If an island of expectant mothers isn’t enough of a problem, Cord shows up uninvited, as do trip wires, sharks, and explosions. To protect Cord, to save the clutch, to set the island to rights, Shasta will have to be more than earth born. She’ll have to be the bringer of justice… And even that may not be enough.
This is an action packed paranormal urban fantasy adventure series. Great cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Once again we are in the next generation of the witches path. Asta Oaks is the daughter of Michelle Oakes and Elon. She is born of the earth and has been treated out of the love of her mother and father as well as the memories of El Ron‘s first wife And a Demon Hunter that was the last of his kind they gave his life to help Michelle and Elon defeat the demons. Read and see where Shasta and her adventures take her this time. If you thought that time with the dragons was tough. She is meeting a new phone Who may be her match. See if she can find the truth and save the day.
A group of sirens who rebelled against their tribe established a colony halfway around the world from that tribe face inner rebellion of their own. Shasta is an interesting character and her ongoing relationship with Cord seems to stumble around itself even more in this novel than in the last one. The story itself was interesting 🤔. It’s a different take on siren society. Well worth reading.
“I am Shasta, half elf, half witch, born of the earth, created out of the dreams of the demon hunters and demon ridden, molded by thought and wish to be a hunter of evil and bringer of justice." It's not just her job, it is her calling.
After her adventures in the Dragon's lands Shasta is having trouble with her relationship with Cord, and she want to get some distance, but of course, he doesn't want to give it to her, she crosses the country to try and get away and he just goes following, complicating her case and making things a little dangerous for himself. While Shasta doesn't want him with her, she doesn't want him hurt, so she had to accept his help while trying to keep him safe in a dangerous land. When they find out what is really happening, they end up fighting against a force greater than any other they have faced before, and once again Shahsta has to show just who she is and follow her calling, no matter how hard it is.
Title: Fire Forged Author: N.E. Conneely Series: (if any) The Earth Born Cycle book 2 Rating:4/5 stars Format: Ebook
Why'd you pick this book? N.E. Conneely is a fantastic author and her worlds are always so unique and epic. I love the way magic works in her worlds and the way the elves communicate with nature is interesting.
