FBI Profiler Chase Adams is back for the third installment in the bestselling series!
Someone is targeting high-stakes poker games in Las Vegas, brutally murdering the players and stealing the cash. The last time Chase went undercover, things went terribly wrong. This time, the potential is far worse. But who else can infiltrate the best poker games in Vegas and stop the killer or killers before they strike again?
True story: I used to cut up bodies. No, not for fun, you sickos–for work. After reaching the age of majority and fleeing the clutches of an overprotective mother, I went to university like a good boy.
More than a decade later and an alphabet soup of letters after my name, I found myself looking down the double-chamber of a microscope at an eyeball. Feeling ironically introspective, I decided that it was time for a change.
After seventy plus novels and more than a million copies sold, I’ve found my true calling, one that also includes a plethora of letters. Hopefully you see something in my catalog that you like, something to feast your eyes on.
I also have two spooky podcasts that are appropriate for ALL ages, so long as you like to be scared: P.T. Logan's Five Minutes of Terror and Camp Fear. Both are FREE and available on all podcast platforms. For MATURE audiences, I've created two fiction podcasts, Nightmare Residue and Bad Priest.

I think there might be hope for this obnoxious woman!
I really don't like Chase Adams. Her character is surly and down right abusive to others. She rejects authority and makes poor choices. She has no regard for others and focuses mostly on herself. I keep waiting for some redeeming factor to surface. There was a slight glimmer in this book but she has one foot in a banana peel. She needs to buck up and get her life under control. I hope she takes a step in that direction in the next book.
Awful book for someone who dislikes gambling and Vegas. Everything drags on in a venue of a busy land of people looking for a pay day of pure luck. Fantasy for losers, so is the book as it tries to build a story line of which no one should care.
Drawing Dead is book three of Patrick Logan’s Chase Adams FBI series. I started this series during my local mystery book club. The storyline revolves around a woman in the FBI who has severe trauma after her little sister was kidnapped years before. She’s also a drug addict and can’t keep it separate from the job.
I like that these stories are easy reads. The storylines and settings are different in each book and Logan keeps it entertaining. For the most part I also like the characters in each of these books. Logan has kept a consistent partner for Chase within the FBI and his character starts to develop more in the third book. I like that this book toggled to his point of view of things.
I don’t care for Chase’s drug use / background in these books. I’m hoping after this book that Logan works to move Chase on from that. I feel like it’s a common theme among a lot of police crime series to have the main character ailed with addiction problems.
★★★★ Will read book 4, would recommend the series if you’re looking for some light reading.
I'm having trouble with this storyline and this character. The first book was good..being in recovery myself I understand her struggle. Relapse is a part of recovery and I hoped in the second book there would be more progress. But I'm in the middle of this third book and I'm not enjoying it. I understand that this is fiction but there needs to be a believable factor, and this just isn't believable. She would not be an active FBI agent at this point. She is doing nothing to aid in her recovery and her partner Stitts has got to be the least intelligent agent in the FBI. The only saving grace is that I think the writing is good.
This is the 3rd book I have read but Patrick Logan, he has come to be another favorite writer. Anyone who loves to read a book that grabs your attention and keeps it, this is a must read series. I love to read a book that shows such great characters , you can vision the story in you mind, at least I do . So enjoy this authors great characters as you read and learn all about the way their mind works, all with flaws which makes them even more enjoyable and believable. I am off to read the next "ChaseAdams" amazing adventure. So read and enjoy, because you will not want to put it down.
Ok people, if you aren't reading this series yet, WHY?
So, again, here we are with an all out heart racing thriller that has more twists than a King's Island rollercoaster! Chase is an exceptional FBI agent who is a heroin addict, but trying to fight the beast. Her partner, Jeremy Stitts, I believe is in love with her, but all that is certain is he really cares for her. Chase is self-destructive to say the least, but she is a kick-ass agent! Get to reading, folks, because you're missing out on an explosive series!!!
I'm a little tired of Chase's attitude. Instead of giving her partner the respect and thanks he deserves, she treats him like a second class citizen, doesn't offer him a bit of trust, and he takes it like a wounded puppy. Would not happen in the real world.
The story line, I felt, was rather unbelievable yet predictable. I knew who "done it" shortly into the story. Sure, there were some twists that kept it interesting, like how it was done, but not realistic.
As usual Chase Adams (Patrick Logan )has done it again. Kudos for another great work. Once again great characters, the plot continues, and the storyline flows smoothly with surprisingly unexpected twists and turns. However, the reader ends the last page with a smile and an expectation of more to come in the next episode of Chase Adams FBI Agent and her partner Agent Jeremy Stitts 😀, (he's good also).
This book was better than the previous for me. Although Chase needs to seriously go through rehab and complete it she didn't do too badly in this one. Oh she had her moments and as we know she can be very caustic. I'm not liking the way she is treating Stitts but he's allowing it to happen - its a 2 way street. He seems to be going through his own crises so to speak. The ending was sad. He was a hero before and after as Chase said.
I have rated this book a four star for the third book of this series. A page turner for sure. I actually liked this book a lot better. Chase Adams getting clean helped a lot. I'm still trying to like Chase Adams. She rubs me the wrong way not really impressed by her rudeness , hot tempered , and blind disrespect to her partner or others for that matter. But who knows she might just grow on me yet.

Chase comes out of rehab and heads to Vegas with her partner to solve a robbery and murders of a elite group playing high stakes poker. Will she be able to hold it together or will the allure of the heroin call her back?
Chase is back again, this time after a little rehab!!! I really liked that the fbi got to work with someone that had a bad rap because of perception instead of fact and in the end, I love that LVPD had to publicly call the shunned one a hero!! 💖
Okay, bottom line is I'll read the next one in this series. That said, I still don't like Chase....she's just not my kind of person, even handicapping due to her last horrors. But, the writing is great and I really like the plot. Like I said, I'm conflicted.
Once again Chase Adams had me on the edge of my seat! She is a mystery in herself, you never know what she is going to do next. I love these Chase Adams thrillers... On to book four!! 🙂
I was expecting again to see Chase touching dead people and know what they went through. So I was a little disappointed but just at the beginning, as the plot unravel quickly. I enjoyed the book.
Stays in Vegas! I really liked this book better than #2. Chase is a drug addict so it will always be with her but it is great seeing her involved with what is going on with the case. Greg was definitely a hero and a good guy!
I loved this book. I love that the heroine is flawed and yet successful. i love the sexual tension between stitts and chase (even if she doesn't realize it).
I am excited to see where Chase's search for Georgina takes her! On to the next book!
I love the twists and turns. I don't know whodunit until the end. Chase is frustratingly complex. She's the work in progress and I hope she finds her way.
I really l I kept the character which includes her good side and difficulties..struggles always build character and she definitely struggles. Here I come Amber Alert
Love the chase Adam's series although I honestly have started to realize I'm a lot like chase my anger gets the best of me sometimes too....mostly all the time....
