In the book entitled “The Hidden Hand” by Irene Schultz writes about kids visiting their big family at a barn, then learning about the hidden hand and attempting to find out who it is. The authors writing was not powerful at all. The book never cliffhangers and I got really bored reading it, and the ending of the book didn’t make you think wow that was amazing it made you think that was boring. Also the book was really bland, like eating oatmeal with no flavor, from it not having any interesting parts, but how they described some parts were good. I do not feel the book was challenging at all the because the font was huge and after every piece of dialog there would be not any other word said. The strength of the book was how they would describe parts, like when they would describe the food, weather, or an object. The describing was the part that made me keep on reading and also to find out who is the “Hidden Hand” but who the hidden hand was wasn’t really that exciting but sad. The weakness of the book is how boring it is. The book didn't have cliffhangers, existing parts, or mysteries. It felt as if I was half asleep the whole time read the book. I would give this book a rating of three stars, if you are looking to be bored read this book. I would recommend this book to 3rd and 5th graders because of the words it uses and how big the wording is.
I think this book it's a good book, it's about there is a hidden hand, in a family's form. The hidden hand is helping the family. Sometime this story is kind of scary. Because they went to a old form. They think the form have a long history. The thing inside won't work anymore. When they went inside the old form everything is working, they may have someone live in the old form. Before that, one of the person saw a dead body but it gone when they come back. It's kind of interesting. The students are finding the hidden hand. After, they find a hole and found out who was the hidden hand. They make a thank you basket for the hidden hand. I think the dead body was gone because the hidden hand clean it up. Also the things that's in old form was working. I guess someone was living their. And fixing the things that's in the old form. That will be the hidden hand. In the beginning I think the hidden hand could be one of the member in the family. Because the hidden hand did a lot of things for the family. I think why will the hidden hand help the family? And why the hidden hand know what to do to help the family?
I think this book is very interesting, form first the author have a very good start and a very good ending, and form how the book was being written, the words are easy to understand, the story is about a boy with his four friends are trying to find a hidden hands which help them a lot at farming, so they search around the farm and find a old farm which look like someone is living in that house, so they put some fresh fruit with a pics of writing to thank the hidden hand, the next day when they go back and check the fruits is gone but the hidden hand give somethings back just like he is trying to say you're welcome, and I think the hidden hand is a kind guy from he is just helping them for no reason.
This author is telling me that how this kid is a curious imaginary kid. At the very first part the kid saw a dead body near the pond which ends up to a true fact. And the hidden hand is helping him and his friends to find out the mystery. Then they found this mysterious farm. This farm was mysterious because everything was working, for example like the water was very well. At the last part they went to the farm and gave a thank you box, then they came the next day to see what happens but there was this toy chicken in a box.
