this incredibly handsome man. Like, take a big gulp of air handsome because she almost forgets to breathe. Gabe spotted Lily from a distance that he was quick to close. There is something about this girl that draws all of his attention and seeing as he is in town for a while he is determined to get to know her.

When Gabe’s Producer hires a new sound engineer for his latest project on ghosts in some of the older Savannah buildings, he is surprised to find out that it is Lily. This could not have worked better, it’s like fate is pushing them together and both of them can feel this incredible pull happening between them.

Gabe has never been interested in pursuing anything with any other woman he has met but Lily has him rethinking his future. Gabe sets out to woo the girl and OMG that man knows what he is doing. He is the king of swoon! Then there is the sexy stuff… Gabe brings out the sex kitten in Lily and blows her mind.

As much as they are enjoying this thing they have going on, in the back of Lily’s mind is that this has a time limit. Gabe will be leaving town soon and she will only have the memories of what they shared to remind her of him. Gabe is thinking the opposite, he doesn’t want to let go of the first woman who has made him feel as happy he is right now. He is being pulled in two different directions and he knows which direction he wants to take.

I absolutely loved every word of this gorgeous, romantic story. Every book I have read by this author leaves me with a smile on my face and a warmth in my chest. Nicole’s books lift my spirit and cement my love of reading.

MY RATING: 4/5 STARS
I received a copy from Thomas Allen & Sons in exchange for a honest review and to take part in the blog tour.

This is my first Nicola Rendell book and after being told by my friend, Ambur, that Nicola's books are flirty, fun, and sexy I knew I would enjoy this one. Do You Feel It Too tells the story of a character very similar to Bear Grylls, the British adventurer, that dominated our televisions with his extraordinary show.

Gabe Powers is in Savannah to film his television pilot. He doesn't believe in ghosts but he's going ghost hunting. However, the only thing that he seemed to have found is a beautiful sound engineer named Lily Jameson. Their attraction sizzles from the pages as soon as they meet and long before their story ends. After an amazing night, Lily is hired by Gabe's eccentric talent agent to be the regular sound engineer for the show. This is a huge milestone for Lily as the small odd jobs here and there hasn't really made her instantly rich or her business booming. Everything sounds perfect until the contract states that no employee shall have a sexual relationship or any relationship for that matter. When Lily takes it very seriously, it's up to Gabe to seduce her. Only instead of just giving his body to Lily, he's also giving his heart.

I really enjoyed the pacing of this story in a way. At first, it seemed a little bit quick at how attracted Gabe was to Lily. He just kept having really hot dirty thoughts of her and Lily didn't shy away from it either. However, after we've gotten through the standard of the old in-n-out, they just kind of slipped into a comfortable relationship of living with each other which made it nice and sweet but also slow at times. These events didn't feel like it was moving the plot forward nor did it drive any characters to take actions that would cause conflict or have revelations.

Who also knew a sizzling romance could include a cast of quirky characters such as a pet bird who is amazingly smart for an animal who has a pea-sized brain? The parrot turned out to be one of my favourite characters. He just kept having these amazing conversations or he did fun things here and there that makes you laugh and scream just like what the characters are doing. Move along dogs, parrots are my new favourite pets in books.

I also really enjoyed Gabe as a character. He was so perfect that it made me sick. Always understanding, patient, and thinks before he acts, Gabe could be my new book boyfriend. Even when Lily had her insecurities about their relationship Gabe really wanted to talk it out instead of taking the easy way out. I understood the complications of their relationships and felt that it in the long-end it might not workout but the story ended satisfyingly.

Overall, the novel is a solid read but got a little slow for my liking so I had to knock off a star.

MY RECOMMENDATION

Definitely read this one and check out Nicola's other books because I will!

“I don’t even know you.”
“I’m Gabe. I’ll be forty next year. I’m an Aquarius. I’m a lefty, but I can use regular scissors. I actually really do like long walks on the beach. Big fan of spaghetti and meatballs. I’m here for a while on business, and I’d really like to get to know you better. Boom. Done.”

