My life is always busy travelling extensively for work, and I often used “I don’t have enough time”, “If time allows…” as excuses for not to do things. I knew I needed to do something to have more time for what I really want and recently a good friend gave me this book. I was sceptical and decided to give a quick read on a flight and I got totally hooked up.
Wow. The Time Cleanse by Steven Griffith is a life-changing book ever.
The book helped me shift my mindset and relationship with time. A clear understanding of my life value by going through the Time Cleanse was truly eye-opening breakthrough to me. Unlike the time management strategies many of which I tried, Steven Griffith's "Timefulness" concept helped me start feeling fully present at the moment improving the quality, experience, and performance with my time. By embracing the Time Cleanse principles and applying 100% actionable step-by-step system, I could remove a lot of my wasted time and reinvest into spending more quality time with my family. I was even able to get extra time to start a pilot school, which I always wanted and I’m so happy and grateful for this amazing book.

This book gave me a new relationship and reverence for time. He deep-dives into the importance of having a good perspective of time and how we can use it to optimize our lives rather than fall victim to it and be buried. We first must adapt a healthy mindset with time to use it as effectively as possible. This begins with realizing our core values we want to live by for prioritization purposes, followed by mapping out how we choose to organize our days accordingly. He also deep dives into distinctive ways in which time can be used, e.g, technology, people, activities, etc. I have been intrigued by how detailed he was in informing us on how easily distracted we can become in various ways throughout the day to remain unproductive with our time .
He then moved on to speak about the correlation between mapping out or days and being present. This factor of mapping out our days is imperative to “living life to the fullest” as he describes. This galvanizing read lead to me practicing meditation and optimizing my free time to be as productive as possible. I want to continue to implement these strategies into my life because of how empowering each and every day can be.
He then finished the book with an emotional story connected to one of his mentors he had known for over 30 years. This story encapsulated the brevity of life, and how quickly it can go by. This scene was depicted in my head, and I immediately looked at how I am spending my life. I want to maximize the amount of memories I can have my making the most out of each and every day. It’s about the journey, not the destination. Thank God for this book and it’s inspiring and challenging content. Would definitely recommend people give it a read to gain control over their lives, ultimately leading to the autonomy we are all searching for!

“Enlightening book that will change your perspective”
I have always understood the value of time in my own definition. Juggling between working full time in medicine and running my own business outside of my work hours, I was practically forced into learning how to balance my time. However, I still felt that I had an insufficient amount. I needed more time for other important aspects of my life like for family, friends, and myself. It wasn't until I read The Time Cleanse by Steven Griffith, that I really gained an understanding of all the time I actually have.
Before picking up this book, I thought it was just another book about time management, but it isn't. It taught me about the aspect of detoxing my time and exchanging wasted time doing "mindless" activities with productive tasks. Through this book, I gained an illuminating sense for the value of my life. I learned how to prioritize and spend my time the way I truly want to, which helped me on my decision to pursue my dreams in working full time in my business.
I cannot thank this book enough for the decisions it has helped me make in my life. After reading this book, I don't spend my time regretfully and I feel like a load of stress has lifted from my shoulders. I spend more time in doing what I love and with the people I love.
If you haven't grabbed yourself a copy yet, you should! This book will not be a waste of your time.
Wasn't sure what to expect, but this book goes way deeper into time management and the use of time than any other book I have seen. The reason? A concept called Timefulness. This is a whole new framework from which to view time in general and how you use it. For example, if you feel like time is against you and you're always up against the clock (like I felt before the book), it will teach you tools and thought patterns that will help you view time as your friend and as an asset. I have to admit that I found myself taking more time to be conscious of what I was doing, how I was working, and how I was feeling after reading the book. I've had many times since then where I've been able to really feel like time was mine again, and to really enjoy it, even when working. My work is of much better quality as well when using these "timefulness" techniques because my attention is more focused and I'm not feeling time pressure.
Secondly, the book gives you a pretty cool system for finding out how much time you are wasting, (I think I saved well over 15 hours per week) and ways to make sure that time goes towards things that will actually help you reach your goals.
Lots of tips and tools here to help you gain mastery over your time. Great stuff if you can dig into it!
I got so much out of Steven’s book. I’ve always thought that I had my act together when it came to managing my time. What Steven helped me realize is that time was in charge of my life and I was always trying to corral it. Doing the Time Cleanse didn’t just give me back several hours per day but helped me shift my mindset so that I’m working “with” time instead of trying to calendar the heck out of it. I feel like I can breathe again and relax into my day instead of stressing about how to get through it.
I recommend this book to anyone still working the old method of time management. It’s “time” to step up to a whole new level of living every day!
This book is fantastic! Steven walks you though, in a very well written, straightforward, and thought out way, changing the relationship you have with time. Do the worksheets! Put his words and plans into action. Gain control over time and stop letting it control you. Live the life you want, the way you want.
A good book with practices to make you clear about your values and give you direction towards what you want or achieve without making excuses of having no Time. During the course one realise how abundant Time is, all you need is to set your coarse GPS. A must read book for kick starting journey towards achieving your goal.
A different take to the usual time management topic. I would have shortened a bit the book, to walk the talk of the author's message. I picked up a couple of interesting ideas. If you have tried other time management authors, and they didn't work, this can be an approach for you to try.
I didn't realize how much time I was wasting until I read this book. This book gave me the techniques to get my time back and put that time into the places that it matters the most. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs more time in their life.
Time Cleanse book gave us the opportunity to improve our lives by getting “our” time back...changing our habits enabled us to focus on the important people/things and to now have the time for them. No more “We don’t have the time” !!!
It’s a helpful book. Just that I have been impressed by Atomic Habits earlier, some concepts are no longer new and thought-provoking to me, which implies I have to be more careful to select books of similar self-help topics.
If you have read Atomic Habits, perhaps you can skip this one if there is no much time. If you do not have much time, have never read both books, and are quite interested in such self-help books, I greatly recommend Atomic Habits.
The amount of TIME I got back in my daily life after reading this book simply cannot be measured. An invaluable read!!! It's a must read for all of my corporate clients.
