Is her enemy the love she’s been waiting for?

Grace O’Brien lives an unapologetic life – one where she uses magick and attitude alike to live exactly as she pleases. With talents far beyond what most can comprehend, Grace dances through life with verve and enthusiasm.

But it isn’t all magick and mirth. A secret haunts Grace through the darkest hours of the night. For in her heart lies the soul of a fierce pirate queen, one that has loved and weathered unequivocal loss. Now, as she hopes once more for true love – a love that was promised to her – It seems that Grace might not always be able to get everything that she desires.

From the moment that Dylan Kelly sailed into Grace’s Cove, the town captured his heart. Pulled by an invincible need to move to the village, Dylan changes his entire life to finally focus on his passion project. When Dylan runs headfirst into the indomitable force that is Grace O’Brien, he battles both his attraction and his ethics in order to pursue the one thing that matters most to him – building his legacy.

As centuries blur and souls collide, Grace must come to terms with the fact that she can’t control everything – even her heart.

I Can't Say Goodbye!

I have fallen in love with Grace's Cove and the magic of Ireland through Tricia O'Malley's Mystic Cove series. I have read every book of the series and have loved them all. Yet in book 7, Tricia adds a special magic, a love that has lasted through the centuries of past lives and shows up in modern Ireland and Grace 's Cove, in the form of Grace O'Brien and Dylan Kelly. Grace is the now grown-up daughter of Keelin and Flynn O'Brien from the first book of the Mystic Cove series. If you read the series you know that when baby Grace is born she is joined with the spirit of the Pirate Queen Grace O'Malley for whom the cove is named. This story takes place now that Grace has grown up ,living her life her own way, with magic that goes beyond that of her cousins, but following her mother and great-grandma's healing arts. Dylan is a shipbuilder and business man that finds himself drawn to Grace's Cove in a way that he does not completely understand. But he is determined to complete a legacy project in Grace's Cove no matter what. And that puts him on a collision course with Grace O' Brien who proves to be a force to reckon with. I refuse to tell you more as it will spoil the book but it is well worth your time to read this book and find out how the two characters end up settling their conflict.
Tricia O'Malley has a way of painting a word picture with her stories. As you settle in to read this book you can just imagine settling into the pub for a pint and a good gossip. You can see the cove, the magical beach and the water that shines blue when true love is present. And I guarantee you never want to leave.
I read this book in less than a day, staying up late at night and forsaking much needed housework for an imaginary trip to Ireland. It was worth putting up with my husband's displeasure about having no clean underwear, (to his credit he is a better housekeeper, cook and handyman then I am and usually would take my being lost in a book astride, if not for an injury that has forced him on crutches...but I digress!). I hated to say goodbye to Grace and Dylan and all the great characters of Grace's Cove. I only hope Tricia is inspired to write about other future descendents of Grace's Cove (Hint! Hint!)

3.5 stars. Definitely could’ve been 4 stars, I loved the chemistry. But the writing felt all over the place. Maybe rushed?

This is my least favorite in this series. How do you go from Fiona being alive In one book to Grace being grown and Fiona being dead in the next. This book was disappointing is so many ways. Such a shame as I have enjoyed the other books so much.

This is the final book in the series! OOOO MY POOR HEART! SOBS!

The story takes place many years in the future. Baby Grace is now all grown and has taken ownership of Fiona's store and home after Fiona passed. Everything seems perfect, except Grace keeps having dreams of her past life and past lover who was taken from her way too soon. Things get more complex when Dylan Kelly sails into town to build his legacy. Through some silly legal stuff, it turns out Grace's house and land are bought by Dylan Kelly. Even more complex...Dylan is the reincarnation of Grace's past lover.

Poor Grace. LOL. She can't help but love this man even though he is trying to take away her property. What a complex situation to be in!

I wanted to SHAKE Dylan. IDIOT. Super, big, dumb-dumb. Lovable and sweet in his own way, but DUMB-DUMB 100%. Just tell her the truth about what you plan on doing to the land!!!!!! GAH. COMMUNICATION PEOPLE!

I enjoyed this overall even though I wanted to shake Dylan. It was cute and sweet. Grace is a fun character. I wish we could get more of her!

Sighssss I am so sad this series is coming to an end. There are so many tales to still tell. Like Dylan's friend. HE NEEDS LOVE TOO! I adored him. So romantic. So sweet. He has a heart of gold. SOBS. I do not want to say goodbye!

The narrator was fantastic. I believe she read the other ones too (my mind is not all together...long weekend). She really is fantastic at the Irish accent!

Overall, I really enjoyed this. I am sad to say goodbye to everyone and this world of Irish magic. I highly recommend this series. It was a good one. The narration was fantastic. I'll give this 4 stars.