There are many authors I love, but only a handful I’d cancel Christmas for if one of their books was releasing on that day, and Nicola Rendell is one of those precious few for me. A rare and gifted storyteller, her stories are always so unique, so electric, so utterly satisfying in every possible way, but it is her whimsical writing style, the palpable magic between her characters, and her flair for making the ordinary extraordinary that have turned every one of her books into a treasured reading experience for me. As always, I was smitten from the very first page, and having now read this book twice in as many days, I just know that this is one of those books I’d want with me if I were ever stranded on a deserted island.

The feels in this were just outstanding. This is what I hope to feel from every book I read, yet it's so rare to find it.

Gabe is swoony, Lily is real and the General is the best pet I've ever read, I adored him. He was also hilarious.

The only thing that I wasn't keen on was the unsolicited advice from strangers towards the end. It felt a bit contrived to me, especially coming after all of that originality and sparkle in the rest of the book. While it didn't spoil the book, I felt a bit disappointed.

But can we talk about the smut in this? Yikes it was hot. And Gabe is a proper boy scout, croc wrestling alpha with a dirty mouth and a natural sense of romance. Yeah so I'm swooning again, sorry.

Fabulous read, highly recommended. Complete story, standalone.

**Thanks to the author via netgalley for the arc.**

4 stars!

Actually ... based on the overall story and some things that irked me (which I’ll tag under spoiler later on), the story itself is likely less than 4 stars but you know what? Despite that... I really enjoyed this lol. So I’m basing my rating on my overall feels and I gotta say, this was totes fun to read.

Gabe is a 39 year old globe-trotting host of a popular TV show that scours the world looking for urban legends, monsters and ghosts.
Lily is a 35 year old sound tech running her own small company in Savannah, Georgia. Gabe ends up in Savannah to film a show on a supposed haunted house and he ends up running into Lily (literally!.. hilarious first meeting).
And from there... it’s total insta love and hot and heavy and funny and intense but in a light, positive way.

It doesn’t take long for them to fall into bed and ooooh boy... when they do? Gabe turns in to this dirty talking alpha while lily lets go of her southern manners and it’s all a recipe for smokin hot sexy times!! Good grief! But i loved it! And the use of cameras and other toys later on?? Oooooh yeah lol.

The story is basically of them falling into each other while trying to navigate the fact that he’s a famous, world travelling tv host where she is a small town homebody. There’s some drama that stems more from insecurities but it’s light. And honestly? I adored Gabe. He was unapologetic about his feelings and totally went for it. I loved that. There was no “him fighting his true feelings cause it’s not what he thought he wanted” BS. If there was ever a book about falling in love at first sight and freaking owning that, it’s this book. I loved how determined and steadfast he was and how immediately he wanted lily forever.

Lily, in this story has a pet African grey parrot called the General. This. Bird. Makes the book lol. He was absolutely hilarious and if anything, you should read this to LOL over this bird. I never thought I’d laugh over the word “potato” but I did. I really did.

Now things that irked me

Again, those are just personal preferences and regardless, I enjoyed this very much and was left feeling happy and satisfied. And I definitely love Gabe. And the general!

Fun, easy and funny read that is a perfect book to insert in between heavier books.

