All I wanted to do was stay at home and lose myself in my romance novel. I certainly didn't want to go see the all-American male stripper troupe from Miami perform, but Eleanor would hear nothing of it.
She had just broken up with her boyfriend, and in her opinion, the universe owed her a night of pure lust with the star of the show, Subway Chad.
I'd never been to see a bunch of guys get their kit off before, and to be honest, I had a strong feeling it wouldn't be my thing. All these women screaming their heads off for a bunch of guys who were almost definitely gay.
Nevertheless, we got dressed up to the nines and went to see the performance. Subway Chad appeared on stage. And, oh my freaking God…
Then his eyes found mine.
Chad
Women throwing themselves at me on and off stage was no big deal, but me spotting a woman in the crowd and insanely wanting her. Nah, that had never happened.
There was only one thing to do. Get that beauty on the stage.
I didn't know why she had such an effect on me, but one thing was for sure. Like me she too couldn't conceal the lust in her eyes the moment our bodies touched.
This one was coming back with me...

ARC Received for a Voluntary and Honest Review. I also got the book📑 with KU.
This is a novella, and has a happy ending but leaves the story open for another episode. So it's a CLIFFHANGER! There! I said it! There are several additional full length, previously published 📚books by River Laurent included, for many hours of Adult Romance Reading Pleasure!
A London girl hooks up with a famous stripper and then moves to America with him the next day. I liked this story, but a few things bothered me that I couldn't give it a higher rating than three stars. The first one being that throughout the book she was whiney and insecure. And the second was that there was no explanation as to why he became distant with her and he didn't come home until hours and hours after his shows ended. I think we're supposed to infer it was because he was already trying to retire early, but that really only explained the mysterious phone calls, but not the late nights and not the distance and disinterest he showed her.
It was really nice to read about a BBW and a hot, hot guy. Madison was used to being a doormat for her friend Eleanor. She was insecure about her body and thought she was less than others. Luckily she had a dear older sister, Sasha who always encouraged her to be the best she could be. She always told Madison that she was attractive. Sasha was Madison's cheerleader. Madison loved her sister very much. Eleanor on the other hand had been Madison's friend for years. Sasha did not like Eleanor but Madison always tried to smooth the way between them. Madison was loyal to a fault. Even though it turns out that Eleanor did not deserve it. Eleanor talked Madison to spend money on a dress she could not afford and talked her into a night out to see an All American Male Stripper Revue. Madison could only think about how much money this would cost her for the taxi and for the ticket. Eleanor guilted her into going. She kept talking to Madison about the main attraction. His name was Chad and she had plans to seduce him that night. When Sasha, who was a seamstress, modified the dowdy dress Eleanor had picked out for Madison. Madison was amazed at how good she looked. When Eleanor saw the dress, she was not happy. She said Madison looked like a tart. Madison because of her low self esteem, said she would go and change into something else. That's when Sasha piped up and said in no uncertain terms she was to change. She said that Madison looked beautiful. Eleanor did not like it but knew she would not win on this. So they left for the show. Eleanor was miffed at Madison over the dress but when they go to the show, she perked up. When Chad was on stage there was an immediate attraction between him and Madison. He pulled Madison from the audience to dance for her. After the dance, Chad slipped his phone number to Madison. Eleanor witnessed everything and she was furious. She felt that Madison had betrayed her by being with Chad. Eleanor finally showed her true colors and flushed Chad's number down the toilet. Madison was mortified at what Eleanor said and did. Eleanor dumped her at the show. Alone and upset, she waited in the Ladies room till she could no longer hear any commotion. When she was in the lobby, Chad came up to her and asked her to have a drink with him. As they talked, Madison decided to do what she wanted and she wanted Chad. They retired to his room. Sparks flew, passion unleashed and Madison had the time of her life. When she awoke the next morning, feeling embarrassed she decided to slip out. Chad was not having any of that. He told her they owed it to themselves to find out what was between them. He asked her to go to the States with him. Being from England, Madison had never been there. She adored Chad and it appeared he felt the same. So she made a decision to go with him to his home in Miami. Sasha was surprised but supported Madison's decision. During the honeymoon phase, Madison was deliriously happy. Chad was everything she could imagine. But then her insecurity creped in and she also became very jealous of the women that Chad would perform with. She knew she was being unreasonable with herself and with Chad. What will Chad do when he discovers how Madison really felt about his job? Will Madison accept Chad as he is or will she give up and go back home to England? Can Madison find her inner strength to overcome her insecurities and make a life with Chad? Can she live without him? What about Chad, will he fight for her or let her go? I enjoyed reading this quick story. I would have loved to read about Eleanor finding out that Madison had spent the night with Chad and he asked her to go to the states with him. I feel that this had the bones of an excellent story. I felt disappointed that there was not more to the story. