The third book in the enchanting Alinthia series is intended for readers aged seventeen and older. This is upper YA/NA crossover reverse harem paranormal romance which gets steamier as the series develops. This is not a standalone read.

Series: Alinthia - Book 3 Publication Date: August 28, 2018 Publisher: Siobhan Davis Genre: Paranormal Romance | Scifi | NA Print Length: 259 pages Available from: Amazon For Reviews, Giveaways, Fabulous Book News, follow: http://tometender.blogspot.com
WOW!! Just when I think that Siobhan couldn't deliver any more surprises or get any more grittier, she out does herself.
The Warrior Princess continues on where book two left us and there is no slowing down. Siobhan delivers another action-packed and slightly darker edge to it, but I loved every word of it.
The growth in these characters, especially Tori/Alinthia, with each book is amazing. And it's not just the physical growth, but also maturity and mentally - I love that I can sense that without Siobhan ever truly saying anything in her words.
Siobhan touches a subject in here that may be difficult for some to read about, but she handles it so well. I can't express my words enough in stating that Siobhan has always done a spectacular job in writing difficult situations with the utmost care and understanding - it's something that very few authors are able to handle correctly.
Overall, this is the best book so far in this series. I love how it feels as though everything has been upped and we are just getting to the grittiness of the story. I cannot wait for the next book to see where Siobhan takes us next!
This series is consiming my life! I am devouring one right after the other. Alinthia will be tested. Her power in increasing and when it’s unleashed, she is unstoppable.
Her training continues but the enemy is coming and it’s one they didn’t see coming. A betrayal will lead to Alinthia’s kidnapping by an unexpected captor. Cooper was her protector but he was outnumbered by a different enemy. The guys will not lay idle and let their family be torn apart. In their attempt to rescue Cooper, they were captured as well.
Alinthia is being forced to train because her captors have their own agenda. She’ll do anything she can to get her guys back. Being separated is already a weakness, but not knowing ehere they are or if they are safe, is taking its toll.
Cooper, Maddox, Beck and Dane will do what’s necessary to stay alive and get back to Alinthia. While Alinthia is being taught to summon her powers at will, Dane will make soul sucking sacrifices to keep his brothers safe until they can escape.
Alinthia will finally get the chance to save her boys rather than waiting for them to save her. Lives are always lost when a battle becomes the only way to win. It won’t be easy. The darkness will be called upon when Alinthia is pushed to her limit. It brings the power she needs to win, but at what cost?
I was on the edge of my seat for most of this one. The separation was difficult because the entire time I wished for their reunion, very well knowing that it wouldn’t be the same. Alinthia is moving toward reaching her full potential, but she struggles with control. The bonds they all share have grown and their love is strong, but one of them is weighed down by guilt and shame. Some of their enemies have been eliminated, but there are always more to come. The chosen has her protectors back, but the war has only just begun.
Siobhan Davis adds The Warrior Princess to her Alinthia series, a sci-fi, new adult romance series where Alinthia alone has been captured by a human government agency while her protectors were abducted the viciously cruel Alandra and sinister General Arantu.
All is not lost though, while Alinthia was expecting to be rescued by her gorgeous protectors, other forces have been devising ways to help out all along. Not just to escape, but to assist her in learning how to use and control her powers, save her guys and carry out her destiny. But saving the galaxy has put her on a narrow path between right and wrong. Where will her choices lead her?
While Alinthia deals with the aftermath of her friend’s betrayal, she also finds new friends in unlikely places. But Coop, Beckett, Maddox and especially Dane are suffering at the clutches of their enemies and odds are they would get out unscathed.
Siobhan Davis is a stalwart of the new adult, sci-fi romances, producing nonstop exciting stories full of angst and drama. She crafts a fiery heroine who’ll do anything to protect the people she loves. Davis matches fire with fire presenting evenly fierce alpha male protectors who will suffer through the cruelest of tortures in order to keep her safe.
The Warrior Princess will trap you in its thrilling spell and put the reader through a gamut of emotions, from surprise, to laughter and sexiness, to raw sadness going to darker than expected places. I can’t wait to see how this all unfolds in the following installments.
