Aidan was the love of my life. He left me without a word, pregnant and alone. Well, now he’s back, and he wants me to be his wife?
Erica I knew it was wrong to fall in love with my boss. So when Aidan left me, I made my peace with it. But why did he have to come back? And why does he need me to pretend to be his wife?!
Aidan Leaving Erica was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. But I had to do it...for her own protection. Now I've got a big problem, and she’s the only one who can help me fix it. I might be a billionaire, but some things money can’t buy.
Lost then Found is a full length (65k words) standalone, fake marriage, second chance novel. No cheating, no cliffhangers and, as always, Happily Ever After guaranteed. Enjoy!
Normal friend and neighbor by day, super-secret romance enthusiast by night!
Val’s hands are never far from the keyboard. She spends most of her evenings in front of a computer writing some of the wildest smut you can imagine.
She understands that sometimes you just need to spend some quality time with a glass of wine and a particularly steamy book, and she likes to write those books.
I absolutely hate weak/stupid heroines & arrogant asshole heros, so it wasn't surprising that this was a DNF for me early on. I did try to skip pages to see if it got interesting or if the characters grew a pair, but it honestly didn't.....
In the beginning of the chapter, hero says "How much I had sacrificed to keep her safe", yet he said he "partied hard in the time he was away from her and dated many models and other women". Hmmm....... yes, the poor little lamb made such a HUGE sacrifice! (adding sarcasm here....) and after the douchebag leaves heroine without a word and stays away for 5 years, while heroine becomes pregnant and raises her son on her own, the stupid twit opens her legs for him on the same day he returns and continues to do EVERYTHING he asks of her without once asking for explanations or saying NO!
So if you like shitty characters and a boring storyline, this one is for you..... enjoy!
Five times I tried to stop, but I somehow convinced myself I had to find out what eventually happened in this book. Finally, I couldn't persuade myself any further. I just couldn't finish it.
Reason #1: Really bad editing. Misspellings, missing words, poor punctuation, extremely bad grammar, awkward paragraph formatting. It was cringe-worthy. If I had my red pen, I would be marking up the page like crazy. The thing was is that at the beginning, there was something that kept telling me that this writer had some talent. But the further I went, but more I questioned that first impression.
Reason #2: Poor people-watching. There are certain things that are for certain such as death and taxes. There are a few other things equally predictable. Like no woman will go to her hairdresser without her purse, wallet, or cash. Totally crazy. Another thing is that no woman, unless she was soulless and a sociopath, would not feed into her curiosity. For example, Aiden, without any warning or explanation, just disappears on Erica. Five or so years later, he returns without any mention of his disappearance. Like nothing ever happened... except he's now a father. AND DESPITE HER ANGER, SHE DOESN'T EVEN QUESTION HIM AT ALL??? She just turns into ooze when he speaks to her in that sexy voice of his. And this happens again and again and again and... This isn't how a woman's brain operates. We're talking about a woman who holds a high-level banking position. You can't be stupid and clueless with that kind of occupation. There were times I just wanted to slap that girl to her senses...
Reason #3: Having to protect her child now, she knows she deserves an explanation one way or another. Except she is manipulated with sex and clothing, and a wedding ring and a wedding vow with a contract that after Aiden inherits his father's banking business, they can divorce and she can get one million dollars to raise her son. Uh... we're talking about a BILLIONAIRE, and a million bucks is NOTHING but snot in a bucket. And it takes more than a million dollars to raise a child from preschool to possibly PhD. Child support awarded by a judge would be a lot more than a mere million dollars.
Reason #4: Can you say "too dumb to live"? I haven't seen a heroine of that category in quite a while until now. Why in the world is she wandering around Monte Carlo with her son without ANY kind of bodyguard? Hmm? Not even Aiden? She's the wife of a friggin' acting president of an international banking institution! Prime kidnapping material! Monte Carlo ain't rural USA where a citizen might be able to wander around a corn field without abduction fears (except from aliens in UFOs). I remember a time in which my father's biomedical corporation warned their employees that any travel outside the US (especially Mexico) was forbidden, and if any family member was kidnapped for ransom, the company would not be blackmailed into making any kind of payment. And they weren't any kind of government contract company! But it's reality, folks, and I just couldn't forgive her for her apparent idiocy because ANY woman working for an international bank would know better.
Reason #5: If I had been this woman's editor, I would have tanked the story to begin with because it was based upon ridiculous assumptions. Aiden is highly disturbed by Marcus' incredible knowledge of Erica, yet he believes that just dropping any association with her would stop his stepbrother's prowling? Just like that? Hell, no. If I was Marcus, I would have just had carefully had her killed via contract killer. If he knew so much about her, then why would he somehow not realize she was pregnant by his elder brother who was a threat to his inheritance?? Totally illogical and worthless when it comes to story writing.
As a reader, I would feel insulted that the writer would think I would accept the above problems without question. We readers are more savvy nowadays than we were, say, thirty years ago. This story could had been so much better with better research and editing. So, no, I do not recommend this book. There are other books more worthy of my attention. Sorry, but I call it as I see it.
I am voluntarily leaving a review for an Exclusive ARC I received. Simply put, this was one fantastic read, beautifully written by a wonderful author, with a great storyline. A total page turner from the outset. I loved both of the main characters, the author had written about them with so much depth that you already liked both Aiden and Erica and their intriguing story. It was fast paced and kept your interest all the way through. I hated Marcus’ character with a passion, but hey you were meant too in this superb read! Erica’s Bundle of joy, Jack was adorable and such a cutie. Why did Aiden leave her without a word 5 years prior? Would Aiden do the right thing for Jack and Erica in this His last chance to redeem himself? Could Erica ever forgive Aiden for leaving her? Will Aiden ever tell her the truth about why he left? Or will he disappear again? Will Erica’s Heart ever be his? Why is Aiden’s Family not safe from Marcus? To find out all the answers you must, must read this amazing book.
I had high hopes for Lost Then Found. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to those hopes. For one, there are a horrendous amount of typos, grammatical problems, and missed words. But the biggest problem is the two leads. Aidan is a jackass and never redeems himself. Erica is boring and a bit of a doormat. I did like the steamy scenes, but that's about it. Everything else is flat, boring and unlikable. If I don't like the two leads then there's no way I can rate a story with more than 2 stars, especially if the story isn't engaging and interesting to offset its leads.