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book via Hidden Gems and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow!! I think this one broke my Kindle!! RIver Laurent certainly brought the heat with this book. Ever wanted to run away with the hottest stripper of them all? Well that's exactly what Madison does, as much as she can't believe it. These two are boiling hot and learn each other and their ways inside and outside of the bedroom. A great and sexy read! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Chad = 5/5 Heroine, Madison = 5/5 Chemistry, = 5/5 Sex, = 5/5 Plot = 4/5 Mystery = 1/5 Action = 1/5 Darkness = 2/5 Humor = 2/5 POV = Dual Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
Oh god... this was just not catching my interest whatsoever. The plot idea sounded nice but... no.
First of all, Madison irritated the shit out of me. She let her friend Eleanor talk down to her and throughout the whole book she acted insecure and kept going back and forth with Chad. She didn’t want to bring up the fact that she felt insecure and jealous and possessive over his job but he was a fucking stripper and gave women lap dances and she witnessed a woman kiss him on stage so I think it’s a little understandable how she’d feel that way.
She also refused to confront Chad when he was being distant and decided that she was going to go home to London instead of talking to him. But the night that she was going to tell him she was leaving, he proposes instead and she says yes right away and all is forgotten!! Oh except for 2 minutes later when she says she’s pregnant and thinks he’s about to change his mind and say he doesn’t want it.... 🙄🙄
And I swear I was about to start counting the number of times I read the words “once more.”
This story was just irritating and I didn’t really like it at all. I ended up getting the box set for free from amazon but I’m kinda on the fence if I will continue... this just wasn’t for me.
It was an ok story. It moved along very quickly and not in a good way. I think the author could have focused more on the “relationship” and not so much on all the sex. In the end, it didn’t make sense why the author didn’t include the man’s point of view as to why he was pulling away from her. I understand that it was supposed to be a small surprise for the reader as well as the woman. Oh, and please do some editing.
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed reading this story about Chad and Madison. Definitely Magic Mike quality. Madison is a young woman with a little extra fluff. She is friends with a skinny mini named Eleanor. Eleanor convinces Madison she needs to go out tonight to a stripper show since the just broke up with her boyfriend. Madison feels bad but Eleanor makes her feel self-conscious. Elenore is determined to go home with the lead dancer, Subway Chad. Upon arriving at the show Madison can't believe their seats. This is totally out of her room of comfortableness. Once the show starts Madison is enjoying herself, all the girls around them are standing up except for Eleanor, she thinks this is so she stands out. When Chad comes out on stage to dance the place goes nuts. He selects a woman from the crowd to dance for on stage, he happens to pick Madison not Eleanor. And she's piffed. There's an instant spark between the two of them Madison is not sure if it's just on her side or not. After a crazy dance and her licking whipped cream off of him he walks her back to her seat, before he leaves he talks a piece of paper down her cleavage and says to call him. Eleanor's absolutely livid and drugs for the bathroom and starts to belittle her. She even goes as far as taking the note from her dress and throwing it in the toilet and flushing it. Saying she's going to get him no matter what he said Madison. Madison hangs out in the bathroom until after the shows completely over decided to stop at the bar to calm her nerves. While she's there Chad happens to come up to her and suggest going back to his room. The chemistry between the two is outrageous and crazy. Chad is never felt this way for someone else is never had that spark. He decides he's going to ask Madison to come back to Miami with him and she agrees. Madison has a little bit of jealousy when he goes to his next show and the chick has him but Chad only has eyes for her. A whirlwind Romance and crazy amounts of chemistry. Follow the two as they figure out what it's to be in a relationship with each other, with Madison and all of her insecurities and Chad settling into a life that he's never expected he was going to have. I definitely recommend reading the story

