I made the mistake of reading these poems without first understanding how the ghazal worked, and that made it a bit of a challenge, but then, I don't find poetry intuitive to understand and engage with, and as a result, find it easy to dislike that high learning curve to understand how poems are built and meant to be understood. I don't recommend picking up this book to read and learn ghazals from, but as with much poetry -- there are great images and turns of phrase, rich vocabulary and good use of white space, pause, enjambment, and end stops. Lots to work with and admire in the maze of vowels and consonants.

For me, this is one to come back to, to examine with care after establishing a better conceptual understanding of ghazals and anti-ghazals.
