The author gave this free to all who signed up for her email updates. What little time it took to take care of that was well worth this small book. Having read the 1st 3 books I knew some of the backstory of this prequel. This helped flesh out some of the beginnings of the attack, introduced a new small cast of characters (Midge, Rick, Lainey), & gave the smallest hints of the deeper meaning of the attacks.

This was a quick read. Enjoyable. I want more though! Give me more. Haha

I loved this prequel, free from the author. I have read the first book in the series, Take the Hit, which was brilliant. This wee book gives a little more information on some of the characters in the lead-up to what is reputed to happen.

It was very interesting to read First Strike. Of course I always seem to be backwards in the order books should be read. I read the Northern exposure first but will start the southern one today. Good series so far, I’ve enjoyed it

Prequel to Nuclear survival saga. Interesting premise for a story. Like the idea of young hackers uncovering a threat to security but no one listening to them. Read book one in the series, Brace for impact following Grant who was introduced here. Was ok but wont continue series