Madison's friend Eleanor tells Madison that she is taken her to see the all male review featuring "Subway Chad". Madison had been coming off unexcited and Eleanor wanted her to go. Madison buys a dress that her sister the seamstress fixed for her. Eleanor couldn't believe how good Madison looked but Eleanor had other motive for taking Madison. Eleanor was going to try and sleep with Chas. Once the show was underway Chad comes over to Madison and takes her up on the stage. Eleanor was furious thinking it should have been her instead. Chas gives Madison his phone number Eleanor ripped the paper out of her hand and through it away. It just so happens that Chad sees Madison and comes over to her. They have a drink and talk a little then they go to his room and then the night begins. Chad had never been with someone that her being just pulled her in. Chad asks her to come back with him to America but of course she was still leary if he was playing with her. Chad and Madison get back to Miami and Chad wanted to take her to dinner. While they trying to figure out what to eat a gaggle of girls came up flirted and asked for an autograph. This went on throughout the night while we were there. Madison insecurities came back but Chad told her that happens all the time. Chad could pick up on her anxiety. Chad started to be a little distant and Madison in her insecurity decided to might want to go home no return to London. Madison calls her sister to tell her she might be coming back to London. Madison tells her sister about what had be going on then drops a bomb shell on her. Chad's been really wondering why Madison had been pulling away. Will Madison and Chad be able to continue their relationship?
This is a fun, sexy and super sweet novella where the nice girl, the "not a toothpick girl", the quiet girl gets the super, duper hot stripper guy with a heart of gold. Insta-lust/love fantasy novel featuring a quiet BBW and the gorgeous man on stage, taking his clothes off for hundreds of screaming women. How does he pick Madison out of the crowd? She doesn't believe her own luck!
Her (supposed) bestie dragged her out to the strip revue and her BFF was psyched to get a mouthful of the lead dancer Subway Chad...because well...you know...12 inches... Eleanor, the friend, dresses Madison in a frumpy dress and plans to bring her along to make herself look better. Luckily Madison's sister comes to the rescue of the hideous dress and she's sexy and ready to go to the show when Eleanor arrives. Eleanor is pi$$ed off, but still certain she's got no competition from Madison when it comes to catching Chad's attention. Boy, she could not have been more wrong!
Madison gets called up on stage and lets loose. The chemistry between her and Chad is off the charts incredible and neither of them want the 'private' dance to end. Eleanor interferes again after the show, but if it's meant to be, it's meant to be...
Chad and Madison end up sharing a night to remember and then Chad makes her an offer she can't refuse! It might seem crazy. It might seem fast. But to Madison and Chad, it just seems right.
Will their whirlwind romance last when reality rears it's ugly head? Can Madison stay secure in their relationship, when Chad grinds on stage with different women every night? Is Chad trustworthy and worth giving up her entire life in England?

I read this book as part of an arc program. I loved this hot and steamy read about a young woman named Madison from London who had lost her job and caved and decided to go with her best friend to a male strip show. Madison's friend Eleanor had recently broke up with her boyfriend and wanted to pick up the headliner stripper Chad. When they were at the show, Chad called Madison up on stage where he gave her a lap dance and then slipped his phone number to her. When Madison returned to her seat, Eleanor was furious and dragged her to the restroom to talk. Eleanor found the number and flushed the paper and got mad at Madison because she was so jealous. Eleanor ended up leaving Madison there and Madison was embarrassed so she waiting in the restroom until everyone left. When she was getting ready to leave, Chad saw her and asked her if she would have a drink with him. She ended up staying the night in his hotel room and Chad asked her to go to Miami with him. Chad offered to pay her way and told her she would stay with him. Madison decided to go and live in the moment. This was a good story and I loved how Chad knew Madison was different and special. I love he wanted to take her home to Miami with him. It was a case of instant love and Chad wanted to support Madison any way he could. Good one.
Madison's best friend, Eleanor , just broke up with her boyfriend and talks her into to going to a strip club. Madison is a little down herself she lost her job and has gained a little weight and looks at herself as frumpy and plain compared to her friend. They go shopping to get her a new dress she picks a dress that the color is perfect but doesn't fit well. Eleanor tells her its perfect. When Madison's sister stops by she takes one look and tells her it looks bad but since she is a dress maker she can fix it while she gets ready. The dress turns out perfect accentuating all her assets and she looks beautiful. Eleanor is upset when she sees her. The whole idea for them is to make Eleanor feel better and she wants to hook up with the lead dancer, Chad. But things go bad between them when Chad picks Madison instead of Eleanor to go up on stage. Chad noticed Madison right away and new there was something special about her. What happens when Chad asks her after 1 night to go to America with him. Will Madison go and will she be able to control her jealousy when he dances and takes other women on stage. I loved this book. The characters are well rounded and its written well. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I have mixed feelings on this book. There were some parts that I thought were very well written and I felt like it was about to achieve a book breakthrough and then... well, it never quite got there.
Let me say I don't mind insta-lust in books and can accept (near) insta-love at times. This one was insta-insta lust and love and it was just a bit much for me. The whole thing felt rushed and no where near believable and I tend to like that little bit of "this could actually happen" in a romance.
Then there was Madison... her insecurities about herself just took over so much of the book. And while I accept that people have insecurities, to have them come up again and again and again and again in the absence of any logical reason why, with the hero of the story doing everything short of having a tattoo on his forehead saying "I think you're great!" just got old.
Overall the dialogue was pretty good, the plot had potential and some cute moments, the bedroom scenes were steamy. Recommended for people who want something very fluffy to read, without much substance. Thanks to Booksprout for my copy, my thoughts are my own.
When insecure Madison is coerced by her "best" friend into going to a male revue show, she never imagines she'll meet and fall in love with one of the dancers - the headliner no less!
I thought Too Hot to Handle was super sexy and ooey-gooey sweet, but way too rushed and insta-love for my tastes. Madison was far, far too insecure for me, making it really hard to connect with her. I thought her insecurities got in the way of the pace, muddling things a lot. In a seemingly contradictory way, her being so insecure stalled their relationship from moving meaningfully forward, yet at the same time, they got serious way too quickly. A very weird, hard-to-read contradiction. I did like Chad, although he wasn't developed enough.
So if all you want is something sweet and sexy that won't tax your mind or your heart, Too Hot to Handle is the story for you. However, if you're after something with punch, a well-developed, meaningful story, I'd skip this one.