Without being able to reveal much else so as not to spoil any one, I can say that I really enjoyed Alinthia’s ongoing training. The scenes were so vivid, I could see them clearly in my mind’s eye.
The Warrior Princess is book #3 of the Alinthia series by Siobhan Davis. It is a new adult, sci-fi reverse harem romance. Told from various points of view with a cliffhanger.
I should know by now that the deeper we get in a series, the more Siobhan Davis is going to test our characters- and oh my do they get tested in book 3- SD throws so much at Alinthia and the men by her side. The stakes are increasingly larger and more dangerous- the tests more brutal and heart breaking. But nothing helps solidify the unity of a team, of a family, like adversity- and these characters only get more resolved, and stronger, with every hurdle that comes their way. But even better is that we see Alinthia start to stand more on her own- to lean into her full self. Especially she sufferers, isolated and alone. But the feelings between them all- oh lawdy, the floodgates are opening, the bonds are stronger, but they still have a few hurdles yet to go.
More secrets, painful betrayals, and twists abound. Enemies are multiplying, and sacrifices must be made. And, oh my heart, does Siobhan pull at our feelings. We’re recognizing that our beloved characters may indeed be up for the challenge- but the costs may be too great. This is an edge of your seat thriller- can’t get enough!
Okay.. wow. Siobhan’s creative writing is brilliant. This series are full of surprises. She just made me bawl like a damn baby over the death of my favorite character, which turned out to be a ruse. But dane’s suffering hit me in the gut. I feel the pain for him . Urgh. You wound me, Siobhan. But damn it. I can’t wait for the next book.
Every book by Siobhan keeps me riveted the entire time I'm reading. It's so difficult to put one of her books down. Much like a cheesecake, you end up wanting to devour the whole thing in one sitting!
This series, being a reverse harem story, is one I wasn't sure if I could get into, but I'm happy to say that is not the case. I've become fully invested in Tori's story and in each of her protectors. I'm also not usually a big fan of alien and sci-fi type stories, but every single one of her stories in this genre have had me captivated. I think it's because she keeps the perfect amount of realism and romance balanced with the sci-fi aspects of the stories. You truly find yourself rooting for the couples in the books.
Tori/Alinthia has to face more than she's had to face before in this volume. She's being held captive and being put through tests that no one should have to endure. Meanwhile, she doesn't know what's happened to her guys and that puts more stress on her. There is betrayal of the very highest, and a lot of action going on in this book. At the end, we realize it's only just the beginning. I am going to have a very hard time waiting for the fourth book to come out!
*I received an ARC of this book which I voluntarily reviewed.*
Oh my goodness! My heart! I found myself not able to function through life until I found out what happened. I had to keep reading, and getting through work was torture because all I wanted to do was keep reading through the pages.
Its hard to say anything about this book without spoilers but I'll have to tell you that you won't be sorry to pick this one up. I will say it was awesome to follow Alinthia and watch her blossom. You'll get hit so hard with suspense, romance, friendships, emotional turmoil, and a whole lot of fingernail biting as you turn each page.
I will now be waiting very impatiently for the next book!!
The Alinthia series by Siobhan Davis was a whole bunch of new for me. It was my first real foray into New Adult (NA) books from Young Adult (YA) books. It was my first any-kind-of-harem novel - this series is reverse harem. So, it challenges me in a whole lot of ways that I like.
This volume in particular is one I am struggling with deciding how much I really liked it. I think the subject matter itself is so uncomfortable that it's hard for me to say, "I loved this book and all the TORTURE! YAY!" You know?
But that doesn't mean I didn't like it. It was a rough read if you have come to care about any of the characters at all. That being said, I want to applaud the author for taking on the subject matter of male rape and sexual assault as well as a male as the victim in an abusive relationship. Yes, this is a voice deeply needed in modern fiction! Consent is handled very thoroughly, making sure to point out that everyone should make sure they have it, no matter who the initiator is (male or female) and showing it as the basis of healthy relationships.
The action is UNBEATABLE. These are my favorite action scenes Siobhan Davis has ever written. She's killing it!
I'm eager to read the next installment. I want to see how a realistic version of healing plays out in so many of these characters and their relationships. "The Warrior Princess" is full of promise for dramatic character changes and is a breath of new life in the Alinthia series.
