Wow. What a story. Enough scary to keep you holding your breath and trying to figure out what happens next. Loved it.

This is the third (and final?) installment of the excellent, post apocalyptic, Blood on the Motorway series. I really enjoyed the previous two novels and had been looking forward to reading this one for quite a while. Imagine The Walking Dead without zombies, set in England, and having a spine of darkly black humour running through it. Throw in a sprinkle of The Road and top with the 'no character is safe' mentality of Game of Thrones - that's how I would describe this series!
Like the first two volumes, I really enjoyed this book. It Introduces the reader to new characters and reunites us with old friends, the story continues where the previous volume left off. The characters face new challenges along with the continuing battle for survival and a place to call home. You become very attached to these characters and find yourself empathising and rooting for them along their physical and existential journey. As you can imagine a lawless, post apocalyptic society will present significant challenges and place even those with high morals in situations requiring a choice between the lesser (or even greater) of two evils.
I devoured this book in two days and used any spare time I had just to squeeze a few pages in! Needless to say, if you enjoyed the first two you will enjoy A Final Storm. I can't wait to see what Paul comes up with next and I hope it wont be too long a wait!

Brilliant finale of Blood on the Motorway trilogy. An epic battle; a race against time and all odds for the survivors to get to shelter before the final solar storm hits. It is very well written and I highly recommend it; it left me wanting more. I hope some time in the future that Paul Stephenson will write another book telling us about the lives and survival of everyone in the years following the final storm, in the mean time I'm sad that my journey with them all is now over.

What a great saga.
Love, love, love this saga! I normally hate trilogies, but I could read each of these books back to back. This is an exciting story that keeps you glued to each page. I am so glad that I found this author. I would love another book in this series, but I am also looking forward to reading anything from this author! Keep writing.

A great ending to The Blood On The Motorway saga. I'll miss the Detective and his partner the most, with their wise cracks. All of the great main characters are back, and a new nemesis is introduced. A great story, bringing the story to a somewhat of a undramatic closing, leaving us hanging on certain issues. I do hope that the author does return to the saga to close those issues later.

A Final Storm (third and final book in the series Blood on the Motorway) is every bit as great as I expected. I throughly enjoyed all three books and highly recommend them. They definitely should be read in order. I came to care about many of the characters and shed a few tears when disaster struck. I sincerely hope that you enjoy them as much as I did.