This was a terrific story, I loved it. I had trouble putting it down, it captivated me from beginning to end. The reader experiences instant attraction between Madison and Chad. Madison is a young woman who is dragged along to a concert by her best friend, who turns out to be not so much “best” as vindictive. Chad is the lead dancer in a male stripper review. The attraction I’d instant and intense. The chemistry between them sizzles off the page. The couple takes a huge chance on each other to explore where the attraction might take them. River Laurent writes characters with real feelings and characteristics. The story takes a journey that many of the readers might wish that they had the courage to follow themselves. I was very happy to read that the couple found the happy ever after that they both deserved. I’d recommend this book without any reservations.

TOO HOT, SOMEBODY GRAB ME A TOWEL!!! Wow guys! I'm not sure you read the same thing I did. But holy hell that was hot. River brings it for this sizzling adventure. And what an adventure it is. H-A-W-T. This guy is a killer with a Mr. Universal body to die for. Oh look who gets that hunk. An unsuprisingly a gorgeously beautiful lady inside and out. Go on all you jealous cats. You've been dumped. Me, I love it. You have all the hot, sexy set-up, with a little spice to add a little flavor to the mix and man have you made it to hot to trot. The chemistry between them was off the charts, hot as hell, and then you put them together and the house is on fire. Twists, turns and some very unexpected surprises that definitely bring the "boom". Phenomenal job River, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.
Indeed the main female character had a very hot commodity in the main male character. They have a very sensual relationship. The reader can feel the want between the two main characters. After a brief time together the main female character leaves her country to go be with the main male character. What a leap of faith this move is. She has a turbulent time with a lot of self-talk to try and work through and handle what the main male character does for a living. The main male character is all in to this relationship and is solid in his support and caring for the main female character. This is a really beautiful story that gives the reader hope that they too can perhaps have such an amenable partner.
Great reading! Highly recommend this novel to all romance affectionadoes.