Yowza!!! If you think Alinthia and the guys have been through the wringer before....suffice to say you haven't seen anything yet! From the second she opens her eyes in the opening of this book the poop hits the fan and she kicks butt! In this book she truly becomes the Savior everyone is expecting her to become....and woe to anyone that gets in her way!!! She and the guys are desperate to find their way back together....New friends, old friends, traitors oh my....lots and lots along the way...and a few friendly enemies in the mix to act as punching bags along the way *wink*.....I LOVED this book...Especially how Alinthia truly rose to the occasion and showed the warrior queen she is becoming. Get ready for oodles of action (fighting) and alien political maneuvering along the way. I can't wait to see what happens next!!
I'm a little shell shocked! This book has taken a walk on the dark side but has held me tranfixed from the start. Picking up where Book 2 left us, this book is fast paced, gritty and dark, Siobhan Davis does not leave you much time to come up for air! Some issues raised in this book, may not be for everyone, but they hold true to the story and the situations presented. As a reader you find yourself crying out for the characters.
This is by far the best book to date in the series, as we truly see Tori/Alinthia finding herself and developing her powers while captured. While her 'protectors' are miles away, going through their own hell. Great instalment, count down now for Book 4.
Tori has been kidnaped by a secret government organisation that kidnaps and tests on aliens. Her men have been kidnaped & trapped by Alandra who intends to break them and make them her own. Tori must find a way to master her powers & escape so she can get to her guys before it’s too late.
4.5 Stars! In this book Tori/Alinthia puts in the work to unlock her gifts so she can go save her guys. So much action in this one with lots of thrilling suspense and of course more shocking surprises. I'm hooked son this series.
Tori is trying to come to terms with all the changes she’s been faced to accept the last few months:
She’s a royal alien changling child The four hot guys at school have been her protectors since before they were born Evil aliens are after her and have killed her father Her life plans with boyfriend Jensen had to end, breaking his heart She’s developing sexy relationships with all four of her protectors Her “twin” sister trapped her and her guys in a horrid situation She’s now been kidnapped and taken off planet Cooper, Dane, Maddox and Beck have been kidnapped as well She is expected to be the savior of the planet and people she doesn’t even know
On top of it all, Tori has has several trust issues that have affected her relationship with the guys, and her full powers have yet to develop.
Be warned: This books takes a hard turn to the dark side! Fun, games, flirting and training are over because the war is here. Everyone Tori and the guys thought they could trust has turned out to be a traitor, but more unknown allies - loyal to the royal throne - are waiting for them all.
Tori’s best friend is the one who has been spying on her for years, knowing exactly who and what she was, and was also the one who set the trap to get them all captured.
Now that they’re all separated, Tori and the guys, unknowingly to each other, devise ways to escape. Just be ready for some action and heat!
My heart is torn up over everything that went down in this installment! I can’t even process how I feel about what Dane went through... and I have a feeling we will find out so much more about what happened in the next book! Truthfully, I’m so messed up about that aspect of this story that all of the other plot twists and MC progression into this all powerful savior really aren’t registering as too important for me. Alandra and Zorc deserved way, way worse than what they got. I really hated them! I have to say other authors would shy away from causing such trauma and damage to the RH unit, but dude, Davis is not afraid to go there and rip out your heart in the process... As painful the emotions this story brought out, it just made me fall harder under the spell of this series... This is no average RH series... These MCs have a built relationship with all its highs and lows... They are not just cookie cutter insta-love rainbows and unicorns couples... There is actual realistic conflict amongst their unit... I have become invested in their struggle, and can’t wait for Alinthia to break down every wall.
I love this series. This installment follows Alinthia after she has been captured by the government and the guys have been taken by Alandra and Arantu.
At the government facility she meets other aliens who are aware of the prophecy. Alinthia makes new friends in Tav and Ellya. Tav introduces Alinthia to the secret society theory and how they will find them when breaking out of the facility. Alinthia works with Zorc to find her powers even though she finds out he is playing both sides. Alinthia is eventually broke out of the facility and taken by the secret society where she continues to work on her powers until she connects to the guys and finds them being caught in an escape plan.
