3,0 💫 | Este manhwa era justo lo que necesitaba para mi bloqueo lector. Fue cortito, lindo y cero tóxico 😭💖. Escriban más de esos, plis 🙏. Ahora iré a buscar otros que se parezcan 😌. . . . . . . . Spoiler: yo quería ver a frijolito 😓
So technically, I believe this entry is for the novel version of Bye Bye. I definitely want to read it in the future.
I, however, read the webtoon adaption. Which was good. But it's also kind of a mess. The art is cute. The story deals with very intense subjects. So I'm not sure how similar the tone of the novel is to the webtoon. But my biggest complaint is that the attempts at humor felt forced. It was funny, I found it cute, but it felt very out of place next to the very serious subjects of grief and depression. I understand dark humor when dealing with grief, but it wasn't something like that. It just felt like a mashup of two stories in a sense. Also, the main character seemed very, very oblivious about everything. It was a concerning, gaping plot hole that they seemed so out of it. No awareness at all. I'm now very curious about the source material. I found the emotional bits of the story very moving and relatable, I just desperately wish there was more character and story development than there ultimately was.
Nice artwork but the story seems to be nothing new or different from any others I've read. A lot of misunderstandings and they way side characters have been disappearing I would say this story contains Stockholm Syndrome if it weren't for the Alpha being so nice. Still he is isolating the protagonist out of jealousy so still not a healthy relationship.
Nooooo this makes me so sad. #1 I had no idea this was going to be a supernatural romance (which is one of my favorite genres) but #2 it was completely butchered. I'm so devestated. I had such high expectations for this story and it just fell flat. I could get over it in the beginning, but the more I read, the more upset I got. I realize these are fictional characters but I draw the line at not respecting someone's feelings (especially when you have the nerve to tell someone they don't look depressed) and don't even get me started on the dominant alpha traits - that doesn't mean you ignore when someone says "no or stop". I kept reading because I was really hopeful it would get better, but for me, this was one of my least favorite reads...and it makes me so sad I could cry. But I won't go so far as to say it sucks - it just wasn't for me.
Was a quick & fun manwha, it was mainly focued on romance and stuff an not really about the mental health part but at the end who does'nt fall for that hot Alpha?! 🫶🤭
