Abducted by aliens. Made a slave to the Galactic Gladiatorial Syndicate. Injected with a serum that gave her She-Hulk like strength. Jessica Hemworth's life just got a whole lot more interesting. In this exciting novella to The Chronicles of Jegra series, you will learn how Jessica Hemsworth found herself in the far reaches of the galaxy, how she rose to the status of Galactic champion of Arena City, and how she became Jegra Alakandra the Gladiatrix of the Galaxy! Note: Contains some scenes of brutality. Brace yourself for the grindhouse-esque space epic with gladiators and aliens set in a part of the galaxy far, far away.
In elementary school, Tristan Vick once wrote about an alien which came to earth and ate his all of his classmates. His teacher made him tear it up and write a *different more egalitarian story. Apparently, being the sole survivor of the alien attack wasn't egalitarian enough. Now he writes horror, post-apocalytpic, survival, sci-fi, western, erotica, thriller, romance novels and he's not afraid of mixing his genres either.
Tristan Vick is the Author of the zombie/survival/horror series BITTEN: RESURRECTION published by Winlock Press, and exciting new imprint of Permuted Press.
He is also the author of The Scarecrow & Lady Kingston: Rough Justice, also through Winlock Press, which follows the story of a magical scarecrow that joins the LAPD.
This year (2016) Tristan Vick will release three exciting science fiction novels through his self-owned publishing imprint Regolith Publictions, including Robotica: Ultra Heavy, a cyber punk novel, Exoverse: Invasion of the Draugr, a dark sci-fi horror with ancient astronaut and alien conspiracies, and Little Red Gauntlet, a steam punk fairy tale re-telling of the beloved Little Red Riding Hood fable.
Tristan Vick graduated from Montana State University with degrees in English Literature and Asian Cultural Studies. He speaks fluent Japanese and lives with his wife and kids in Japan. When he's not commuting on the train or teaching English, he spends his time reading, writing, blogging, and eating sara udon.

“The Chronicles of Jegra: Origins of the Gladiatrix” is only available as an eBook; it’s not on audible. But I highly recommend starting the Jegra series with the story of her origin!
The intro blurb pretty much describes the book, but I’ll note that the story is lots and lots of campy sci-fi fun! MC Jessica is transformed into a bikini-clad warrior who dominates everyone in the arena! 4.4*
I was quite surprised to enjoy this novella so much. The mention of (pan) sexual elements included in the series had me on the fence, but it did not hinder my enjoyment of the story one bit. In a nutshell, Jegra is a pure pulp action space opera good time! The quality of the writng is very, very good and definately easy to read. The author has a real talent for action scene wich he truly makes kinetic and exiting. So I found myself eager to go read book one of the series and I strongly recommend that you do so yourself.