4.5-Stars for this quick, fun novella length read. It's Chad & Madison's story, Chad is the lead in an all male review, Eleanor, Madison's friend, lusts over Chad and wants him to notice her and take her for a one on one romp. What Madison realized is that Eleanor is a nice friend, she is using her "to look better, to look thinner, for Eleanor's body to stand out against Madison's curvy body. What no one knew is that Chad likes curvy women and once his eyes met Madison's in the crowd, everyone else disappeared and he only had eyes for Madison. Their connection was instantaneous, they chemistry palpable and nothing will prepare you for what follows when the hot, sexy playboy stripper only has eyes for Madison, the beautiful, inside & out, woman who's curves he can't get enough of. Definitely Recommend this quick afternoon read!
I saw this book advertised on Facebook. I had recently finished River’s book Sweet Revenge, and was intrigued by this story. Omg holy moly this was like a 5 alarm fire. Eleanor was no friend. And I’m glad she served no further purpose other than griping like a sore loser. I loved how he went right to Madison. It had a cool Cinderella feel, that he would be attracted to her. I knew from moment he invited her onstage he was a goner. Their chemistry was beyond blazing. Usually that sort of thing fades but in this case it burned even hotter. Madison’s insecurity drove me nuts at times, but that was part of who she was. He literally worshipped her, and I loved how sweet and patient he was with her, even when the green eyed monster reared it’s ugly head. It was a great story with some minor grammar and editing errors.
Do you believe in love at first sight? How about an extreme attraction at first sight? Madison is a beautiful curvy woman who is a bit insecure of herself and part of that is thanks to her friend Eleanor. She doesn't realize how bad her "best friend" really treats her until the night they go to a strip show. That's where Chad comes in. He is the main man in the show and is known for his "assets". When he picks Madison out of the audience and pulls her on stage, that is where her friendship with Eleanor will take a turn. When Chad asks Madison to go with him, will she? Can you put all of your eggs in one basket and trust someone that you really don't know? This is a quick read for an afternoon of enjoyment.
When Madison is dragged to a sexy stripper show by her best friend she never thought it would change her life. When she lays eyes on the lead guy Chad she can't stop thinking about him and the pull she feels towards him just threatens to consume her. When he Calls her on stage her whole world turns upside down and she can't get enough. Chad knows the moment he lays eyes on the sexy woman in the audience she is different from all the rest. He has to see her so he calls her on stage and from there he doesn't let he go. Can two people from different countries who are opposites in every way make it work? What a fun passion filled romance with a twist you'll love.
Who doesn't love dancers? Chad (aka as Subway Chad) is the lead dancer for a male revue show. When he invites curvy Madison on stage, he realises the connection he feels with her is special. Chad and Madison have some pretty strong chemistry together, but the curvy girl has a hard time believing her man is truly into her. Will her jealousy and insecurity keep this smoking couple apart, or can they come to a compromise? This story is primarily character driven. I really liked impulsive Chad. He had enough experience to know how special Madison was and acted on it. Madison knew he was a good guy, and it was her own internal struggles holding them back. Fast moving story.
I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.
So captivating, fun, and hot! This is a relatively quick read but definitely steamy!
Madison is a curvy woman with self esteem issues. It doesn't help that her so called friend likes to put her down. When her friend Eleanor is so down because of a breakup, she talks Madison into going to an male strip show. Eleanor had every intention of meeting the star, Subway Chad, and having a fun night with him. But Chad picked Madison from the audience instead!
The chemistry between Chad and Madison is super hot! Overall, this is a well written and very entertaining story. I love that the heroine is curvy and very relatable.

I just loved this book! The way Chad and Madison met was a once in a lifetime opportunity! And then for her to take a leap of faith and move with him made me love her even more! They had a few bumps in the road on their way to eternal happiness, but I am happy when things ended they way they did before it could all fall apart. The chemistry between them are electric and you can feel it vibrating off the pages! The characters was really well developed and the plot was well thought through. There is an overall good feel to the book with very little drama. I loved it and would highly recommend this book to all!

This is a good romance about a curvy; kind-of-shy woman with some major insecurities compliments of her bestie Eleanor, whose friendship it seems has its own agenda. Not really a great best friend at all. The story centres on the whirlwind romance between Madison and Chad – the smoking hot headliner for an all-male review … aka strippers. Madison and Chad have an instant and intense attraction when they meet. Despite their sizzling chemistry, Chad has his hands full (figuratively speaking) at times trying to convince Madison that she is who he wants – her insecurities run that deep. Ultimately, this is a sexy, sweet romance with plenty of steamy scenes and a great HEA. I received a free copy of this book from Hidden Gems and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Madison and Chad meet while he is headlining an all male review. Its unexpected as she doesnt believe she deserves him. Her best friend, Eleanor, and her get in a fight as she wanted Chad but blamed Madison for stealing the spotlight. Their friendship was twisted. The author did a good job pulling emotions out of me as a reader. I hated Eleanor and I cried with Madison when she thought things were falling apart. The relationship between Chad and Madison developed at warp speed but I loved every second of it. I read this one with KU. It's a treat as the author has included some bonus reads.
Madison goes to a male stripper show and meets Chad the lead dancer and connects to him. Talked into going to a male strip show by her friend Madison get called up on stage and meets Chad the lead dancer. They seem to connect. Her friend has a row with her as she wanted to attract Chad's attention and storms off leaving Madison to get home on her own. Chad finds her sitting on her own and asks her out which turns into spending the night. Chad asks her to go with him to America to his home in Miami. Madison agrees but wonders how she will cope with the change. A sexy hot romance to relax and enjoy.

It's a warning. This book is too hot to handle. I loved this book. The way Madison has the body image problems that all women have, the insecurities and the jealousy issues, really touched me. But what touched me more was that Chad fell in love with Madison at first sight. No matter that thousands of women throw themselves and their underwear at him....it's Madison that he fell for, hook, line and sinker. And to top it all he's willing to work out a solution to her insecurities? Man this man is gold. A really scorching hot read that has a really sweet heart in the centre. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and I thoroughly loved it.
