The Significant Brothers' story has finally come to an end, as each of the brothers has found his other half. But that's not quite all he wrote...
Now, all the Significant Brothers are helping pull off the first brother’s wedding as Nico marries Deen! Who better to help with wedding ring shopping, cake baking, and keeping the grooms calm before they walk down the aisle?
E. Davies writes feel-good, low-angst romance that never fades to black when the going gets good! Born in Canada, after 16 moves and counting, Ed has finally put down roots in north London.
He emerges from his writing nest to coo over fuzzy animals, flee from cute guys, dance through the streets with his chosen family, put together fierce looks, and—most of all—befriend local flowers.
3+ No jakaż mogła być połówka kończąca serię - no oczywiście, że słodka i urocza 😁 Ślub i przygotowania do niego pierwszej poznanej pary, czyli Nico i Deena, 12 rozdziałów i 12 POV-ów - jeden dla każdego bohatera serii - co wyszło zresztą całkiem nieźle i gotowa historia na deser po całej serii 😁
Great short novella to end this series of the Significant Brothers. Each brother gets a job at the wedding of Nico and Deen. Everyone is included and a beautiful end to an amazing series.
This cannot be read without reading the previous books - it's basically a happy reunion of characters as they gather for the wedding of one of the couples in the series. I enjoyed it, though I felt like Dean's character changed a lot over the series from his original book character, that he was made even fussier, less snarky & prone to innuendo than he was in the first book. It was something I'd noticed when he was present in a couple of the previous books too. However, minus that, it was a love fest of friends (aka brothers) and couples. I listened to the book as part of the Significant Brothers collection & I do not envy the narrator one bit for having to voice 10 different guys. I'm sure some weren't exactly the same as they'd been in previous books, except perhaps Josh, since he has the strongest accent of the bunch, but I didn't have any issue with it. The emotion was definitely present to make up for any alteration in voice, if there were any. I'm going to miss reading these guys, no matter how unrealistic their tight group of super sweet male friends & lovers might be in the world.
Significant Brothers is the second series I’ve read now by E. Davies and I think it was better than the Hart’s Bay collection. E. Davies does a wonderful job at creating strong character development and interesting storylines. This collection revolves around 6 high school friends who are now adults and all finding their significant brothers and career paths. The 7th book of the collection is a novella at the end that brings them all together. I admire this series because each character has their own personality and E. Davies does a good job at emphasizing their careers and how they shape their everyday lives. Each storyline is well developed and has a perfect mix of comedy, connection, HEA, and drama. ★★★★★ I would definitely recommend this series.
I received an ARC from the author. This review is freely given!
I loved every book in the Significant Brothers series and this culminating short story is the perfect way for it to reach its conclusion! Everyone planning a wedding should read this as it guide to what is important and how a celebration should happen.
Each couple has a role and fulfills it perfectly. My only regret is there won't be anymore chances to see them...I'm assuming!
The cherry on top of the series, this story was perfection for fans. Deen's OTT Groomzilla mode has brought all the brothers and their significant others together to make this wedding perfect. I loved seeing what each guy contributed to make the day special for Deen and Nico. It all accumulated to surpass Deen's expectations. I'm hoping that maybe we fans will get to see sneek-peaks of the rest of the guys' HEAs as we all know this may be the first wedding for the brothers but obviously, the others won't be far behind.
This short novella concludes the Significant Brothers series. Each chapter is the point of view of one of the main characters from the series, and each character tells the story of Deen and Nico’s wedding. There’s laughter, joy, and nostalgia, all mixed up with love, romance, and a beautiful, hopeful ending that indicates a wonderful future for all the loving couples.
Perfection! One chapter for each of the brothers -- made me cry and laugh -- exactly how I wanted these stories to end...unless you want to write the other proposals and weddings, of course (hint hint hint)!
I really enjoyed how each of the Significant Brothers and their Significant Others got their own chapter, and how they all came together to pull off the wedding! Hopefully this will only be the first in a series of wedding books...
This was a great addition to the Significant Brothers series. I loved being able to visit all the couples again. It had many touching and laugh out loud moments as the men got ready for Deen and Nico's wedding.
I ‘be missed a couple books, but it wasn’t a problem as each relationship is explained! The story of Deen and Nico’s nuptials was told from each Significant Brother s POV. That they each had a part to play in the making of said wedding was like icing on the cake!!
Awwwww. What a perfect wrap up of the Significant Brothers series. It was so sweet, and I want more. I want to see all of them get married! Lovely story, Ed. Thank you!
I loved this whole series. The brotherhood between all the guys was incredible. I totally agree that family is what we make it not only my s t what were born to.
What a beautiful and perfect way to wrap up, what I feel, has been a truly amazing series! I loved how sweet this short story was even though there were a few tense-ish moments when it came to the arrangements for the wedding! I do hope we get short stories for the other guys too when they get married! LOVED IT!!
Gotta love a happy ending. I love the way E Davies wrapped the series up, but I'm so sad to see the Significant Brothers end. This has been one of my favorite series. I guess I'll have to console myself by re-reading again and again. And I'll definitely be waiting for what he writes next.
