A Wealth of Information

I recently decided to try my hand at grooming my dog, a West Highland White Terrier. With Covid 19 and all the necessary restrictions I thought even if I wasn't interested in becoming a professional groomer we would both enjoy the time spent together. This book points out good advice on the health and care of a dog and not specific grooming advice. Very informative and enjoyable reading.

Very much geared towards people who want to start grooming professionally, but as someone who just needed to learn how to make her yorkie not-ugly after an awful grooming experience, it was extremely helpful. Genuinely covered EVERYTHING you could possibly think of (removing gum + skunk spray, why dogs itch, what haircuts to give a mutt, clipper troubleshooting, different coat types, what different terms in shampoo/conditioners mean...)

This book was mostly helpful for at home grooming. some of the book was more for professionals or out of what i thought the book would be. Overall, it was a helpful book on how to from a dog!

I bought this book after reading "Dog grooming for dummies." This book provides very clear and detailed information on grooming techniques. It is so much better than the Dummy book. It even have a photo and tip for trimming a dog's facial hair and the model is a Shih-tzu! Now I know how to deal my Lilly when she is resisting from grooming.
