Katherine can’t catch a break. You’d think dealing with the Zombie Apocalypse would be bad enough, but the living can be just as dangerous.
Life on the trail was hard. With her three companions, they had witnessed and survived the decay of humanity, turning people into monsters as bad as the ones that would eat them alive.
With their relationship uncertain, and the ever growing problem of The Crows, Katherine and her guys struggle to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Will they perish, like the morals of those around them, or will they fight and rise above the monsters and social constraints that would keep them apart. Find out in The Crows!
I love the characters. We have Eli, the take charge leader, Lucas, the silent thinker, and Jude, the sweet Jokester. Kate is a strong female lead who knows when to follow orders but won't be a placemat. I enjoy how she really blossoms and comes into herself.
The problem I had with the dialogue in the first novel is not present in this one, which I am extremely happy about, because there is nothing to take away that 5Th star now.
*HAPPY DANCE*
I will be avidly waiting to see what Ellabee has planned for us next.
I loved this book more than the first book, The Sightless, which was surprising since the Sightless, was a VERY good start. I loved how the characters developed and the plots twisted and turned in unexpected ways, I never know what was going to happen and never failed to be surprised. This book straight up pulled emotions out of me. if anyone saw me I would have been committed to an asylum. I was laughing, gasping, holding my breath, I had to shut my eyes at one point and gather myself to proceed, I was a crying mess at times, and I am an ugly crier too. I highly recommend both the Sightless and the Crows to anyone reading this.
Oh my goodness! This is such a great book! The character development is really good, but I love how the story develops even more. There are a lot of twists and turns that I didn't see coming, and that ending! I haven't been this excited to read the next book in a series in a very long time. Great job!
I loved it....horror, zombies, RH what more do you need.....it has a great story line, it kept me anxious to find out what was going to happen next and the way it ended OMG another hair pulling go insane cliffhanger I already can't wait to read it again and to get the next one.... amazing job on another great book 😊
Katherine and the guys spend a lot of time apart in the book, after joining the army. We learn, as the title suggests, a lot more about the crows. Expect lots more action, some more information on the virus infecting everybody and whether. We meet new characters along the way who i liked. That ending though WHAT DOES IT MEAN ....???? Can't wait to find out.
I absolutely enjoyed this book, excitement and bad guy, love and zombies, what more could you ask for. The story line is just great, I think it is balanced well not too much of one thing. The writing is perfect. Ellabee Andrews definitely created a wonderful story and I cant wait for the next in the series.

Now after all the happenings of The Sightless you think that this relationship and adventure would be smooth sailing. Well strap yourself in as The Crows going to changing things and you don’t want to miss a second. Andrew’s return to dystopia world she introduced to readers in The Sightless isn’t any easier. It’s been barely a minute since we left Katherine and the guys, however things aren’t just easier since the end of the world as they know it. The group have been through a lot and unfortunately things don’t seem easier in this one. The Crows who one of the focal points in first book still rear the ugly head in this one. Coupled with other events , the gang got their work all cut of them. After how things ended, I was on tender hooks to see what would happen. As the first book set some expectations that I hope I still would have after reading this book. This book is jam packed to reflect where we left the gang and don’t fret , Andrews knows how to keep readers hooked once again. Things become very interesting on all fronts and you won’t be disappointed how Andrew tells the story and how things end up. Everyone gets their time to shine and the way this world expanded allows for new horizons. I think works well as we need new devices to help the continuing story. This second instalment offers an interesting turn of events. Whilst expecting one thing and getting so much more , it’s hard not to enjoy the journey and let the escapades of the gang capture your attention for a couple of hours , Andrew delivered a strong second book that took on more than its fair share of plot development . The Crows is perfect title for this book given the plot in this book and how it ties to the first book. Whilst it’s not smooth sailing ahead , there is plenty to enjoy and love about the gang. It’s quite an instalment and sets up the future well. Though you may wonder why did Andrews put us through all that though as I couldn’t image things differently. I like it the way things are.