Alinthia is able to rescue her guys and they make it back to Earth but it's not happily ever after or the end of Arantu or the government...
I'm not sure I can make it until 2019 to find out what happens.
This is the third installment of the series and I loved it. Alinthia is thrown all sorts of obstacles she must overcome, but she finally learns to control some of her powers. Motivation is the key for her it seems. Her guys, Dane/Maddox/Cooper and Beckett, are thrown some challenges as well, some of which are definitely soul-sucking but they power through them to be there for Alinthia. Everything they do is out of their love for her. But, in the end, will what they have gone through be a permanent obstacle to their love? Or will what lies in their hearts be enough? And what of general Arrantu? Just when they think they might have a bit of a breather they are mistaken and have to stop the war coming for them and all humankind. I can’t wait for the finale of this saga, but I have a feeling that the boys and Alinthia will get their long-deserved HEA!
What a crazy ride it was - so many emotions I went through with these characters. I became so invested in this series that I cannot wait for the next book and I so do not want it to end at all.
My word, what an amazing, awesome and fantastic addition to this series. A must read!
The writing was amazing, heartfelt and brilliant. I think it was the best and most possibly my favourite book in this series!
Full of aliens, twists and turns, surprises, angst, action, adventure and romance.
Perfect for readers of paranormal reverse harem romances/sci-fi romances.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This book is the 3rd book in the series. It had so much happening in it that it made my head swim . There was action, heartache, anguish, tears, suffering and lots of action. I couldn't put the kindle down until it ran out of battery then had to stop reading and go to bed. I was back on it after the school run. Victoria developed her abilities alot. She was magnificent. I wander if there will be any repercussions from what occurred in this book. It will be interesting to see where the story goes from here Can't wait for the next book. I hope it's not a long wait
I loved the action in this book. Goodness I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, or scream. I wanted a little more from Tori, but there is definitely some new develops. Cooper!! He is so freaking cute and loving. He redeemed himself in this one as did Dekten- but oh what he had to endure... I won't spoil it, but goodness he is too selfless in this one. That ending though had me ugh wanting the next book now!!!! Now to play the waiting game AGAIN.
Oh my goodness... I'm anxiously awaiting book 4 to be released. Wow. In this book, Tori grows stronger in her abilities and love for her guys... Kaylie .and Jensen surprise us and the are now players... I have been hooked on this series since book 1 and haven't been able to stop reading. Love how the author entrances you and you feel like you are right ther in the mix... highly recommend.
Normally I’m not a huge fan of syfy but I’ve been hooked from the very first book! I’ve enjoyed the series, the way the MC is humanized and the bond she shares with her guys. I just hope that they can save earth and repair the damage done to the guys while they were held captive!
Such an emotional addition to this series!!! This book definitely has some intense subject matter but I think it makes the storyline more real. Siobhan Davis hasn’t written a book I didn’t like but I have to admit this RH Series is my favorite so far! I cannot wait to see how Alinthia and her men continue to grow in their relationship!!
You know that moment you’re reading a Siobhan Davis book and you’re not clutching your chest trying to catch your breath and not scream at your kindle through your tears? Yeah nope me neither.
This book I feel had the most adventure, suspense and heart racing moments. Things you think you know you really don’t.
How much pain can these characters withstand? To answer that pick up this series. I’ll give you a hint.... it’s a lot!
I really loved this series. It’s seriously good but I sometimes cant handle how much heartache there is. I hate hate hate what dane had to go through! So glad the evil witch is dead!! So happy jensen is still alive too!! Love how mature/sensible and level headed and loving alinthia is compared to so many other heroines in these types of situations and stories!!
Another awesome book from Siobhan Davis! I never see the twists and turns coming, which is nice when so many books are predictable. There were a few hair-raising moments where things looked pretty bleak, but most got sorted in the end. Of course she left things on an intriguing note and I can’t wait for the next installment!
I love this author. I thought this was the last book guess not with that giant cliffhanger that was dropped at the end. So much happened. In shock. Dane?! I have way too many opinions about him and his actions near the end. So happy for Tori and the others and the strong connection and bond they share wish Dane would snap out of it and accept that she loved him. Cannot wait for the next book. Cannot wait to see what happens.