In Book One: Wild Irish Heart, the reader is introduced to Keelin O’Brien, who travels from Boston to a small village on the coast of Southern Ireland called Grace’s Cove. Keelin meets her grandmother Fiona and learns that she, too, is part of the family’s inherited magical tradition. The cove is filled with secrets, and Keelin is determined to understand the magick found in the enchanted waters of the cove. This book sets up most of the characters for the subsequent novels.

With each new book, we’re introduced to characters found in the previous book who also possess some interesting power given by the magick of the cove. As the story progresses, we learn more of Grace, the pirate queen who bewitched the cove long ago. It is through her lineage; the women are all connected.

By book six, Grace’s spirit is reborn into Keelin’s daughter, also named Grace. Like the women before her, Grace possesses magical powers. She also has to deal with a few past life issues that are interfering with her current life. By the time you read the seventh book, the interwoven lives of the seven women have found their way into your heart. Keelin, Cait, Aislinn, Morgan, Margaret, Fiona, and Grace all have a story to tell.

The significance of the number seven figures prominently. In many cultures, the number seven is beneficial and protective, and in these novels, everything revolves around the protective qualities of the cove.

The characters, the writing, and the location made me fall in love with them all. I also discovered that I enjoy character driven stories. These seven women come full circle in their life experiences. There’s more here than just romantic fluff!

I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I'm giving it a 3.5 stars.

First of all, Fiona is just like dead almost immediately into reading this book. Which seems wild to me because the last book was literally about her and John. I know she was still present within the pages, but it still felt like a slap in the face that as a reader we were just supposed to be like 'okay, she is dead but still around as a ghost so it's okay' but I'm not. It wasn't okay.

This novel really felt like it jumped the gun for me. We went from seeing Grace as a baby/small child in the last book to now being fully grown, as well as the other children of the main characters. I felt like we lost so much information with this time jump. Also what was with this whole Morgan needs to help the children of the other blood line thing? That wasn't mentioned in this book at all.

I adored the chemistry between Grace and Dylan. I would have loved to see more of her past lives as Grace O'Malley through the ages -- but here we are.

What I felt like this novel did well, was bringing The Cove and Fiona's cottage into the forefront again. The Irish landscape was a main character this time around. And also the town hall meeting kind of harkened back to Fiona's witch trial that the entire town was a part of.

Mr. Murphy is a gem in this novel as well as Rosie. Although, I missed seeing Keelin and Ronan (who I also presume is dead) within this novel.

Can't wait to continue this story as well to see if the plot from the end of Fiona's book will ever come back around !

It;s been so long since I've read one of these books that I had forgotten how enchanting they are. Tricia O'Malley writes books with strong female leads. In this series they're all a little bit magical in one way or another. This book is the story of Fiona's great grand daughter, now a grown woman who just happens to be the reincarnation of the very first Grace, who was a pirate queen and the founder of Grace's Cove, which is where all of these stories take place. Fiona has passed on and now Grace lives in the little cottage that overlooks Grace's Cove. That is until the day she's delivered notice to evict immediately because someone has bought the property and wants to destroy the cottage to build something else in its place. Battle lines are drawn but Grace is torn because her enemy is the reincarnated soul of the man who once shared a love that would transcend time with Grace's ancestor.

Grace

This book is 20 years or so in the future baby Grace is a women now and lives in her great grandma Fionas house.grandma Fiona has passed away 3 years ago at 103 years old (so maybe it's 30 years in the future) Grace is kind of living the same life as Fiona with a dog called rose.in her cottage.I thought she owned the land so I don't get the renew thing.
I also wondered about John (in another body) when did he pass how long did they get together.
Also is there only two kids? There was Fiona (caits baby) and Grace (keelins) I'm sure there was more kids? And why didn't Grace have brothers or sister? I would of liked to see how many kids Etc I was disappointed in this furture book could of been better

A pirate queen in a past life and a magical healer in this one, Grace is one tough and loving woman. She lives in her great-grandmother's cottage on enchanted Grace's Cove, land that had been in her family for many generations. When she gets a thirty day eviction notice she's in a rage and soon the weather is too. All too soon, Dylan, the new owner, comes on to her property intending to build there. Dylan is as stubborn as Grace and has no intention of backing down from his land lease. This book is full of surprises, enchantment and great characters. I'm so glad I got the chance to read it early. I loved it!

