What a fascinating human being. I am slowly coming to appreciate Poe's brilliance (college is actually good for something). Poe's approach to art is also interesting: art is beneficial in its own right, not for the teaching it can do. His ideas force me to reevaluate how I approach writing, poetry, and criticism. Most of all, I need to read more Poe. Especially his essays and reviews.