I won the audio CD of this book. I was trying to find the time to read this book. I didn't read too much of the blurb, so I was surprise at this witty Southern Charm-ing story.
I also noticed that this is on Kindle Unlimited read & listen for free. YAY. I was really enjoying the writing so much that I picked up the kindle book too. I kept switching back and forth since I didn't want to leave Gabe & Lily & Savannah, GA.
I've read a few of Ms Rendell's books. I enjoyed all that I've read, Hail Mary, Professed and Confessed & So Good.
I need to read Shimmy Bang Sparkle-that looks fun.
This is 1st person POV alternating Gabe & Lily.
It starts of with Gabe catching sight of Lily during 4th of July fireworks. Talk about a meet cute.
The calamity that ensued. Fortunately, there were some seriously steamy moments. A lot of them. All.throughout.the book. Yes. Gabe & Lily have some hawt chemistry.
Gabe is the stranger in town. Savannah is Lily's hometown. She knows "everyone" and "everyone" knows her.
I love the scenes with the supporting characters: Aunt Jennifer: Lily's family at the Secret Ingredient BBQ restaurant; Lily's sister Daisy & her cutie pie nephew Ivan (pronounced the Russian way E-von), I especially loved "The General" -I'd say he steals every scene. Gabe's goal is to get along with The General. I wont say much more, but he's very devoted to Lily and to little Ivan.
I enjoyed Rock Engle in Gabe's parts. He has a rich, sexy voice. CJ Bloom is very good as Lily.
Gabe is a world traveler and Lily is content with her little corner of the world. What to do? What to do?
Savannah, GA is a character itself. Sex and the city of the South.
I had so much damn fun reading this book.
When there's instant attraction/spark in a story, I LOVE it when there's time spent on developing the RELATIONSHIP. These two. I was so shocked that this little surprise was right there waiting for me to enjoy. I will definitely keep this as a reread (there are so few of them that I want to reread).
Another favorite author of mine, Penny Reid, talks about smart romance. That's what this is.
The ending is so good. I would love even more into the future, but I'm greedy.
I love stories set in the South. This is easily 5 stars. If you haven't gotten into audio, try the kindle book. The writing is so good. Not just metaphors typed out, but wonderful narrative. The dialogue is funny and full of heart. Lily has a moment of truth and Gabe knows what (who) he wants.

I’ll have to come back and expand this more later, but I liked this one! The H is adventurous, swoony, sweet, and alpha in bed. He has his own tv show where he travels around the world. He stumbles across the h while in Savannah doing episodes on ghosts and it’s Insta-attraction. She’s sweet, funny, and a homebody. Their chemistry lit up the page for me.

There was banter, swoony moments, sexiness, humor (I laughed out loud hysterically several times), and a bit of conflict/drama. Told in first person, dual POV and character-driven story. No ow/om drama, neither were virgins and it seemed like it had been a while for both, bc discussed. There were moments that took me out of the story with some small errors here and there like missing words in a sentence. The pacing also felt uneven sometimes but then a really funny part would happen that brought me back. Cute epilogue with their HEA.

In an instant love story, the author introduces us to Gabe and Lily, who are opposites -- one a man of the world and the other a hometown girl. The setting is Savannah, Georgia where Gabe is hunting ghosts for his television show! Lily is the sound engineer hired to help him.

Not a lot of angst which was nice change of pace from what I've been reading. There's an exceptional and unique parrot named The General involved. He certainly kicks things up and served up some great LOL moments. He just might have stolen the show.

Delightfully quirky and definitely hot and sensual. And a very sweet and heart-stealing happy ever after.

Just like the fireworks on the 4th of July, Gabe and Lily’s relationship starts out with a bang and we can only hope that their finale is just as bright. Nicola Rendell does hot, sweet and sexy in such a way that’s endearing, honest and heartfelt. Her writing has a fun, witty way about it and it only enhances the journey you’re on. Let’s not forget about her knack to include a quirky family pet that tends to become an integral part of the story. Cue “The General,” the over the top parrot that has a larger than life personality!

Nicola’s flare for the original is evident once again in Do You Feel It Too. Yes, she blesses us with a sexy alpha male again, with the likes of Gabe. He’s is a woman’s dream with his thoughtful, kind gestures and swoony overtures. He says what he means, and he means what he says. There is no BS with this jet setting adventurer and those are the exact qualities that Lily loves about him the most. Lily is a sweet, kind, family-oriented entrepreneur that loves life in her little Savannah, Georgia bubble. She’s happy with not living life outside the box, but she never could have imagined a man like Gabe turning her life upside down like he does.