I already know I love a good zombie movie, and I enjoy books that zombies play a role in. I have really enjoyed diving into this apocalyptic version of sightless zombies. I think what I like the most is how fluid the main characters relationships progress, it doesn't come across as forced or rushed in anyway. Of course there is still the sense of urgency that hovers over the story but it doesn't overwhelm the story or take away from the action. This series has surprised me because as much as I love a good zombie movie I've taken a break from the genre because the tv shows have made me tired of zombies. If you find your in the same state of mind I would still recommend reading these books they have something I've been missing in this genre for a while now.
This is the second book in the revel and rot series and it only got better. So much happens in book 2, but I refuse to ruin it with spoilers. Quite a few surprises are in store for you, and not just at the end of the book( Although that gave me one hell of a surprise). Be prepared for the feels when you read this one, as it made me cry several times. The ending is perfectly tailored to take you by the heart and pull you to book 3! Although nobody likes cliffhangers, this one was so shocking and will make you absolutely NEED to read The Wasted Book 3. Ellabee, you have earned a true fan for life, and I look forward to travelling the rest of this journey with you this fall! Please don't make me wait much longer!!!!! LOL
This was even better than book one! Zombies are my favorite things to read about it watch and this is one fantastic series so far. I was so shocked by the turn of events in the last few chapters of this book, so good! Things got a bit steamy with Kat's delicious men and lots of action packed zombie and crow killing, and it turns out being the one to comfort little old ladies really makes an impact. Can't wait for book three, Ellabee Andrews, I think I'm in love with your brains!
Love this series, exciting adventure with all the feels- Katherine is back and so are her sexy men. I never thought the zombie apocalypse could be so sexy. This book had me turning the pages right through the night. It leaves you with a bit of a cliff hanger...and I've got to say, I can't wait for#3!
I love the way Ellabee writes. It’s sometimes a little disturbing but you always feel her passion. This was a journey that will take you on a very wild ride. There are so many twist and turns that will leave you breathless or queazy but so worth the read!!! Loved it!!!
This book was absolutely amazing! Each book in this series I read just gets better and better. So yes I do recommend this book but if you haven’t read the first book then I highly suggest that you do because otherwise you’ll probably get confused as to who’s who and what’s what.
In book two of the Revel and Rot series, we learn a lot more about Katherine and her guys as well as some side characters such as Jim and Brady. This is the book with the feels in it. The characters aren't just struggling to survive, but also learning to live with each other. The ending wasn't totally unexpected, but now I need to open book 3. Like, right now!
Not my regular type of story. I don't watch the walking dead and that kind of stuff! This book however grabbed my interest enough to cause me to need to read the finish.
This second book in the series is even better than the first. The trails and tribulations of Katherine, Eli, Jude and Lucas are something from a horror movie.
TW Rape is always an uunderlying threat Parent dies from Cancer 2ndary character dies
A disease, found in the ocean, created by human waste is infecting humans that swim in the water. The CDC, trying to cure this disease, accidentally creates a far worse issue. The people that were injected with the Concoction created by the cdc, turn into zombie like creatures. Kat and her best friend, Eli, are camping during the outbreak and it saves their lives. During their trip, traveling the Appalachian mountains, the Dual come across Logan and Jude… making their group a foursome. Their destination is Eli’s moms home, which is located in a secluded area in Maryland.
This is a pretty SlowBurn, with no action happening until the second book. The story is told mostly from Kats POV but there are several chapters from other characters.
This is a trilogy, however the author has written another series surrounding the life of the groups daughter, Hope.
I was kind of scared at the end, but everything turned out to be fine. I didn't like some deaths either, but it's not a LGBT book so it should be okay, I guess. The writing is a lot better in this one. Still kind of telling and it feels like you're not experiencing things at first hand. And that's kind of irritating. But okay. It's a Zombi Book, RH and polyamorous. Such a perfect blend of genres. I don't know what else more I could want. I'm pretty satisfied.
It wasn't bad, maybe even a bit better than the previous book, I just got bored. And if there's one thing that really annoys me when it comes to books, it's to get bored. Maybe it's the writing style, maybe it's the characters, not sure. All I know is I'm waving goodbye to this series.
