Sharp-eyes

Rate this book
When entitlement is based on lineage and ancestry, there can be hell to pay. That's the premise behind this book by Gimli author Bruce Benson. It's a book bound to elicit debate and criticism. This book is allegory, driving home through fiction a view of the present cast by the prism of an imagined future. Less a novel, Sharp-Eyes is a commentary. It reflects the author's unease at the current state of Aboriginal entitlement. Sharp-Eyes takes the present to a disturbing conclusion. Its a bleak future in which the disenfranchised support a diminishing elite.
