I’m not sure if this is really the end of the series, but if so it isn’t a bad ending. Some aspects of the big battle were a bit ridiculous, there was more standing around exchanging banter than actually getting on with destroying the demons. Also why when they have thousands of rounds of anti-demon ammunition didn’t they just go in and mow most of them all down in one go?
However, this has been quite an entertaining series and overall it was probably worth three stars.

Enjoying the concept and humor as usual but disappointed that there was less (excuse the expression) face time for Katie and Pandora. The constant viewpoint changes tend to annoy the hell out of me (no pun intended) in most books and we really don’t need multiple viewpoints from Charlotte, Timothy, Brock (annoying douche) that feels like filler or an attempt to make these two newer characters more important than they are or might be for the future. I felt like even the General appeared too many times and why did we not get to see or hear the conversation between Katie and the General after he supposedly trudged uphill in a desert to speak with her? Did I black out during that scene or something?

The constant Stephanie/Korbin viewpoints were getting strenuous too but I understand it was intended as a goodbye of sorts. I didn’t care much for the turn Stephanie’s character took towards the last couple of books... kinda screamed Tabitha to me and I’m not a fan of hers either. The point is... Katie and Pandora are essentially the Stars, the glue, the whatever that are featured on the cover and in all the descriptions so why their appearances seem limited versus the rest of the fluff characters is beyond me.

Nephilim? I found it amusing that Katie witnessed and heard everything in the final battle yet didn’t once question what she heard afterwards.

PS - She better kill every kitten and puppy eating mother fucker she finds in the future books. Baal and Moloch’s nuts need to be roasting above that soul fire in his office.

I am in love with Pandora.

Okay, kick ass Katie and her supernatural passenger from hell, Pandora are back for another exciting round of demon eradication. The rest off the team is still intact, but big changes are coming in this book, we find out who Pandora really is, her brother has big plans to take over the earth, there is political intrigue going on in hell which might mend one chapter of the on-going story, and in the end big changes for Katie and the team.
If you follow this series, you will love this book. If new to the series you might need to check out the other 7 books before diving in to this transitional story. May not make sense to you.
MA somehow keep inventing these new universes with new characters and story lines. He may be, though collaborationist a bunch of good new authors be the most prolific writer of this genre living today. I really don’t know how he does it, but I am glad he does!

Secrets Revealed

Wow this 8th book was quite the ride! The reader finds out Pandora's true identity! No spoilers it is worth the read. We also get a hint, which I had already guessed, of why Katie is do strong. I was so excited when I read it and had guessed right. Some of the core Killers are let go to live a normal well earned life. The huge battle with the demons was well written and such an epic battle! I am excited to see where Brock will fit in, perhaps a guy for Katie? He too was able to talk with his demon as is Ellie, making me wonder if these characters and Timothy are all like Katie. This series is so interesting and I sense a bit of Heaven will come into play soon! Thank you so much for a fantastic series, now it time to get typing! I am dying for more!!

Come at me bro

I don't know what the hell is wrong with Brock's demon but she is funny! When she was singing her own words on stage?! I fell out of my chair laughing. I can see her and oh man it's funny! I know Pandora can hold a few demons, I was really surprised she wasn't asked to switch Timmy and Brock's demon. That would be so much easier... and probably less funny... so nvm. And I knew Pandora was getting ready to drop that bomb on us and act like it was no big deal... Ma'am! That's a big deal! I was not expecting that of Korbin and Stephanie. Good luck you two! Oh I probably scared my daughter for life when I showed her the excerpt of Moloch snatching kittens out of a popcorn bucket 😂 *evil cackle*

Protected by The Damned keeps getting better .........

This series of books gets better everytime a new one comes out. We learn that Katie has a secret that she is unaware of, but Pandora (her demon) does and uses it for both of their sakes. We also learn about Pandora's true identity which means the "theory" that I've had for a while is true.......FIST pump in the air.....

This series of books is well thought out and the characters come alive while you read giving you sense of being there yourself.

Good book, damned good author..... don't miss this chance.

Katie and Pandora at their best!

Having hot use to Pandora helping Katie save the day, this one was over the top and couldn't have gotten any better. The Authors have managed to produce a metamorphoses of the previous books in the series to produce a book that encompassed the the climax, of the series, from the very start. The revealing of the true Pandora was just one of the suprises included in this book that was up the ending of the Protected By The Damned series and introduces the War of The Damned series. This was definitely a 4+ stars read. Expect the unexpected!

Yeah, say to let.The military get in their licks

Nice story, got.rid of the big bad brother, actually kind of a letdown. However, it was nice of Katie and Pandora to trick T'Chezz into getting big enough for the Stryker and helicopters to finish him off.
My only major issue is that the big.bad demons eat puppies and kittens as snacks😬. I find it interesting that I'm more upset by this than I am on their noshing on humans. What does that say about me, other than that I'm probably a perfect reader for this pair.

Love does not describe it

Flaming 5 star rating. Lots and lots of action, new revelations to Pandora and maybe Katie...New members and sad goodbyes. It's got romance, action, blood and gore, and comedy, what's not to love. Get it and start from the first book of you haven't already. You won't be disappointed. Now the authority just needs to write faster and get us the next installment.

It Comes Together

Pandora reveals more about herself. Katie kicks ass. Love blooms. The last battle scene was monumental. What about Brock? I wonder what his role will be. He seems taken with Katie. I like the action, humor, snarky dialogue, and romance. This book was wild and very exciting. We are leaving one arc and moving into another. I look forward to the next book.

Daammm! I think this one was the best of all!! Katie and Pandora kicked butt and saved enough for everyone else as well. I'm a little nervous though, how will all that media coverage going to affect the teams? (Not everyone will know the Mercs with red rings around their eyes are the good guys.) I can't wait for #9. I meant to give this a four but there was a donut crumb on the fifth star!

Not really, just a joke for dedicated readers! Sorry to see whose gone at the end of this book but they got the send offs they deserved, even the bad guy! Can't wait to dive into War of the Damned, I know it will be as great a series as this one!

Saved the best for last

I really enjoyed the wrap up of the first arc. Katie and Pandora are always a hoot, both snarky. The rest of the team are more like Family than most blood families. Have some fun with these guys and see if they are able to kick some butt while eating all the donuts.

Book 8

Great storyline enjoyed this very much can't wait till they are all in audio. I tend listen via either audio or text to speech while driving. The trip from Ardmore to San Antonio went by fast. Now back to my reading for what's next to listen to to McAllen.

I love this series.

Katie is a great character. But, I must say Pandora is my favorite. The only thing I don't like about this series, l keep craving Donuts and Chicken nuggets for some reason. It sucks because I am gluten intolerant. Lol life sucks some time.
