He expresses his thoughts on writing, music, life, retrospections, the past, his upbringing, career, social opinions, flea markets, where he came from, beach strolls, television, telephones, and philosophy on who he is and the existence of God. The reader feels Bill’s passion about artistic compositions, the creative process, and diction. Impulsive poetry flares at unexpected moments. Story outlines, short fiction, travel, and domestic and professional conflicts gush on the pages. Midway into the book, Guillaume, Bill’s alter ego, from time to time, emerges and they debate. At times, Bill’s sentiments drift from reality to contemplative, speculative moods.