I have loved every book in the Mystic Cove series and this one did not disappoint. It actually makes me want to go back and read the whole series again!
I don’t buy many books as I use KU, but I’ve bought this entire series because I love them so much.
Grace, the Pirate Queen, lives life the way she wants to; along with her cute dog, Rosie. A little magic here, a little magic there. Nothing can stop Grace until Dylan comes to town claiming he bought her property and is going to tear down her cottage. Dylan is also her long lost love reincarnated, but he doesn’t know it. Can their love really transcend all time?
Can Ms. O'Malley keep writing more books in this series? Pretty please!

At the end of book 6, it was going to be a toss up of whether we were going to find the new magical family lineage, or soap opera fast forward to the babies all grown up and get their stories as the back half of this 12 book series. Soap opera timeline it was.

Grace and Dylan meet in this book as the reincarnation of Grace O’Malley and Dillion her one true love. She is well steeped in to her magical existence as the powerful pirate queen. Dylan doesn’t really believe in any magical stuff because he thinks it takes away his free choice. He tries to buy out her land and evict her while she fights for the land that had been in her family for generations.

It's been a couple of years since I had read the earlier books in this series, but boy did I fall right into the storyline, the past relatives, and the beautiful Irish coastline. Another beautifully written story by this author with characters all around that you can't help but fall in love with. This story of Grace and Dylan particularly grabbed at my heartstrings and kept me entertained until the final page. I read this book with my KU subscription.

I really enjoyed Grace's story. I would have given it a higher rating but felt the story was not completely there. Dylan's acceptance of the magic and past life felt to rushed. His emotions taking care of Grace after the healing were missing and he had to be feeling something (guilt, concern, wonder, lust, love). Even Rosie seemed more involved in caring about Grace. This story needed more emotional envolvement from Dylan.

The beginning or the end

Grace's Cove! Who is Grace O'Brien--well we all know because we read the series. If you know the women of Grace's Cove you know nothing is easy if you go up against one of them. Add to that a busybody ghost, constant nightmares and magic. I am not giving anything away but I highly recommend this book and the entire series--thanks Tricia O'Malley.

Mystic cove series

I loved every book and every character in this series. Also love that the "Isle of Destiny series" intertwined with this one. Both series are magical and fantastic reads hated to put these books down. Lamenting the fact that I am done with both series. Hope there is more.

Awesome

This has been a great series. Book 7 was the best not that any of the others weren't. Grace was so romantic, tragic that she relived the love of her life. When she found her true love only to find her heart broken. But what sealed this for me was the life saved. Truly caught me by surprised.

The sisterhood

Even in the last book of the series, all of the sisters and their gifts come out when needed.
I love the bond of sisterhood the writer has created here.
The fact that no matter what kind of gift the girl ends up with, she has an awesome legacy of women there to help her with it.
And they prove to her to always believe in yourself!

Grace is a strong and loving woman. She dreams of her lost love, Dillon. When Dylan comes to the here and now, it's not how Grace thought it would be. He is trying to evict her from her home. For weeks, they butt heads. Of course, like the rest of the men, Dylan runs when shown the true Grace.

Wonderful book. I believe this is now my favorite of the series.

This was probably my favorite book in the series and I almost didn’t read it due to the beginning. I am not giving it five stars due to the timing. It felt like something was missing between the end of the previous book and the beginning of this one. There was no mention of the things brought up at the end of Fiona’s story plus she’s deceased when this book begins. 💔

Wonderful, captivating, love story.

Beautiful imagery and delightful storytelling that brings you to a point where you can feel the breeze and smell the seashore waves. The visions of the pub and the characters in the story are wonderfully created in your own mind. Looking forward to the next Tricia O'Malley book!

Best in this series!

I never give 5* ratings, but this is the exception. I’ve read all the previous books, so was familiar with all the characters. I literally went through the gamut of emotions, crying happy and sad tears, and actually laughing out loud. I’m eager to start the next in this series. Highly recommend.

I love this series, and want to live in Grace's Cove. This instalment centres on Grace, Fiona's great granddaughter. Grace is a healer and is happily growing her business of herbal and traditional medicines and beauty products and living in Fiona's cottage. Until the day she is served an eviction notice by DK Enterprises, then just strap in for the battle.

Grace and Dillon

I was skeptical at first taking the leap so close to Fiona’s story. But I quickly grew to love this wonderful take of lost love and renewed relationships.

This is a story that’s defies boundaries and travels through time. Grace is just as amazing now as she was then.

This is a must read for all of the Grace’s Cove lovers.

a surprising read

I was started to see that we jumped 25 years ahead - missing Baby Grace grow up with all the other wonderful children of Grace’s Cove. But after getting over that, this turned into a wonderful story that I had a hard time putting down. A great read - wonderful characters - and I’m already pulling to see more of Liam in future books. Fingers crossed.
