When Eve moves from Ireland to London to work in publishing, she becomes involved with Patrick. She meets his daughter, the fiery teenage Kate, and recalls her own outrage caused by the disappearance of a father and the silence that surrounded his absence. Her desire for self-discovery and independence in London, along with new-found passion and tenderness, yields intense drama as the past begins to trouble the present.
This is a bit different- an interesting take on an intense romance, with an age difference which doe snt flourish because the circumstances are not right. For a novel with not very many characters and not many scene changes it is quite compelling. It would be more usual that I lose interest in a book which I started out enjoying, but instead this one grew on me as it went one
