Praise for Celia's Shadow:

"Frankly I couldn't put it down. The story and characters connected so well. Each character was developed in just enough depth to make you love (or not love) them from the start. The twists and turns kept me wanting to read more and more."   -Amazon Reviewer

"Celia’s Shadow tweaked my interest from the beginning—it was relatable with the friendship shared between Celia, Kate, and Emma. Definitely did not see the surprise twist at the end. I laughed and I cried.” - Amazon Reviewer

"This is a light and funny read with very relatable situation that every modern woman can find herself in. It’s about friendship, dating, love, marriage, infidelity, hate, and everything in between.” - Amazon Reviewer

This book was about Celia. Her best friends were Emma and Kate. All three of them were stupid and let people walk all over them. They never got any smarter. The end.

Best thing about this book was the rapport between Celia and her friends ... lots of great support and humor. And there were some really laugh-out-loud moments ... for example, the 'bop date' and the in-laws. However, the story itself seemed to just drift along for me without much really going on. Even the romance seemed somewhat flat. And the ending really threw me. This psycho, who is obviously dangerous, apparently was allowed just continue on.
Bottom line: this was an easy, pleasant read that would have benefited from a more interesting plot.

Interesting read, it's not the genre that I normally read but I found reading and reviewing this book was overall enjoyable. There's touches of humor and the twist and turns along with the likable friends with their perspective kept me intrigue to the final page. It's definitely a chick lit story that was well written by a new author to me. I won a copy thru Goodreads. ARC

Chick-lit is not my thing; however...that said, I enjoyed this book. I had forgotten to bring my novels with me on a recent road trip, and my wife lent me Celia's Shadow. I found it very entertaining. I laughed out loud quite a few times. The friendships in the book reminded me of the way my wife and her girlfriends relate to each other. It's a story of friendship and support. Very relaxing to read on the back porch of our vacation home. Worth spending time with these girls. My wife was thrilled we could talk about it after and laugh together. The surprise ending was exactly that...a total surprise...missed the clues (which my wife picked up when she read the book).

Loved this book! Celia and Kate felt so real to me; I saw myself and my friends in a lot of their misadventures. Then I was sideswiped by the ending, which I didn’t see coming! Spend a fun afternoon engrossed in Celia’s world. Then go hug a friend.