The budding romance between Gabe and Lily is immediate and intense. I loved the dynamic between these two and although it was quick and fierce, I felt it every step of the way. I can’t deny that Gabe captured me in his world of romance and that my girl crush on Lily is a real thing. Some things are a given, and Gabe and Lily fell into that category for me! Yes, I felt it too ❤️❤️❤️

Do You Feel It Too? is another terrific read from Nicola Rendell. I was so excited to read about Gabe the ghost hunting adventurer because those are really the only type of shows on tv that I watch! If Ghost Adventures is on, I am there. While this book didn’t give me quite what I was hoping for/expecting in that aspect of the story, it sure made up for it in the sweet, fun, and sexy love story between Lily and Gabe!

Gabe and Lily are definitely a case of opposites attracting. Gabe is always on the move, globe-trotting and seeking the next adventure for his television show. Lily is quite content with the life she’s made for herself in Georgia, she’s got her job, her nephew, her sister, and the General- what more could she want? That’s the big question she faces when Gabe enters the picture and shows her there’s so much more to life than what she’s settled for, if only she could get past her fears and insecurities.

Ms. Rendell sure can write a dreamy hero! Gabe brings all the alpha-male goodness in Do You Feel It Too?...and believe you me, you will feel it when you read this book! He’s swoony and sweet and sexy, he’s all the things you could ever want in a book boyfriend. And he is all about Lily- from the moment he sees her across the park there was no turning back for him!

Southern charm and heat…

Gabe and Lily were a flirty couple that soon realized the heat in the bedroom rivaled the Georgian sunshine! Sparks flew at first glance and things between them were awkward, funny and sweet – exactly what a true romance would feel like. From laugh-out-loud conversations to sizzling scenes of love and desire, their romance felt genuine and honest.

This author knows how to spin an intriguing tale and there were so many elements to enjoy. The dialogue, the chemistry, grabbed my attention right away, making me laugh along with them as they went from one ghost-hunting antic to the next. So many bumps along the way meant this was not a slam-dunk, everything was perfect, kind of deal. No, there were issues with not so perfect career paths and old baggage still carried to mar their path. Of course, that meant more things to learn and savour…

I have read a few books by this author now and each one has been a unique take on love and the battle to keep it. This time out, sprawling, maybe haunted, homes were a great backdrop for a courtship that battled ghosts of the past (figuratively and meta-physically) to pave the way for their future.

Oh wow. I have so much love for this book right now. Christ, I loved every single moment of it!

ARC received in exchange for an honest review

From the moment I seen the info about this book I knew I had to read it. I’m a huge fan of myth’s and Urban Legends, I absolutely LOVE watching shows about them or reading about them so this beauty was everything I loved and more.

Lily and Gabe are so freaking perfect it actually hurts.

Lily lives in her own bubble, preferring to do what she knows and stay where she knows. She’s beautiful, bubbly and adorable and has a huge fear of flying. But when she attracts a guy that’s the complete opposite she has to decide what she wants most.

Gabe is adventurous and loves to travel the world and check out urban legends in different places in the world. He’s smart, charming and has girls falling at his feet but he only wants the one woman who will take his heart, he just hasn’t found her yet but things could possibly be about to change when he’s almost knocked out by a woman.

Gabe and Lily’s story was all kinds of adorable. They’re sweet, fun and loveable. Watching them interact and share time together was so damn awesome, I loved every second we got with these two.

The sex, Christ almighty, it was hot. Wait, hot doesn’t even begin to describe it, it was scorching, melted panties scorching *sighs* where can one apply for a Gabe of their own?

Nicola Rendell did an outstanding job on this, I loved the feel of this book, the characters, the story just everything. I’ll definitely be coming back to read more from this author.
