IN SPITE OF EVERYTHING SHE’S HAD TO FACE—OF ALL THE OBSTACLES SHE’S OVERCOME AND THE PEOPLE SHE’S SAVED—REYES CAN’T DO THE ONE THING SHE NEEDS TO DO MOST. THE THING THAT WILL MAKE HER COMFORTABLE IN HER OWN SKIN. THE THING THAT WILL FINALLY BRING HER PEACE … SHE CAN’T FIND THE COURAGE TO TALK OPENLY TO HER FATHER.
After witnessing half her squad massacred by violent rock-like monsters on a sandy and scorched planet, Reyes is now back on the Crimson Destroyer enjoying some R&R. Other than the WO, there are only rookies on board. Everyone else has gone home for some well-earned time off.
So when an uninhabited and seemingly abandoned ship called The Faradis appears on their radars, the WO decides to board it to investigate.
What seems to be a simple mission turns into anything but. Once again, Reyes and her squad find themselves in a battle with the odds stacked firmly against them. And while in amongst it all, can she finally be brave enough to tell her father what she has to say?
The Faradis is a dark space opera horror inspired by stories like Alien and Event Horizon. It’s book eight and the final book in the Shadow Order series. Check out the conclusion to this space opera epic now.

“This should be a simple mission. I don’t expect any problems, but as they say: plan for the worst, hope for the best …”
Throughout the Shadow Order series we hear of a mission gone wrong on a mystery ship called the Faradis.
In this final chapter Reyes tells the Shadow Order team what happened on the Faradis. And it was fantastic! This book was creepy as hell, had me guessing the entire time. It is a huge testament to Michaels writing!
I'm not going to say anything about the plot but just know, it was extremely atmospheric, creepy and horrifying!
After which we got our goodbyes, to which I'm sad to not have any more about Seb, SA, Sparks, Bruke and Reyes.
A roller coaster of every facet of man and alien kind, all roles up into a fantastic series of books that gives you an insight into the lives of each character. Then add to this a carefully woven plot throughout the books and you have a brilliant read that keeps you wanting more 👍👍👍
This story focuses on Reyes who first appeared in book 4. This story really cemented why Reyes is the way she is. Her to board the ship Faradis turns out to be a nightmare full of loss. The characters are really well done and the story is non stop entertaining start to finish. I highly recommend this book and the entire series for Sci-Fi fans.
The last book in the series focuses on Reyes and her story about the Faradis. It's a horrific tale but again highlights this author's gift for storytelling.
I have the box set of the series and every book is filled with action with a great plot. I don't give spoilers so will just say that those who enjoy this genre will not be disappointed.