Imagine loving someone so much that you are willing to leave them without letting them know why, just so they will live a whole life without you in it. That was something that Aiden had to do to ensure that the love of his life would be safe from an evil man who wanted what he had.
Erica was devastated when Aiden left her without any explanation, then she discovered that she was pregnant with his baby. Five years later he is back. She is still angry with him. Will they be able to fix the past to save the future together? There is a happily ever after for these two, but an exciting story to tell.
I read this book and wanted to leave a review with my honest and fair opinion.
UGH! DNF at 72%. I note this because I really did try to like this book. There are a lot of problems with editing but that has been mentioned in many other reviews. She has no friends. Apparently he doesn’t either. He ghosted her five years ago and she discovers she is pregnant. He shows up again ready to pick things up where they left off? She hops into bed with him right away in spite of how he hurt her. He constantly tells himself why he had to leave but not the full detail and doesn't seem to think she needs to know. I didn’t like either one of them and neither one knew how to be honest about what they felt for each other. Fortunately I got this book through Kindle Unlimited so I only lost a few hours.
A story written in dual POV which gives the reader more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. Well written with nice storyline and plot. She is too weak for my liking and he is a big jerk but somehow the story developed so they got to be a nice match after all. I do not understand how he can have all those woman when he is head over heals in love with another. She should have been stronger when he came back. He was not that remorseful and she just went back into being his bedmate. I would have like more depth and action to the story. Sometimes the characters and story gets boring. But it is readable and be aware of this is only my opinion.
I must admit that at first I didn’t really like Aidan. He came out as a little too arrogant for my liking. Through the book and while we got to understand all the reasons behind him leaving Erica, I started to like him. The suspense and that action filled ending, made me truly understand the feelings between them. Even thought I had mixed feelings through the book, I really enjoyed it and I surely recommend it!!!

Wow. This book is worth the price. I just couldn’t stop reading it once I started. The love Aidan felt for Erica must have been so great for him to do what he did. This book is filled with drama, an immensely great love affair, sexual chemistry that is off the charts, a lot teachable moments about communication and amazing writing that culminates in a totally awesome storyline. It is a definite must read book with a great recommendation as a pleasurable read.
Lost Then Found: A Billionaire's Second Chance Romance
This was wonderful story, with romance, suspense, healing, love ,excitement, terror, madness, and most of all a wonderful loving ending with a big happy family wrapped up in a super great future full of happiness and safety. A great fantasy in modern times.
The you for writing such a grand book that is a page turner!

I couldn’t finish reading this book. I got as far as chapter 14 and called it quits. The main characters in this book are boring. There is no excitement, no clever comments. I was just outright ... bored. Hoping someone else has better luck. Maybe this book just isn’t for me.
This has so much going on. Love then abandonment. A child and the the return of the father plus a proposal but was it for love or money. You will need to read the book to find out.
I enjoyed reading this book by this wonderful author. It was a page turner and well written. A second chance for Aidan who had to leave Erica, his girlfriend in order to protect her from been armed. Beautiful, wonderful characters and lovely scenes. I received a free copy for my honest review
This was a story I couldn't put down! It was frustrating and emotional! The characters were so real and one could feel the emotions that they were going through! Thanks for this great book!
This story was great from beginning to the end. It was surprisingly good, and fast moving. Characters felt real, and someone you would know. Even the ending was in tune with the rest of the storyline.
The story of grief turned to madness as the core. Erica and Aiden losing each other for years because of a threat that Aiden wants to negate. Valerie weaves an intricate and emotional and internal battle for the reader to enjoy.
Wow I truly had to make myself finish this book. And yes i skipped through some of it.. This books ok is super slow with a little suspense at the end and good spice. But yeah, being a romantic at heart I wanted the HEA.
A very good book. I really enjoyed the book and once I started reading it I didn't put it down. If you have read it please do so I am sure you will enjoy it.
Lost Then Found had a little bit of everything - second chance, suspense, surprise baby, fake marriage (are those ever as fake as they're meant to be? lol) I loved how much of a momma bear Erica always was to little Jack, and watching Aidan grow into being a father made him a much more lovable alpha male. Despite the lies these two tell themselves they aren't just pretending to be a family, they are one. But sometimes the pain of the past and lies of the present are too much for a happily ever after kinda future...
The story was well written and fast paced and intergalactic to an engrossing storyline with awesome characters. It is a romantic suspense beginning right where the first part of the story left off in the book of Lies. This is drama, with suspense, a little action, hot, breathless, scorching, hot romance. Also includes lies, danger, twists and turns on an emotional rollercoaster to a perfect ending. After the con, Kian and Suria have to work on trusting each other thru many ups and downs in finding her sister. I love how she is still discovering more about her family. I was trully engrossed to the end.
