The 5 Second rule is at best a hack and at worst a waste of words.
I am a confident, decisive person, so this wasn't a great book for me. I read it all though, because I mentor others who are stuck, because their anxieties prevent them from taking forward actions.
The only way to start a journey is taking that first step! This summary of the rule is a reminder to stop listening to your/my excuses, and get moving despite the obstacles we toss ahead. Clear, concise, and a reality check!

Probably the best thing I took away is the tip on reframing. When you are experiencing feelings of anxiety, tell yourself that you are excited instead. The body reacts to excitement in the same way physiologically, but excitement is a more positive experience.
