--- PLEASE NOTE ---

Inside this book is cursing, amusing cursing, but cursing nonetheless. If bad language offends you, perhaps this book is not for you.

Set on the foundation laid by the Kurtherian Gambit Series, The Ascension Myth tells an entirely new story in the Age of Expansion--when the Etheric Empire is fast becoming the Etheric Federation with all of the trials and tribulations that come with bringing together different peoples, systems, and ideals.

Friend or foe?

A blip has been discovered in the outer satellite data. It has been to amorphous for the operators to identify exactly what it is. The Fleet Commander, Ekks, has been trying for months to drum up support for launching the fleet. This appears to be the perfect opportunity.
Meanwhile, Molly has decided that they need to go and look for themselves. Thanks to Ben’or they have a fleet of Zhin ships to back them up.
The forces behind Ekks are looking to make trouble.
Molly is determined to make peace.
It won’t be easy. This is a great series but I have extrapolated that you should read the Giles Kurns books before this one. At the moment I’m so caught up with this point in the story that I’ll have to go back to them afterwards! I feel certain that the Giles’ books could be read seamlessly if slipped in before this book.
You really need to read the series from the beginning to appreciate all the little things, especially Molly’s interactions with her mother.

Wow, this felt quite intense. I enjoyed it very much, and it felt real to me, in the way that people were reacting.

It's going to be interesting to see just how Molly, Arlene, and Anne, are going to be able to turn things around, and prevent the Estarians from being tricked into the worst decision they could make!

I must admit, I've not really liked Sean's character very much and, in this book, I found his actions so very arrogant - but then, I guess he's a product of his training, when it comes to it!

I'm very much looking forwards to seeing exactly what the TAR's have in store for Molly and Co, though!

So, now I've finished this, I've looked at my reading list, to see that I'm staying with this series for a change, and will be reading book twelve: Ascension, next - wonderful stuff!

Good book.

I thought it was a good book in general, but I disliked the ending. It felt like the author hit a deadline and just chopped it off. I would call this an interim book. One that just sets things up for the next book. Nothing is really even begun to be finished by its ending. While it may be necessary to chop storylines up over more than one book, I personally prefer a definitive ending for each book. I didn’t feel that happened here. Sure a few goals were achieved, but nothing really satisfying to me.

Love the Author notes and Book

I'm British so love it when Eli gives God's (MA) a hard time over his Americanism 's.

I can wait to read the next Giles Book as I think it will explain a lot of the events we've missed leading up to this book of Molly and crew meeting The Ascension Race and if you've not read the previous stories I strongly recommend as it's covered in books 1=4 with Ascension Myth as well as some of the Kurtherian Gambit Books explained by some of the skills Bethany Anne has.

Next to worthless

I still don,t like how I pay for the crap you say in the last 10% of the content. I really don't care what you are doing with your life. Spend more time on the story. This book was boring. There was little real action, mostly people just setting around talking about what they were thinking about not doing. I'm sorry, but you need to get back to more action if you are going to continue with the series beyond 12.

Empending Doom

The title has nothing to do with the review. The doom is the end of this 4 story arc and the end of the 12 book series. Molly and the crew have become family and I will miss them and this ride. This book is bringing it all together, the plot thickens like a good roux, just enough spice to give it a base but not enough to overpower the love that is the gumbo. Thanks Ell and Yoda!

Still ticked

Did I miss a book? Where the whole back mission with the archeologists were Involved? The books have ignored that topic much to my disappointment. Then it's comes back. The ignored abilities come out. You never developed it. You never developed the archeologist aspect. That is actually interesting. Fine dont do the work. Just come back on vague allusions and then bring it up. Sorry I'm not a happy reader.

This book is about the age old question: Is the "invader" friendly or hostile? A question we face every time we meet a new group. We want to assume friendly, because very few people want to fight. However, we also want to be ready to fight in case the group is hostile and wants to change everything about us. The story is good, the characters are well fleshed out, and the plot is full of twists and turns. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys their mind exercised.

More is revealed.

There are a lot of characters in this series. I am still tracking loose subplots trying to figure out what is going on. Some character clarification is given but they are really blurring together. The grammatical errors in the author's notes were the final star. ;-}

Invasion by Ell Leigh Clarke continues the predictable pattern of the series, offering few surprises but maintaining its familiar rhythm of character camaraderie and galaxy-spanning stakes. While the plot unfolds as expected, the storytelling structure—told through overlapping timelines and multiple points of view—adds some narrative tension.

The standout element is the introduction of the ancient race that seeded life in this part of the galaxy, whose sudden appearance and demands raise the stakes significantly. Though more of a setup than a payoff, 'Invasion' expands the universe’s lore and sets the stage for the final confrontation.

Penultimate fabulousness!

Love Molly and crew! This is a terrific addition to the arc and I can’t wait for #12. Except I will always want more Molly. It’s wonderful to have an MC that’s flawed yet always striving to be better.

Penultimate book...

>pout< I've truly enjoyed immersing myself in this series, and Invasion continues the planning, plotting, surprises, and character development. I'm sad that there will only be one more book, so guess I'll have to read-read this series at a later date.

Loved this book and the way it sets everything up for what promises to be a spectacular wrap to the arc in Molly 12. Molly has been a favorite character since her inception; it’s been a joy to watch her come into her own throughout the series.

Another great installment

Molly and the team take on more adventures and tricky situations. More of the nice human touch with mum and daughter relationships. Just have to wait for more now.

The AR are back

Once again Ell and Michael have knocked it out of the park with Invasion. They weave a story showing the strengths and weaknesses of the team. They are facing the biggest challenge so far. Enjoy!

Good read

This was an excellent chapter in the Molly series.
It ends in a pseudo-cliffhanger, so i suggest that you have the final book, book 12, waiting in the wings.

Thankfully you can skip most of the content.

Stellar Arc

Yet another amazing book in the tribulations of Molly & Co. Dastardly plots, potentially invasive elder species, and plenty of snark!
